  1. Waheguru ji ka khalsa - waheguru ji ki fateh

the khalsa belongs to god - all victory belongs to god

    have we forgotten about 1984.

    well get up and rmmember.

have we forgotten about the people who died in the 1984 november dehli riots

    well remember

khalistan isnt going to be made by us sitting here so lets do somthing about it

gotta go but remember khalistan zindabad raj kere ga khalsa

    THE FLAME IS STILL ALIVE

Chodo kal ki baatein, Kal ki baat purani

naye Daur mein likhenge, Mil ker nayi kahani

If u want to remember 84's saheeds... First remember Bhagat Singh, Lala Lajpet Roy, Chadershekher Azad, subhash chader bose, Sukhdev, Raj guru, khudi ram bose, Ashfaqulla Khan and 100s of other freedom fighters. to whome we owe much much more!!!! Huh!!!

  2. I think Gurpreet Kaur was referring to her Sikh bros and Sisters on this forum. Unless you know of any non-Sikhs on this forum then please let us know. As far as I know no one has actually declared themselves to be non-Sikhs, at least not the ones helped Gurpreet Kaur :)

lol!!! I was just kidding dost. anyway, all i meant though, was that there are more than 700+ users on this site .. and not all post.. some just read.. May be..... nahi kya? Thnaks them too!!!

and Mr. Singh's .. it was certainly not the wrong quote at wrong time .. it was just right.. and for sure.. u r not stupid.. You are Great!!!

  3. to be blunt....sardu ur talkin out <admin-cut>

    .. lol!! koi nah..

I agree with Jassa Bhaji. I don't like the attitude of Sikhs in India when they claim 'ownership' to Sikhi and exclude everyone else. Grow up

'Manas ki jaat sabhey ek pehchaan bo'<----Hello?!

    Gurfateh

Exclude eveyone elase?? .. Now what should i say on this my friend. You are Intelligent.. ur posts have reflected that. Still.. u r saying/thinking like that. Where did u notice this? Did my post say so at any point of time.. No body "owns" sikhi.. no body can... and who anyone is to exlcude someone from sikhi?? And Mate, if u think that only by saying anyone can/will become good or bad sikh.. Here i say.. You people are the best Sikhs ever.... All of you....including them who support "Hate" between religions.. Every one of you.. you are the owner.. I am only a "Sewek" and I am pretty happy... Ownership.. Huh??? Before i proceed.. Let me "Re-post" my own post(s)..

    Bro/Sis.

If they are not Indian.. how can they be Punjabis :? !! Sikh religion was born in india.. so it belongs to India.. all gurus belongs to india.. every gurusikh "should" one way or other belongs to India.. our roots are in India.. and so on and so forth!! :)

Obiviously.... Pakistan/bangladesh are included. No doubt!!:D.

.In my post i just said.. That punjabis are who lives in Punjab and Punjab is in India.. and hence there exist a term called "NRI Sikhs".. Now Where was i wrong?? :? .. Please give a logical answer... Please.!!! it was metter of where did sikhi originally belongs to.. not the ownership part.. and i agree with ideal.. Its everywhere....

    And yes.. Thanks!! :D

  4. Even today…rarely is thank you used in India …the thing is ..even “Thanwad†isn’t even used…

Although, I think there isn’t a day that passes that an individual doesn’t say “Thank You†..in Western Land… …It has become a part of our every day lives…whether its grocery shopping, talking to someone, ordering food, to fueling your car……

    !

Kya yaar.. Isme India kaha se beech mein aa gaya...!! Where and When did u observe this?? :?

  5. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

I have had a bad experience also. A Muslim tried to force Islaam onto me, pretending to be doing this as part of what 'good friends' do to help out mates, some of you may remember me mentioning this in another post.

I did get very close to him, and I was at one point tempted to look into Islaam with the intention of converting. I'm not trying to make excuses, but I had a lot of problems at home, and these people can sense when someone is emotionally vulnerable and use that to exploit people. Also, my knowledge of Sikhi was not good and it was only after researching that I found out what I was about to lose.

Luckily, Vaheguru saved me through the help of a good friend who put me back on track and I'm so grateful to him. I recently took Amrit and when I think back to that time in Uni, I realise how close I was to ruining my life. Ironically it took a fanatical Muslim to change me for the better

I just feel when someone is trying just that extra bit hard to shove religion down your throat it's usually because that person is insecure about their faith themselves. I have had this experience with some Hindu colleagues at work too. They just think all Sikhs are Hindu's inside because we believe in reincarnation too

    Gurfateh

Nice. I respect and admire. This line is classic.

Ironically it took a fanatical Muslim to change me for the better

On to ur question IDEAL. didn't have any of this sort of experience.

  6. Why is it that when you believe so much in God,you get hurt. When something good happens,we thank and pray to God,basically,we remember him then. But when something bad happens,we turn our backs on him, stop believing in him, just give up. Its sad,but its what really happens, not just to me,I know I'm not the only one who does this. So if we know its not good, why do we do it? I feel guilty but I don't do anything about it. It amazes me how at one point in my life I was so religious and suddenly something happens and I've gone quite the opposite. I've been saying to myself I should get back to doing Japji Sahib paath for awhile now but I just think well God knows when I'm thinking about him anyways and what's the use even. Sounds harsh doesn't it? I see some people doing paath, and it looks so fake, they do paath but their mind is focused else where so that just puts me off as well. Other people I seen do so much paath and their life goes completely upside down. I find it funny how that works out. I know there is a God,at least for me,and I know what's right and wrong. I don't really have a point here but I had that on my mind for awhile. I guess if your not going to believe in God,who else or what else can you believe in right but at the same time believing in God,you pray so much and your so loyal and then you get hurt, you think why did this happen to me,what did I do.

My apologises to anyone who might be against what I've written, don't get defensive or anything,I'm just writing my thoughts. I do believe in God,but just curious as to why we do the things we do,in this case, get angry at God when things don't go our way. Anyone else who does this?

wow.. how genuine and true!! at this point i can/should only say this much!!

  7. Why is caste such a big deal?? Your allowed to be friends with different kinds of people yet your not allowed to marry someone from another religion let alone marrying a sikh but which isn't of the same caste.

I've never fallen in love, finally its happened to me,and I want to spend the rest of my life with this person but caste is a problem. My mom is okay with this guy,she really likes him,and my sisters like him too which is important to me...dad doesn't know but I'm too afraid to even tell him because I know for a fact that he won't agree. I've always obeyed my parents, their trust is the most important thing to me,they always tell people how lucky they are to have me as their daughter, and that I'd never do anything to hurt them, but now I'm stuck between the guy I love and my dad...I can't live without either. I been trying to come up with reasons why my dad should agree but I don't know what to say. And what should I do if my dad still says no??

    Let me begin with this...

Yeah ishq nahi aasaan, bas itna samjh lije

ek aag ka dariya hai aur, dooob ke jana hai..

I hope u understand the meaning of this. if not, let me know, i will try to explain.

and dost, Don't worry. be confident. If u believe that u have choosen the right guy, believe me ur parents would only want ur happiness more than anything else. I am fully agree with magermach here.. and would have said the same... ITs all about how well u manage... ur parents are precious.. they are equivilant to GOD for u.... and than there is ur life.. And GOD always help..... but he/she do take Tests.. This hard time is actually a test for u both.. Situation of these kind test u and ur feelings/devotion... its the time where u can understand each other well. ( more well ). So Make the best use of this situation too.. and just don't worry.. Be confident.. Be Papa/daddy ki acchi bacchi.. our wishes are with you... You will the happiness of your life... !!

    A Friend.!

  8. Well, in my perception the simple reason is lack of Surprise Element... these numbered fundamentalist groups are fully aware that as soon as they utter a bitter word against our religion, we would get irritated and start creating nuisanse...

Simple Remedy, Arrae Baee !! Let them bark freely (their freedom of expression...) coz thatz their main characteristic... Why should we adapt to this character... But should be fully awake to the reality and ready in case of physically challenged....

Yooo!!! Absolutely Correct!! and I agree.

  9. Clear & Loud observationz, dear Sardu... really appreciate it... would like to stress more on your one very important point i.e. till we are actually phisically harmed by them...

Let us take an example of An Elephant... Ever heard about the nature of an Elephant... He would roam about in a Jungle peacefully, while rest of animalz like dogz etc would keep on shouting and barking at the size and strature of that Elephant... but He would continue to stroll peacfully and he is least bothered about all this shouting going on until and unless he is physically endangered... his very existance is at stake... So when an Elephant strikes back even the most powerfull animalz are dumb founded... awe struck... running for their skinz... the surprise element...

Likewise should be image or stature of Sikhz... breed the pshyche of am an Elephant... Let everybody shout and bark until and unless we are physically challenged... like our scripturez are not manuplated... or they are not misinterprated to the next generation... Raise your voice when utterly needed otherwise you will only join the company of those barking animalz, of which the Elephant is least bothered...

You would remember that some 2-3 years ago, some fundamentalistz tried to enforce the recitation of Gaytari Manter in Gurudwaraz... Now that was a danger to the very existance of Sikhism... and a physical challenge... and you would also remember fully about the size and stature of that united agitation by Sikhz that lead to the running of such animalz for their skinz... Now thatz what I call a fight for a cauze... Rest is simple Jokerism !!

    BCM

Thanks for ur words Ideal . and I understand ur point. And agree too!! But the fact is that.. what is number/percent of these fundamentist fools.. and how/why they came? previously, there were no such issues??? We should and we would certainly oppose such things.. but there is lots of things which needs to be taken care of within ourselves.. sometime i feel ashemed on the politics in punjab.. on the name of religion.. This is not we are known for..

  10. JJJ

So that's two people who you have reformed ( sudhar keeta ).

reformed!! lol!!! There was one way Guru Nanak has adopted 5-600 yrs ago and there is this one according to u.. i am amazed to notice the difference...

Unfortunately you'll always get wishy washy Sikhs here who are probably to scared to stand up against insults to Sikhi themselves so they try and give you the same advice.

No comments. you all are like my brother/friends to me.

What these people don't understand is that sometimes you need to crack a few heads to make these people realise that Sikhs aren't the same jokers in real life as the one's portrayed by bollywood.

Its individual's vision. I feel proud when i see movies like border and others in which whenever there is a need to show a faithful, patriotic, royal role director choose a "Sardar" to represent it. Few days back, i was seeing this movie.. Zameen.. where they shown a scene of hijacking a plane .. In that incident Director showed that 3 passenegers were killed by terrorists.. only one of them killed while "Fighting" with terroist.. that charcter was a Sardar!! I feel pitty for those who only notice "Fun" characters played by sardar.. not the one where they are shown as Brave and Loyal. Its movie world bro, If u have not noticed a joker charcter carrying a hindu or muslim or other name... its ur fault.. you will only notice the things u r searching for... Why curse everybody... Come to India. Come to my place.. i will show you so many sikhs actually indulge in illigeal activities just for the money. tommorrow if they show it on screen, you will make hell out of it. huh!!

Even a decade ago these Hindu and Muslim jokers would never have tried to make fun of Sikhi but bollywood has brain washed them into thinking that Sikhs will take any insult. You gave that guy a much needed reality check !

Next time when u happen to "Visit" India for "Few days", come over here. I may show u some reality. You can't realize.. The persons u r entitled as jokers are our friend, our teachers, our giude, our brothers.. we share joy with each other, we share our sorrow... When share our festivals, we share jokes... we fight with each other.. we live with each other. I understand it is hard for u people to realize it... Just take the experience of JJJ as an example.. people living outside can't grasp this .. how can a hindu and a sikh and a muslim can live together?? Certainly, that sikh has gone corrupt.. huh.

Like I wrote before, I'm proud of you man. If only there were more Sikhs like you. I'd much rather have one Sikh like you or Khalsa Soulja or Steel bangle on my side in a fight than a hundred Sardus and Ideal Singhs.

Waah vere !! very good. now u have created some "Sides" also.

Fight Fight and Fight.. life is more than a Fight. This is India boss.. you can't imagine a life without harmony, love and feeling of respect among different religion. Its not a place where , even after living for 100 years, sikhs have to advertise their indentity, They have to prove they are different from osama..

  11. Simply Classic Ideal !! Very well said indeed. I can just hope that all our friends here will see it, uderstand it.

Idont support beating/fighting, but I can tell you sure that guy is never gonna make an insult against sikhi to any other sikh in his life or is he ever gonna try to catch someone's beard.

In the past also one guy was making fun of the "fateh bola" and I scolded and fought with hm so much, not beating thoug.. but i can tell that he is never gonna make fun of sikhs again in his entire life !

lol !! I appriciate and respect ur emotions mate. But, I have something to say. Why we love the Almighty.. Why do I love/appriciate Gurus and Their Teachings... Am i scared? Did they beat me? Did theay beat/threaten anybody? NO na!! Just like this, There are 2 ways to make somebody respect/appriciate you (or ur faith). Threatening .. The "Aurangzeb's way" and love (talking) the other way. Threatening is very effective and fast.. but.. can we justify it? is it real? certainly not bhai. and then there is another way of love, talking etc.. Which is hard to implement.. and require lots of patience etc, but the effect is pure, longlasting and admirable. There are many persons whome u can't handle by love, just ignore them, till they actually phisically harm you. I know.. we all understand this very well. but,why am i saying all this here.... Well.. You are right that they may never say bad about sikhi "in front of you".. but were u able to change them? were u able to give them the right message? r u confident that they won't speak bad abt u and ur religion on ur back? Just imagine that if u were at his place... what would have been ur mentality after being beaten up? They are also human being.. they have also got "EGO"... Veere, Sikhs are known to be great warrior in the history who sacrificed their life for the GOOD of Humanity..

Whenever u face such people, try to talk to them. Teach them.. I am sure these persons are not more than 1% of toal no of person u met or deal with. And When u talk to them, most of them will understand. But yes, still There will be few uneducated, mischievous people.. ignore them.. as much as possible. or till the time they harm u phsically...

    With Regards

    Sardu!

  12. I am proud of my Team and their Team-Spirit... keep it up dosotoo......

Team dedicates Asia Cup to Jugraj

    September 29, 2003 19:34 IST

The victorious Indian hockey team on Monday dedicated the Asia Cup to penalty-corner specialist Jugraj Singh, who is recovering from multiple fractures at a hospital in New Delhi.

Indian Hockey Federation secretary K Jothikumaran told reporters in Chennai that "the victorious team members have dedicated the Cup to Jugraj Singh".

"We are going to meet him along with Federation president K P S Gill and other officials tomorrow morning with the Cup. We are grateful to the young boy for inspiring our players every day including yesterday, before we took to the final match against Pakistan. We all pray for his quick recovery and return to the hockey field at the earliest," Jothikumaran said.

"We missed Jugraj Singh. He always used to be a motivator and a good defender. We mainly missed him for his superb drag flicks," coach Rajinder Singh said.

Mercurial forward and team captain Dhanraj Pillay is also looking forward to meeting Jugraj. "All my players played this tournament for Jugraj. We are all going to see him tomorrow.

"Each and every member of the team decided to dedicate this Cup to him before we left for Malaysia. Jugraj wanted us to win all the matches and he was talking to us regularly.

"Yesterday also he spoke to all senior players and coaches. Really, we played our hearts out to win this Cup, so that Jugraj could be happy. We pray that he should be back on the field soon for our country," he said

  13. That make us 2 bachelor's in the bachelor department... gimme a five ??? 8)

you think you will survive... For me its gettin hard to stay bachelor already.. havent even started being offically bachelor yet...

lol!! Very Correct veer!!! I support this Love Thing..!!! Whoever it is for!

  14. Dont you think every Religion/Faith askz itz followerz to reach a IDEAL state of mind... Now, if the followers tend to deviate from the path defined, that would bring bad name to the Religion... I wonder, by bullying around, what kind of respect you are seeking or breeding for Sikhi...? A respect earned by Region of Terror... thatz of no use to anybody... In my perception, the 3rd rule of Newton... "that for every action their is an equal and oppsosite Reaction" should never be applied to any Religion... coz Hatred breedz Hatred... Rather "Mann Nivaan, Matt Uchee" should be the Motto of any follower of any Religion... coz Love breedz Love...

My perception may seem be too IDEAListic... but: Is there any other way around to breed Communal Harmony... ofcourse besides Buying a Island... (just kidding !)

    A Humble Thought

    BCM

Golden Words Mate. Golden Words!!

  15. Yea, I got real mad on the part when he touched my dhari. That was what drove me real mad and then after that he tried to put his hand on my jura.. which drove me so crazy that I waned to kill him then and there, I even had my kirpan, but I had full control over it and I knew that it was not the time to use the kirpan and I am glad for it. But I will not tolerate anyone who will try to spoil the Guru Ji type of image (Kesh and Dhari).

mate.. don't u think that.. u slapped him first... and harm him.. and than only, to protect himself or to retaliate. he done that act. Anyway, I appriciate your gesture afterwards and the fact that u r friend again... bro.. I rerquest you, I urge you.. not to listen/follow the advices of some friends here who justify the beating/fighting... They don't understand.. what does it mean. they don't realize the situation you are in... The situation in India is way way different..than the place they might be living in. They can't imagine the situation in which people of different religions live together in a house... and still they enjoy.. and of course they fight too... its just natural... You are absloutely right... When u are concern about controlling the anger... This will make you a better person... I am proud of you... I hope matter is solved between u and ur friend.. just have few words with him and.. be cool and happy!!!!

  16. I don't know what religion says about this. but this is a nobel cause and I whole heartdly back this up, admire this. I would defintely donate my organs. Since donation of organs was not possible in olden days.. that may be the reason that religion doesn't specify anything... otherwise .. i strongly believe that Sikhism would be the no 1 religion to support this. Sikhs are known for their sacrifices.... It is a tradition... I will Keep it up...

it would be cool to donate memories.

Classic.. I am ur Fan mate. You are simply excellent.

  17. actually it was a mistake, my third roommate who wanted to have fun came and told me that this guy called Gurudwara a bad place(i dont want to say what)... but later I came to know.. that He didnt ant it was a lie and he was basically joking with me and teling me to goto that place and was not relating it with the Gurudwara. I didnt listen and I beat him up, but this third roommate wanted to have the masala.. so he made us fight.

Well, I forgave the guy i beat and he forgave me too.. and we are back frieds.. but this guy who lied will get punished in the court of lord :D

also i am not going to raise my voice again if someone makes insulting commentso n Guru sahib or religion. Its not right, my conscience doesnt make me feel good after i get angry or i do something bad. we should just ask Guru sahib to bless them and give them some mat(gyan , knowledge of understanding)

Sukhasingh is wrong and he is only quoting sant jarnail singh in that, I think if I am right, but not sure

Thats it... Here we should learn .. Reacting without realizing/analyzing.. is no sense. I am prou of IDEAL SINGH... you were absoutely me ,mate. This is the root of problem.. Some C say to A that B has said something bad abut his religion.. (which B hasn't), But A is so emotional that.. he can't control the anger.. and do harm to B... in reverse B do the same to A. and This selfish C enjoys.. Who is this C.. what is his religion? Selfishness is his religion.... Thats it.. and rest of us like emotional fool fell pray... to these selfish Cs. Religion is not abouth fighting with each other... religion teaches you Love... Respect.. if you can't control your emotions, your anger.. how can you sever the almighty.. how can u accept his power??? Thanks a lot JJJ Veer.. for sharing your experience and wmotions with us.. and giving us a Chance to learn a great lesson of life... And veere .. Remeber that.... If somebody say bad words to you (or to ur religion) would not make you (or ur religion.. bad)... you are not that weak... Ignore them till the time they harm you physically.. Protacing yourself and the one who can't protact themselves is what Religion teaches us..

    Regards
