you're right kaur ji, we shouldn't b swearing.
but it also depends on the way we hav been brought up - i know that some of my mates swear a lot - but that's what their house is like..u know, parents etc.
i talk outa experience..be careful when and where u swear..people can get *really* offended, even if no offence was intended.
-
what about all the places in gurbani that talk about the Jumdhoots (death's servants) ?
are they not spossed to beat u up if u haven't remembered Vaheguru Ji?
-
they do have an effect on people, yeh penji, but it shouldn't matter what colour we wear - they should seem 2 be the same.
-

hey jagz penji - i know what you're talkin about, i went to Bradford for a rensabai last month, and around the streets it was swarmin with muslims - but not all of them are bad
stick to da sangat, as far as i saw most of the people in the gurudwarae were pretty gursikhi-lyk. 8)
btw: some of the youth there do awesome kirtan!!!!! ur lucky, my place isn't half as good as bradford. though we're gettin there.

hmmmm...well i am not sure an ordinary gurudwara...,but as far as i think, you have to remove your socks when entering darbar sahib, because you have to wash your feet, in that little pool thing..and i don't think any common sensed person would want to get there socks wet...!! ..so i think you enter darbar sahib bare foot.
lol - my gurudwara doesn't have "that little pool thing" , but i understand anyway.
-
don't worry guys and guyesses - i'm mistaken for a boy 24-7. even when looked at it the face

good point, A Kaur penji
-
take note that this 'sitting seperate system' is generally chucked out the window when it comes to rainsbai programmes.
ur right - i've noticed this a lot.
but no-one makes a big brouhaha about it
( u know brouhaha is actually a real word, we came across it in class )
and there are loads of gurudwaras that totally ignore this men-and-women-sit-on-separate-sides thing.
-
mm..good problem solver aren't you Khalsa Soulja?
hey - darshan penji you look Awesome in a keski!!
STICK TO DA SIKHI!!
( and if worst comes to worst, follow khalsa soulja ji's advice.)
-
i agree wid khalsa soulja -
we're all already sorted
-
awesome post K4ur!! i agree with u 100%
i been brought in Sikh family, but recently i've gotten to know how important sikhi really is.
when you see those mashed up people at high school and think :
" i could've been doing that "
now instead of thinkin :
"i wish i woz them"
i think :
" bhai re, they're wastin their lives real bad"
after a while we DONT WANNA do the stuff that's prohibited in sikhi - hey you're totally on the right track, ajiboom ji.
An Act of Kindness....
