  1. i can't vote...........i listen and like all of those in the list there should be a choice titled all of the above....then i would vote

sometimes in life u need to make choice, despite of ur fav option missing... Try consider this is one of those situations.. i m sure you will be able to make a decision instead of excuse ;)

  2. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Anyone who know if it's allowed to donate blood when you are a Sikh.. what does Sikhism say about it?

I m sorry, i m not "learned" enough to say anything on behalf of religion.. but personally, i admire this act.. and request you to go ahead.if got a chance ...its a noble work..

  3. You peeps on a serious note, gimme a hand with this one.

My friend works as a property developer in the City and is doing really well. The thing is he tells me he has to lie alot in his job in order to be succesful as a businessman.

For instance, say there is a plot of land for sale for £1million and there are 3 potential buyers. 2 of them may be his competitors, they would ask him(unofficially) if he is interested in buying, he would say no.

Then the other two would strike a deal on the land(ie ill take this for £850 k you can have £50k cash, if you dont out bid me). Then at the bidding time one would bid £850k, but my friend would go against his word and outbid him and pick up the land for say 900k(100k less than asking price)

He says that 'that is the way the property business works', you need to be 'sly' to get far.........

So the big question is it 'ok' for a Sikh to be a 'competitve businessman'?

Lets face it top businessmen - tend to be top 'schemers' aswell.

    Forum ?

"Her Kisi ko mukmel jaha nahi milta,

Kisi ko jamee tou kisi ko asma nahi milta"

It's Life.. he should decide.. whats his priority.. though, its an excuse that one has to tell lie to do business.. but there is no point on discussing on that.. so.. he should decide.. whats the priority.. telling lie is bad, its for sure...

  5. Actually, the problem is that Indian people especially Punjabi people love to get exploited because it’s in their blood. You tell Punjabi people that everything is ok with you but they won't trust you and on the other hand you create doubts in their mind and they will give you thousands of dollars. This is the reason that fake "jyotishi" or astrologers use them. Most of the time people want to get exploited because they don't want to see the truth. Astrology is prediction and most of the astrologers agree that it cannot be 100% correct same as other sciences.

Most of the Sikhs throw it under "Brahmanism" ( The ones grew up in western countries) when on the other hand there is western astrology exist worldwide, which has no connection with India’s Vedic astrology. Go tell any western astrologer that he is following Brahmanism and see his face impressions because he won't even have any idea what you are talking about.

The problem is that there are so many crooks exist in India the ones don’t learn astrology properly but learn only tidbits and then exploit innocent people. I think ratio of fake astrologers is higher than the ones carry any real knowledge and that’s what creates problems. Also, old myth that every astrologer is Brahman cannot be true anymore. Most of the dominated astrologers these days come from varieties of castes (khatri Hindu/Sikh, Rajputs, Hindu Bania community, Jatt Sikhs. You should always remember that meditation with true intention has biggest power but we cannot deny the fact that there are arts such as astrology does exist but real astrologers are hard to find these days.

Here are few books and read reviews. Most of the reviews come from western people not from Indians.
