KULDIP SINGH KHALSA ,have composed a breath taking, immemorable poem.He pesents this poem so that people get to know about this daring,
resilent, courageous and colourful community. The community's clout
counts globally.
KHALSA-THE ARMY OF AKAL PURAKH ----KULDIP SINGH KHALSA
Laid on the blood of martyrs
cladded in splendid turbans
The Sikh faith,immensely logical,proved historical.
Popularily known as Sardar ji's
Have borne pain with magical ease
"As is God,so is the Guru and as is the Guru so must be a Sikh"
Iron bangles in our wrists
Wooden combs under our turbans
Owning unshorn hair
Even in unimaginable conditions did dare.
Guru Gobind's brave hearts,honourable men
Experienced warriors,drilled in valour
Bathed in Waheguru's grace
Cladded in Sikhly robes
Against tyranny,the only hopes.
His Excellency Guru Gobind Singh
Humble he was;humility he preached
Against casteism he was;equality he preached
Apostle of Equality,Justice,he was
Incarnation of freedom,revolution he was
Life according to the Sikh Rehat Maryada he pleaded of course.
Ever Nishan sahib will keep flying high
Even in the world wars Sikhs did die.
Ample callow Sikhs massacred
Panjpyare,Sahibzade
Many others of Sikh mothers
Gorgeous Dastaars,perfect outlook,full beards.
Members of the Guru's Fauja,His Sangat,Gurudwara,His presence
Sikh's have Guru's loves essence.
Bhagat Singh,the apostle of revolution
Father of this nation he ought to be
Though independent India he did not see.
Shahbeg singh,the unsurmountable,ultimate
Against Pakistan 1971 war he did lead
Attaining matyrdom he did succeed
Deep Singh,immemorable,evergreen
His valour the world has seen
Gur.Arjan,burnt alive
Tegh Bahadar,beheaded
Gobind Singh,stabbed
Deep Singh,decapitated
Mani Singh,cut limb by limb
Innumerable Sikhs,inhumanly slain
Inflicted with immense pain.
May the entire world be blessed
In turbans Sikhs are dressed
Emperors who imparted justice
Harbingers of peace,harmony,revolution
Sikhs gifted India rejuvenation.
Death they feared not
Victory is what they sought.
Bole So Nihal-Sat Sri Akal, our battle cry
In eradicating tyranny innumerable Sikhs did die.
Their deeds emmited dazzling radiance
As intangible rocks the stood in defiance
Sikhism is courage,honour and truth
Where we are taught how to seek the right
Struggle,conquer in life's great fight.
Forcible conversion to Islam was the trend
Death Sikhs did award to injust to curb and end
Indian belief Sikhs did reform,mend.
Darbar Sahib,Amritsar,extremely magnificient
Oceans of Dastaars,beards and Gurbani
The celestial golden radiance,immemorable
Enchanted by it's beauty
Hypnotized by the sight
Thou shall be compelled to say"This place is right"
Gurfateh!Victory to the Guru
Khalsa the Guru organized
His army's feats of strength against tyranny he exercised.
Since they've evolved,300 times the Earth has revolved
With extensive caliber
Unaccountable feats of strength
Born gutsy,utmost valiant.
Deeds enthusiastic,utterly jubliant.
Unjustly sever were the days
Death was noticed even in the dazzling Sun's rays
Mughals Khalsa did brave,India's dignity did they save
Independence Sikhs did crave.
Patna Sahib,Gobind Singh was born
Whom the world does adorn
Born a king,Even he did Waheguru's hymns sing
India they energised
Exceptionally on the villians clout they exercised
Revolted against wickedness
With peace this nation did they harness
Overcome did they ample stumbling blocks
Injustice confront like unshakable rocks.
Descendants of Tegh Bahadar
Known as 'Hind Ki Chadar'
Of the Panth-Gobind is the father
Their valour knew no bounds
Patriotism was limitless
Even the hostile, injured soldiers did they caress, redress
Standing out for their distinctive appearence, marvellous humour
Unaccountable valour,Their assertiveness,energy undiminished
Savage persecutions Khalsa extinguished.
Experienced Khalsa faced all
Invasions and Inquisitions
Triumphs accompanied by tragidies
Piety along with sense of divine purpose
Devotion,also depravities
Loyalties and betrayals
Courage,convictions,confronted eliminations.
Sikhism,basic compassion of Hinduism
Essential brotherhood of Islam
Incurred absurdities,encouraged equality
Enforced peace,Insisted reformation,caused amendation.

khushwant singh in his book " History of the sikhs volume-1" pg 50-51 mentions 3 wives of guru hargobind ji (damodari, nanaki and marwahi) and three wives of guru gobind singh ji ( sundari, jito and sahib devan)....and that sahibzada ajit singh was born to sundari, and sahibzadas jujhar singh, zorawar singh and fateh singh were born to jito.
P raghunath rai also mentions the same in his book "history of punjab vol-2"...and his book is the prescribed text for the degree courses of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar !!.....how do i know that? well i did my degree from this uni and read his books ! apalling !
How can some people say that the gurus did not have more than one wife when the universities of punjab say they did?? If the gurus having more than one wife is wrong wouldnt AKAL TAKHT have opposed it???where is the ruling by the akal takht on this matter??
I cannot digest the fact that the gurus had more than one wife.....i dont want to beleive its true just like a few others in here,,but the history says otherwise........and it is accepted in punjab ,,the birth place of sikhism!! i wonder why no one debates to wat is being taught in the unis....and by doing so we are accepting that the gurus had more than one wife......forget about debating no one even says that its a controversial and unsettled matter....how can one include that in the curriculum?
am gonna go the local gurdwara today and argue about this cause they have put an article on the notice board which mentions multiple wives of the gurus!!!! i want the source.......ill post watever feedback i get

I got this poem in my email.............
The Bully
By Harjit Singh Lakhan
Racist ruffian, low-down scum
Foul mouthed thug do you think its fun
To beet up a kid who's half your size?
Knock his turban and punch his eyes
He gets good grades and it makes you sick
turban-head's clever and you're so thick.
You push and punch and steal his lunch
You swing your fist his nose goes crunch
Bleeding Paki! Bloody Paki!
Swear a lot then steal his money
Grab his arms - push him to the wall
Punch! Crunch! He takes the fall
Kick! Spit! Watch him crawl
Walk away from his crying call.
Lessons start at the school from hell
Classroom's more like a prison cell
Sitting in his blood stained clothes
Tears in his eyes and a busted nose
Bully boys don't stop their taunting
No teacher saw his daily haunting
No teacher said you're a lion Singh
Be BRAVE, be STRONG but never give in
School bell rings:"Bye-Bye friends I ain't coming to hell again!"
Running home as fast as he can
No one knows his secret plan
Up the stairs for freedom call
He escapes from his body walls
Free at last from the violence
Hangs himself in deathly silence.
Where he ends we begin
Bullies won't kill another Singh
Unite as CHILDREN make the change
Don't let things stay the same
We want freedom - no more crime
We want freedom all the time
No more Singhs will die this way
Unite as CHILDREN - fight them today!
CHILDREN UNITE
IT'S TIME TO FIGHT
THE BULLY BOYS
THE RACIST NOISE
DON'T LIVE IN DREAD
TELL THE TEACHER INSTEAD
YOU'RE NOT ALONE
LET YOUR TROUBLES BE KNOWN
Dedicated to Vijay Singh, aged 13,
who hung himself at home in Manchester, after being bullied at school
"Jin ke Chit Kathor hai, oh bahe na Satgur paas"
"Sachiar Sikh Bethe Satgur paas"
Why did Guru Gobind Singh have more than one wife?

Polygamy or polyandry was a part of the punjabi culture a few hundred years ago and not of sikhism, sikhism doenst impose polygamy or polyandry on anyone but it expects its followers to do the right thing and which would be marrying only once,, (exception to the rule: widow re-marriage and divorce)....multiple marriages will defy one of the fundamental teachings of sikhism i.e; "Equality* .......
