Another beautiful thing about Shaheedi degh is that it brings peace in the mind and anger gets under control. Alcohol is the opposite and it increases quarrels and fights. If there are constant fights and quarrels in a family, Shaheedi degh is a must there. -
Nihangs survived on wood charcoal!

I hv had Shaheedi degh many times now. I hv also had different types of Shaheedi deghs ie.one with less Sukha and one with garraa(more) Sukha. If one has Shaheedi degh daily, mind and body gets used to it and Nashaaa starts to get under control. If one has Shaheedi degh once in a while, it’s better to have less Sukha vaali degh. i hv also observed another beautiful thing. If one starts to do Simran immediately after having Shaheedi degh, the effect of Nashaa starts to get lesser and lesser and it totally finishes off in a shorter time frame. -

I hv been told by Nihangs that Shaheed Singhs consume lots of Sukha. Wherever raggraa of Shaheedi degh is done by a nice Singh, Shaheed Singhs are present and their kirpaa happens. All troubles are removed and prosperity happens. Sarbloh Granth Sahib and Shaheedi degh are 2 very big gifts of Guru Sahib to Khalsa Panth. Both bring lots of prosperity. There is a Nihang bolaa. Raggroo Raggraa hoyeee bhukhaa nangaa rahe na koyee where raggraa happens, nobody remains without food and clothes -

Power of Ragraa! Mahakaal Surjit Singh used to make shaheedi degh by doing raggraa of cannabis leaves, tree bark and salt. He dint hv access to almonds, elaichi, khass khass etc. Such is the power of raggraa that great kirpaa of Shaheed Singhs happens and all troubles are removed. This place is so prosperous now. -

Siberia is a vast land full of natural resources and amazing wildlife. How will we hv Khalsa rule there without jhatka and shikar? -
https://kashmirscanmagazine.com/2023/04/the-return-of-wild-boar/ To indulge his hunting instincts, the wild boars were introduced in Kashmir by Maharaja Gulab Singh, the Dogra ruler who bought Kashmir from the Britishers in 1846 for 75 lakh Nanakshahis under the Treaty of Amritsar. Intisaar Suhail, a wildlife warden in south Kashmir, said Dachigam became the first habitat of the wild boars where Maharaja use to go for hunting. “After independence, the population of wild boars started to decline. By the mid 1980’s, it had become a rare species,” Suhail, who has carried out a study on wild-boars, said, according to reports. With the end of the Dogra rule, the presence of pigs in a Muslim society triggered a cultural and religious uproar. According to the Islamic scripture, Muslims are advised to keep their distance from pigs. Dr Khursheed Ahmad, who heads the Centre for Mountain Wildlife Sciences at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology said that there were concerns “over the presence of the wild pig in the valley and due to mass agitations by the locals, steps were taken to eradicate the non-native species from the Kashmir forests.”

How an old abandoned man became a nice Singh!

A 70 year old man was abandoned by his family as he was suffering from many illnesses and the medical treatment was too much for the family. This old man came to Nihangs. Nihangs gave him Amrit and baana and a roof to stay. This old man could not read or write and his memory was very weak too. Nihangs told him to listen to Nitnem daily and worked hard to make him memorise mool mantar and brahm Karach. At present he does 1000 mool mantar and 500 brahm kavach a day and his health and memory has greatly improved.

Hunting wild boar was a very favourite activity during the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. After his death and the fall of Sikh Empire, gulab singh Dogra became the ruler of Kashmir and introduced wild boars there for hunting purposes. Wild boar is not native to Kashmir. https://india.mongabay.com/2023/05/the-return-of-wild-boars-in-kashmir-threatens-the-hangul-habitat-and-crops/ Wild boars are not native to Kashmir and were first introduced in the region during the time of Maharaja Gulab Singh (1846-1857), the erstwhile ruler of Jammu and Kashmir. Intesar Suhail, a senior officer with the Jammu and Kashmir’s Wildlife Department, who has co-authored a 2017 study on wild boars, explained that wild boars were introduced by the Maharaja for hunting purposes. “The animal flourished for some time. Then in 1980, it vanished completely. It was not a native animal,” he said.

https://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/88750-bravery-of-nihang-singhs/ Around 2006, Nihangs came to this place. This place was famous for robberies and murders and everyone was afraid to travel through this place. Nihangs started to live in a tent at this place. One Nihang by the name Mahakaal Surjit Singh lived here permanently all the time. On some days he even survived by eating the coal left after burnt wood. Dhan Dhan Dal Panth! They have preserved Baana, Dumalla, Shastar vidya, Shaheedi degh, Dasam Granth Sahib and Sarbloh Granth Sahib.
