  1. Asalam alaykum,

    Sat Shri Akal,

For the sake of building bridges of understanding between our two great religions, by inviting anyone to join the NamazAlert forums.

The reason is not for fighting, but to (inshallah) help both communities better understand each other.

Muslims have many misconceptions of Sikhs, in particular, todays new generation who were not raised in India.

If anyone would like to come and speak of Sikhism, feel welcome to do so.

Also, admins, I don't believe this is against your rules, but if it is please know that I am trying my hardest not to "spam", this is in all honesty for the sake of us both learning more of our two religions.

  3. "A 'believer' is one who believes in ONE God and doesn't ascribe any partners to Him else he is called as a 'kaafir' in Arabic"

    Salam,

This is incorrect. The word "kaafir" is someone who has learned about Islam and THEN rejected it. If someone is just born and has not learned of Islam yet they are not kaafir.

    Shukria,

  4. Hi, I was wondering about the importance of cleanliness in Sikhism. I have alot of Sikh friends, and they never cut their hair, and it can get very dirty at times, especially while eating and such. (food gets into their beard)

I am a Muslim and Islam says to keep your beard the size of a fist, yet since Sikhs don't cut any of their hair at all apparently, the issue of cleanliness comes up.

So this is my question: What is the importance of cleanliness in Sikhism?
