Baba Sheehan Gill was a great sikh of Guru Hargobind Sahib. He used to do great sewa of Guru Sahib. He used to jhall (wave) a pakhhii (hand fan) on Guru Sahib all the time and was awarded with the title ‘jhalli’. Everyone started calling him ‘baba Sheehan gill jhalli’. He got Shaheed by fighting against Mughals. His got his head cut but still kept on fighting just like baba deep singh ji.

The place where his head got cut is established Gurdwara sees ganj sahib. and where he got Shaheed by fighting without head is Gurdwara Sidhsar Sahib. He also got cremated here. Both these 2 Gurdwara Sahibs are located in village Sihaurra in payal Tehsil of ludhiana district. It’s very near to famous village dhamot. 
Some people of Gill jatt surname call themselves sher gill and some gill jhalli. Gill Jhalli gotra (surname) has its origins from baba Sheehan gill jhalli. There are 32 villages of Gill Jhallis around village Sihaurra.

Nihang Singh told me that leaves hv almost negligible nasha before the flower pods (dodde) are formed. So leaves are used for bhurji when the poppy plant is small.

The leaves can also be eaten raw but before the flower pods have formed. They are crunchy and very similar to a lettuce leaf. There is no bitterness and when we can get 'em, we love 'em. However, be sure to eat them before the pods form.

In any case, I hope that they Taliban and all such parties stay confined to Afghanistan and leave us (rest of the world) alone. But this is wishful thinking. These fellows are not going to sit idle and will certainly try to take over Pakistan and eventually India. Many of our Mahapurakhs have predicted that prior to Khalsa Raj, an army from Kabul side will take over Delhi and the fight that will ensue will lead to Khalsa Raj. Dr Surinder Singh jee used to say that when the army from Kabul will march to Delhi, they will commit incredible massacres along the GT road. Countless will die.

If you look at Dr Surinder Singh jee's and many other such predicitions, and then examine the Gazwa-e-Hind prediction that Muslims are waiting for, it seems likely that something of this sort will happen. Another fact that makes this likely to happen is that the Indian army is now mostly Baaniya and non-combat quoms who will run away at the first sight of tough Pashtun and Baloch army. Don’t forget the climate change thing. Most Indian cities are in water shortage. Water level going down and heat waves and crop failures and Indian Muslims breeding like crazy and here in Up having 6-8 kids from single wife. We can hv civil wars in india due to water shortages and crop failures.

India has very less oil and imports oil from other countries. That can also break india. Also read about peak oil. We hv used most of the easy good oil and we hv also reached the peak. Peak oil will be a big thing in coming decades.

I agree.I myself stay away from poppy plant. It’s highly addictive.

in UP, selected farmers are given licences by the state govt. to grow opium. I would like the same to happen in Punjab. Opium has always been some part of our culture. It will be good for economy and has medicinal and pain killing properties and would be a very good substitute for our smack addicted punjabis. But as you said, it shud be properly regulated and balanced.

Sukha shud make an entry into our houses and shud replace alcohol.

I find it maha admin cut when someone says all nashaas are bajjar kurehit. Only tobacco is bajjar kurehit.

Champa means flower and according to Inderjit singh raqbe wale Champa was used as a code word for opium as this letter was sent to Nahan and could have got into the hands of Mughals.

There is no flower other than opium that can relieve tiredness. Plz watch the video. It’s pretty easy to understand what Champa means Afeem here.
