  2. Hmmm......

Lots of picture we took at the Shaheedi Jorh Mela. More than 300. I am not sure yet, but I think I should add atleast 100 pictures on my site.

I added Kaurs In Nagar Keertan subsection on my site (http://www.amritworld.com/gallery/kaurs_in_nagarkeertan.html). Now, during the Shaheedi Jorh Mela, we have taken many more pictures of Sikh mothers/sisters taking part in Nagar Keertan. We have more pictures of Sikh girls playing Gatka. I am now confused in which subsection should I put these pictures of Sikh women.

As we all know, the Shaheedi Jorh Mela of Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Ji is a special festival for Sikh children. Little brothers and sisters of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji take part in Nagar Keertan with full 'Shaan-o-Shaukat'. I still remember those days, when my late mother and father used to take me to the Jorh Mela when I was a little child. Now both of them have left for their eternal home, I still find myself walking in the Nagar Keertan Procession with my late mother and father singing 'Maayee, Main Keh Bidh Lakhaun Gosaanyee'. Every small child taking part in the Nagar Keertan reflects myself, I feel. It is not any other child, but I myself is taking part in the Nagar Keertan procession. So, it is so natural that I asked my team to take more and more pictures of beautiful Sikh children. Every Sikh child is beautiful.

When you see these Sikh children, you cannot stop yourselves remembering Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji. It was amazing to see these beautiful Sikh children marching in the procession. It was wonderful to talk to them. It was lovely to touch them.

I am watching the pictures of these children. They are smiling. They are shouting 'Jaikaras'. They are eating 'Prasaad'. They are playing 'Gatka'. I am 'Balehaari' to see these children. I am watching the movie I made. So beautiful children. I cannot stop myself to love them. Balehaari Ji Balehaari.

  3. The name of book written by Bhag Singh Ambala is 'Dasam Granth Nirnai' and the book written by Bhai Sahib Harbans Singh Ji is 'Dasam Granth Darpan'.

Bhai Sahib Harbans Singh Ji lives in Patiala. I will PM you his mail address when I get. I cannot say where you can get this book from, if you are out of India. If you are in Punjab, you can get it from Patiala or Amritsar Sahib.

I have this book in my personal collection. If anyone is doing research on this topic, he must read it. If anyone living in and around Chandigarh is doing so, I would like to help him by providing required information.

  4. Bhratrahari (Bharthari) written 100 salokas on Vairaag. This collection is called 'Vairagya Shatak'. He also wrote 200 other salokas. All these 300 slokas are available in a single volume.

I have quoted Bhratrahari in one of my Punjabi articles in 'Rahatnama Bhai Chaupa Singh - Ik Adhiyain'. :)

These salokas are in pure Sanskrit. These are translated into Braj too.

Where can i get this book?

    In my personal collection. :D

  5. Gandhi enjoyed his life a lot. He went to jail because he himself wanted to. I think his death was not terrible. He was going to 'Praarthna Sabha' (religious gathering). The Name of the God was on his lips when he took his last breath, 'Hey Raam'. These words are written on his 'Samaadhi' in Delhi. In his last moments, he said, "Do not punish him (the killer, Nathu Ram)". He forgave his killer. He then said 'Hey Raam' and died. I believe Gandhi had an easy death.

Even presidents of US were shot dead. Akali Phoola Singh was shot dead.

Well, Gandhi was killed by a Brahman, Pandit Nathu Ram Godse. His brother, Gopal Godse died last week. His book 'Gandhi Vadh Kiyon?' (Why Gandhi was killed?) is a great read. :) . I think Vijaydeep Singh Ji has read the book. :) Also, I have 'Gandhi Benakaab' by Hansraj Rahbar in my personal collection. The RSS, which was banned after the murder of Gandhi, had mainly Brahman Chiefs (Only one Rajput Rajju Bhayaa became RSS Chief. All other Chiefs, including present one, were Brahman). :)

Another Brahman 'Kamal Hasan' has made a great movie 'Hey Raam', :D it shows last moments of Gandhi.

  6. Guru ki maseet was bulit by Guru so that Muslims should pray and be near to Guru and Guru did convert Mata Kaula Ji and Bhai Adam Ji(Brother Amritpal Singh Ji can guide more).

Guru Ki Maseet, as we all know, was built by Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji for Muslims. I think there is no link between Mata Kaula Ji and this Masjid. Gurdwara Kaulsar is built in her memory.

Guru Ki Maseet was a Maseet till 1947. Nihangs then made it Gurdwara. Now it is again a masjid though Khalsa flag is still there with consent of Muslims.

you need to know that not onela at Gurudwara at Lahore but Sisganj Sahib and Rakab Ganj Saheeb in Delhi are bukit on Mosques.

Yes, there was a mosque where Gurdwara Sees Ganj Sahib Ji is now situated. I do not know if it is true in case of Rakab Ganj Sahib. I think there was no mosque here, but not sure.

Das read old terminology of Nihungs perhaps S Hoti Mardan Sahib books.

There was type of Gurudwara called Masatgarh built by doing Prakash of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in mosque(books name is Nawab Kapur singh perhaps)

There were lots of such Gurdwaras in Punjab and Haryana. They were mosques till 1947. Then they became Gurdwaras. Such Gurdwaras are called 'Mastgarh'. A few Mastgarhs still exist in Punjab and Haryana.

  7. :D

Why should people wait for your study?

Dear 'Malwe Da Sher' Ji, I do not say why people should wait for my study, but I believe people now cannot avoid reading my study. Even you will be reading my pages, when our 'Nihangs' section is updated. :)

You are not the only one, who is making comments on my work. I have been recieving lots of emails. I will be addressing to all the points raised by people in this very forum and on this page: http://www.amritworld.com/your_comments.html .

I have not addressed rest of your points. Because I think you need more time to calm down. :) . See, I have not replied to brother Balpreet Singh Ji's comments on my study. It does not mean I have ignored them. I am just waiting if he would like to make changes in his post. :D . Well, I will surely address your points in this thread. :D

Well, the main issue was a statement, which says that a few Nihangs expressed their desire to give protection to Monica Bedi. I believe that it was a wrong decision. Now, dear 'Malwe Da Sher' Ji, read this news item, which will help you to understand that Amrit Pal Singh 'Amrit' was absolutely right: -

Nihangs not to provide security for Monica Bedi

    EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

    HOSHIARPUR, DECEMBER 7

PUTTING to rest all speculation that Nihangs will provide security to Monica Bedi, Baba Nagar Singh, acting Jathedar of Gurdwara Harian Belan, today declared that the Nihangs had no intention of doing so.

Addressing mediapersons at Sikri village here, he said representatives of all Nihang bodies had met and taken serious note of media reports.

He said, "We are a religious body and are nationalists. We cannot support persons allegedly involved in anti-national and anti-social activities."

He said let the CBI, police and the courts do their work and the Nihangs have nothing to do with this case or with Monica Bedi.

(The Indian Express, Chandigarh, Thursday, December 8, 2005)

  8. Das thinks that another danger what brother said is from Bhaniari Wallah.

There are demands to make changes in original religious texts. Vishv Hindu Prishad is agree to do so. Only one Shankaracharya has opposed such modifications. Sikhs too have been suggested to make changes.

All this will creat lots of confusion. I feel that even RSS is weak before this danger. There are Sikh groups, who demand removal of a particular hymn in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. There can be more and more objections on other hymns in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. I see danger coming towards old Indian texts.

Das just wanted to know about the second Valmiki which present day so called lower castes revere.

Unfortunately, we have not enough information on second Valimiki. When a particular community accepted the first Valimiki Ji as the their 'Bhagwan', they forgot other one.

Thier main work has been to take human filth on thier head. But in old Sanatan Dhram the stool etc is to be excretedin open and not in house but in Muslims there could be lavortory in house.

Yes, we do not find any reference to such a community in old texts.

As per RSS ideolgy these Valmikis were those Rajputs who refused to surrender to turks so they were forced into menial task.Thier Gotras are also similar. And relation to Valmiki is more a hoax.

Das would like the comments from Brother Amritpal Singh Ji.

It is hard to believe that Valimikis have origin in Rajputs. I am not sure, but it seems Valmlikis were present in India even before Turks came here. There were Rajputs, who never surrendered to Moguls, but they never 'became' Valimiki (doing their jobs). We have great Rajput warriors in guru-history. Bhai Bachitra Singh Ji, Bhai Udai Singh Ji etc were Rajputs. At the same time, there was Bhai Jeevan Singh, who was a 'Valimiki' (Ranghreta) by caste-background. Here we can see clear difference between Rajputs and Valimikis.

In Punjab, Valimikis and Jatts have common Gotras. For example, Sandhu, Sidhu, Virk, Gill, Dhaliwal etc.

    In Panth

They ie so called lower caste also bring thier own caste person as thier speacial one to be worshipped while getting converted and that is the main hinderance for thier assimalation into Panth.Like Valmiki Ji,Sant Ravidas(Which they call Guru for Jatvas),Durbal Nath Ji(for Khatiks), So on and so forth. If they leave worshipping human who they claim to be thier blood realtion and worship Akal whose blood is in body of all then only it is OK.

I accept Maharishi Valimiki Ji as a great poet and Rishi. But, I think we should not worship him like God. We should respect humble soul Maharishi Valimiki Ji for his great work.
