  1. I'm sorry that is taking things too far and is just gross.

    Where are you from?

It doesn't matter if anyone else can taste it because your own senses are telling you there is something sweet in the mouth. That's enough for me.

Well I want to know whether this is indeed present in the saliva like the article says or whether it is "anhat" unstruck so to speak.

  2. The drips are definitely becoming more intense. Yesterday during simran this stuff was just falling down from the roof of the pallet. I think I have reached the stage where I just accept it and learn to enjoy it. Nothing much more one can do.

Bhagat Singh, I think we just have to draw the line what tests we can perform and post on here. Lol

Sat I think you are letting your imagination run too far with this lol.

I am just saying that the next time you get it, spit it into a kauli and get someone to taste it. Lucky you do the same.

That's the first thing I woulda done if I had this thing in my mouth.

just falling down from the roof of the pallet.

Lucky is your experience similar to Sat's?

The roof of pallet seems far away from Pineal gland tho...

  3. Why do you always say that Canadians this or Canadians that?
I find Canadian brothers' and sisters' comments to be detrimental to important efforts towards Sikhs strengthening themselves and preparing for unpleasantness which may be on the cards.

Lol I'm not even gona ask what you been hearing from Sikh brothers and sisters that put a dent in your efforts. I don't wana derail this thread any further.

Let's get back to discussing the video.

  4. I think if we take the source back to its routes they all go back it Waheguru for example

Take A chair , what is it made from ..( wood , nails, glue, screws, cloth etc..) , wheres the wood come from ( maybe a forest, tree) ... who cut the wood ( people) , where did the tree come from ? ( planted a seed ) , who planted the seed etc.. etc .... so if we go back to the source , i think it goes back to Waheguru so I think yes waheguru resides in everything .

DSG "Waheguru residing everything" has to be taken beyond logic into actual experience. It's possible to SEE that He is.

  5. The taste of keto acidosis is a little different and the sweet taste also has a slight bitter edge to it.

From what I know, there is also a distinctive smell of ketones from the persons breath that you can sense yourself and others can also smell if close enough !

So what causes the sweet taste of saliva during meditation if it's not ketones?

And the articles that Sat posted talk about how this can be tasted by other people, so it's not the tongue experiencing sweetness, the saliva is actually sweet. But this needs confirmation. Have you guys got someone to taste it yet? :D

  6. Bhagat's 'spirituality' has him defending paedophilia,

Don't you try to avoid reflecting on your beliefs by accusing me of stuff.

whereas we all know that dasmesh pita was strict-arse on Singhs' taking sexual advantages of vulnerable women in war or as retaliation for rape. To the point of excommunication and losing their right to be Singhs.

    That's not paedophilia my brother.

maybe, but the point remains that what he did, was illegal, and ignorance of the law is no defence, but even people under 16 are aware of this law, as it is in the news regularly.

If the judge was human, the culprit would have got a heavier sentence.

Same as with drunk-driving, nobody in uk can claim they are/were unaware of the drink-driving laws. more archaic laws, i concede, but not these.

Alright. Maybe there might be other factors involved that the judge took into account?

Anyway I have nothing else to add so let's leave the topic.

  7. I'm not so sure if I can rule it out as I've put on a lot of weight over the past year, especially around the mid section. My uncle doctor was telling me to loose it otherwise I'm setting myself up for diabetes plus I'm not a big water drinker and do have a sweet tooth. I don't think I'm dehydrated though. Whether I've taken too much sugar and my body is now having trouble coping might be possible.

Also mine manifests all the time even when I don't do simran. Although I am noticing it does calm down but one strong simran session and it's back. Let's just hope it's bhagati related and not medical. Might just get my blood sugar levels tested for peace of mind.

Oh ok that may be it.

    I don't think I'm dehydrated

Lol that's probably why you say this:

I'm not a big water drinker

What may help is if you or your missus make lassi, shakanjvi, roo afza, kachi lassi, juice, etc everyday. It maybe easier to consume water in more tasty forms.

  8. You appeared to have made being 'God orientated' and 'realistic' mutually exclusive - which our Gurus never did.

What I was trying to say was that one can see the "real, dark world" and still have a friendly and open attitude towards the "real, dark world".

You mentioned the Gurus. They talk about ParBrahmn on every page of SGGS. What is Parbrahmn?

For one, it is absolutely real, more real than the world. Two when it is perceived three things immediately happen:

    1. individual is filled with bliss

    2. the mind expands and opens up

    3. individual transcends 'I vs Other' mentality

  9. In my view, it's ok to play around with experiences as long as you have Brahmn in the back of your mind. man Ram nama bedhiale jaise kanak kala chit mandialey. Sant Namdev ji says his mind was penetrated by Ram naam the way a gold smithing has penetrated the mind of a goldsmith! He describes a little boy flying a kite and talking to his friends at the same time. Although he was talking to his friends he kept awareness on the string, cheet su doru rakhialay. He describes the cows let out for grazing in the field. She goes many miles away but cheeet su bachra rakhialay, keeps her calf in mind. Similarly one can experience things and enjoy those experiences (or even detest them) whilst their consciousness has Brahmn in there.

Satt when I first saw the name of the thread, I thought you was experiencing sweat in saliva or something. LOL

  10. The moon has a consciousness and it fulfills its purpose. It also has certain effects on the earth and the consciousness that resides there. We are the same. We fulfill the purpose of our existence and have an effect on other consciousness.

    Past (karma, ancestors) ------- push----> Organism (human, moon) -------pull------->Future possibilites A, B, C...

We are set forth in motion by a past but can be pulled towards any future. Waheguru is timeless so He is that pulling force from the future. The Atma (you) is attracted towards certain possibilities more than others, which are presented to Atma (you) by Parmatma.

Past (karma, ancestors) ------- push----> Atma in the organism (human, moon) -------pull-------> Parmatma pulls to various future possibilites A, B, C...

I think this reconciles free will with determined outcome.

    Bhul chuk maaf karna

  11. It is not under common law.

That's why its a good idea to have human judges and bring some humanity back into the law.

Thing with encountering it in sakhis as opposed to real life, is that the sakhi encounter doesn't give you the experience, knowledge and conditioning to try and deal with it on a practical level.

I agree that sakhis don't give you the lived experience of the world. However, they (and bani) do give ways to deal with it on the practical level.

  12. I got to say though.....

Now that I've met a good few people from Canada and have spoken to relatives I know well, who grew up here in London and have been living in Canada for a few years now.

Very often, Canadian brothers and sisters have a child like naivety towards the real, dark world. I know from speaking to relatives who've migrated that this is widespread problem because things are generally so cuddly out there.

"real, dark world" lol. Dally I understand the world is not good, in fact largely horrible and unforgiving. I mean its all there in the sakhis. You don't need to be a Brit to see it. But the attitude of a God-oriented person is highlighted by Guru Arjan when He says "na ko bairee nahe begana sagal sang hum ko banai". He got tortured but He did not give up His state of mind, His friendly attitude towards the world.

    LoL

    It's called Hukam ;)
