The second book will be in regards to the Maryada of Hazoor Sahib. I dont believe that book will be released as quick as you would like it, the next release is the Sri Harimandir Sahib book alongside the exhibition at the Brunei Gallery next month. For more info visit www.gt1588.com
So will the next release which is about Harmandir Sahib, contain the same format of pictures and info like number one had with Hazoor Sahib? Because I found that the first release was very comprehensive and well presented.

Its the old Divide and conquer tactic because a religion divided is no religion at all.

I totally agree. It's sung beautifully. Although it would be good to know where these shabads/ghazals/dharmic geets are written

So no one knows where these are written?

Hey Guys,
A friend sent me this track but I'm not sure where it's written and I was hoping you guys could help me. It's sung by Bhai Dharam Singh Zakhmi and Jatha.
'Aeh Sant Sipahee Dekhi Na Gayee'
Here is the actual link if the above link doesn't work - http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audio/keertan/Bhai_Dharam_Singh_Zakhmi/Bhai.Dharam.Singh.Zakhmi--Aeh.Sant.Sipahee.Dekhi.Na.Gayee.mp3
Also the track - 'Jo Disay Zameen Par So Hosi Fanahe' - sung by Sant Anoop Singh Ji. Do you guys know where that is written?
Appreciated if you could help

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has pictures or photos of Ragis or Kathakars from any age. Either from the present or from way back. The main ragis I'm interested in are:
Bhai Amul Singh (they performed Kirtan in the leicester area of the UK in the 70's and 80's)
Bhai Avtar Dilbagh Singh
Bhai Balkar Singh Multani
Bhai Bhagwant Singh
Bhai Chattar Singh
Bhai Devinder Singh (the puratan ragi not Bhai Devinder Singh Sodhi)
Bhai Gurdial Singh Rasia
Bhai Harjinder Singh (Faridkot Vale)
Bhai Jaswinder Singh (The one who sang 'Koi Bole Ram Ram' in the old skool Texla Vision ad's before the kirtan videos)
Bhai Kalyan Singh (Lucknow Vale)
Bhai Karnail Singh Dhiraj
Bhai Kulbir Singh (Takhsal Vale)
Bhai Piara Singh (the puratan one - famous for his rendition of 'Tu Hi Nisani Jeet Ki')
Bhai Rajinder Singh (the one who died fairly early in life, early 40's I think)
Bhai Sant Singh (old ragi, famous for singing slow yet traditional kirtan)
Bhai Sohan Singh Rasia
Bhai Surjeet Singh (Was known to do kirtan in the Derby area of the UK)
Thats pretty much it so far, Hope you can all help.

If you listen to the live Asa Di Vaar on www.beantpatshah.info, Master Darshan Singh is the one that usually does the Aardas at the end
-
I'm quite sure the Namdhari's have a newsletter of their own called 'Satjug' and one of the main people that do katha and read Bani is a 'Master Darshan Singh'.
I doubt it's the 'other' Darshan Singh as he is referred to as 'Prof' Darshan Singh.

Is it possible to get Chaubis Avtar in english?

Asu da Mela is a great event with regards to the performance of many types of traditional singing and poetry styles. Events like this ensure the preservation of artistic traditions for future generations.
There is unlikely to be much on the net, best thing to do is purchase the relevant Asu da mela DVD from one of the Namdhari on-line shops.
Vaaran is a specialised style of singing Asa di vaar - heavily rustic and very folk based. There is a difference between vaaran and vaar.
Could you recommend a site to purchase it from?

Oh dear, I didn't mean to create such a fuss, jus wanted to share what I've written about them. It wasn't supposed to offended. And 'jattboot', as a yuppie, trimmed, beer-swilling Sikh I can write one about you, if you want, that is.

Hello People,
A short time after this tragic incident took place, I wrote a poem on how I felt about these guys and their actions. I just I'd share with you guys.
It's called 'My Three Brothers', let me know what you think I.E, feedback.
My Three Brothers.
Three sons, three men, three kings, three last breaths,
Three mothers, three fathers, three brothers, three deaths,
The Almighty has taken back what he gave,
Under the condition that no one was allowed to save,
Accept the will and do not lament,
The hands they shook, laughs shared and happiness spent,
These three souls were born a different race,
Bravely they accepted fate and smiled Death in the face,
‘Brothers for life’, ‘immortal we shall stay’,
These were the words echoed on the Lake District bay,
When the authorities went below – they were shocked,
The three kings lay down smiling, all arms interlocked,
Thousands of tears, thousands of fears, from far and nears,
Had flowed to the Gurus Door with God’s name singing in their ears,
So, let nothing spiritually hinder,
The lives of Tajinder, Satbir and Harvinder.
Poem about the 3 Singhs that drowned Sept. 06
