I never heard any Kabir Panthis in my real life in Punjab or in news recently. I read many references of Kabir Panthis in one of the books written by Gurcharan Singh Talib on genocide of non muslims during 1947. That's all I know.

Labels of high or low caste change with time. Jats were low cast in past. In Punjab, Brahmins are not high class anymore.

What is a "desi gaa"?

First it was desi cow. Then came vilayati or american cow. Another type I have seen cows with long light colored straight horns. Some kind of religious hindu sect (maybe shavite) have those while going door to door for begging.

While voting, what is more important? Local candidate OR national leader of that party. You may not like local leader, but your vote will affect national policy. Yes, Dosanjh is a sellout, but due to party policy he spoke in favor of right to wear Kirpan.

Things are not easy to decide. Spiritually, Sikhi is more closer to far left. But culturally, we are closer to conservatives. Do not vote if you like or do not like a guy. Vote, understanding that vote is shaping future course of the country.

I like NDP, but keeping Harper away from majority is more important. So i would vote for Liberals.

It is still a democracy. If dynasty is there, it came with democracy. People voted this dynasty in.

Corruption was always there. It is a good sign, it is coming out in open. Now India will do efforts to fix it. One of the ministers belonging to ruling coalition is in jail. Several other people belonging to ruling coalition are being accused and interrogated by police. Even one of main coalition partner's daughter is deeply in it. It never happened in India before.

If it happened, it was simply witch hunt by new govt against previous govt, nothing else.
