  1. heheheh yeah..jsb...thanks for the information ..that is weird though....cuz you know all religions are kind of path ways to god ..and we say ek onkar....right

but chrisitianity people say ..hell is like burning for some 900 ( guessing on the number) years....

wonder whoz right and whoz wrong...guess will have to live it and find out

    fateh!

  2. okkk..hmm here i go again

i have heard before that verse..i believe comes from sikhi readings

marriages are settled in heaven, but celebrated on earth

( thought there was no hell or heaven in sikhi  ) ..-well i aint even sure if this verse is from sikhi..someone willing to clarify??

  3. yup, well said...A Kaur..and well said at NEO..sikhi is about quality not quantity..but as A kaur said who knows what she was going through

i remember on this form i read earlier..that if someone loses a virginity to a paki..then she/he becomes islamic/paki too

well, there is plenty of apnia ( sikh) kuddiya married to pakiz..so how is this sandhu girl the first one?? !! ...

    ..

  4. ok here i go ..once again with my big mouth :LOL:

alright the other day..i was walking through the parking lot of sam's club ( for all those european people, or maybe canadian..sams is a US based warehouse-providin things in bulk) ..anyways as i was walking ..happened to notice this flier kind of thing, mentioning some event at a local gurudwara, and it had like pictures of guru gobind singh ji and guru nanak dev ji ....and i don't know how many people would have walked on it (least a couple thousand) ...before i picked it up ...although i know we shouldn't worship to pictures, etc and etc. ..but don't you folks think its still disrespect ...to put pictures on fliers n such that will be distrubted to any lunda pucha on the street ..lol

second of all, i don't know how many times i have come across where ..me is seen khanda..or another sikh symbol as an graphic on the front..or back of the car....majorily in india !!..i think thats so stupid because we all park our car in the public, and therefore its open to anyone...by chance, what if someone was to "moot"(pee) on it ...just to be foolish n shit..(know how these pakis are these days  ) ..then isn't that the biggest shame..by putting a khanda on a car, doesn't make you any more of a sikh then someone who rides on a bicycle, so why do people do it..think it shud be banned ( lol i know i am dreaming, but this is something that irritates me a lot.!)

  5. WJKK WJKF

No offence but you need to sort out your life. parents are suppose to find the love of your life...not you!!!!!!

    WJKK WJKF

alright. i know most (if not all) want the best for their child. but in such arranged marriages, usually much contact isn't allowed between the husband and wife- to-be.

i believe the individuals who are putting their life up on the line-shud always have the final say.

did the guru jis ever mention anything about love ..and how it was forbidden. all they said was to marry widin your religion right?? ..correct me if i am wrong.

i believe there is really nothing wrong with loving someone..but you have to know your limits...and put your parents always in the first priority . as they are the ones who raised you and made you who you are.

and also i think the reason arranged marriages work the best is because the bride ...especially in our punjabi culture..fears to go outside of her comfort zone...and is trapped there!!....its like in the culture we live in, women are never given the chance "really" to be independent.....its like during childhood, a girl must subject to her father. and in later years to her husband. and then eventually to her sons. good grief! its like men always dominate..although with western influence. changes have started to occur....

anyways back on the thought of ..."parents are suppose to find the love of your life." ....does not work in all circumstances...especially when children are brought up in a western society.

but the main thing is you gotta know your limits. and put your parents in the first and foremost priority..!!

anyways ..enough on this one. i dont think it even makes sense what i wrote..but its worth the post.! lol

  6. i find it sad how people will go to such lengths, and confuse others, to try and justify their messed up ideas.

let me just clarify, the following are not allowed

removal of any hair, waxing, plucking, biting, sanding, (lol) whatever other imaginative ways u can think of.

bleaching or dying of any hair

    tatoos

    piercings

if u cant keep your rehit, dont call yourself a sikh, simple.

like i sed before, sikhism is not a system that u can work around because u think girls look prettier when they have triangular eyebrows instead of natural ones. personally i think plucked eyebrows look butters anyway. u either accept all of sikhi or none.

:oops: does that mean ear piercings too?? ...

oh and about tattoos...i've seen amritdhari people with the tattoo of " ek onkar" ...is that forbidden too??

  7. In this age and era, some surgeries such as those involving brain tumors, require head hair to be cut. What if in that case that person was an amritdhari??..Would waheguru forgive, or is it a sin that can't be erased.

Recently, one of my good friends, was involved in an massive accident ( still in coma   ) ..., well they did some sort of a surgery...which required for the head hair to be removed..luckily, she isn't an amritdhari. but say for an example an amritdhari was in her place, and in coma, and no control over what doctors did to him or her..so in this scenario does life come first or sikhi??..

  8. hmmmm...well i am not sure an ordinary gurudwara...,but as far as i think, you have to remove your socks when entering darbar sahib, because you have to wash your feet, in that little pool thing..and i don't think any common sensed person would want to get there socks wet...!! ..so i think you enter darbar sahib bare foot.

  9. Lately, or otherwords for like the past for gosh knows how long, there is been a dispute over "castes." ...Everyone these days goes its punjabi culture and not sikhi..And as far as I am concerned I believe punjabi culture and sikhi are two different things? Why are we trying to abolish it then?? ..Just leave alone punjabi culture and let it live..  :oops::oops:

  10. I am not sure if this "Ladla" has to do with sikh in any term, but ladla as far as the punjabi language is concerned.. means like " ..the most favorite.." ..or the most liked...:oops: i guess :oops: ..like for example 'Maa Da Ladla' Means Mom's most favorite.....i think this is right, lol

  11. hehehe.. :P i know this is totally off the topic of sikhism..,but you know that Snake game on nokia phones?..yeah ..anyways i was wondering..what is your highest score on it ...would be fun to share..and meet the winner  ...so go on and post..!!

  13. Why is it that ...Sikh girls/women are always put behind men ...( in anything they do )..why is it that men have more freedom.....One thing that may explain it is Punjabi MEDIA !!...It still continues to put women as if they were some sort of animals ..( a proper word burden) ....Gimme a break..!! ...Recently, the movie "Jee Aayen Nu" ..As far as the movie goes , it was Ok..,but what the heck was up with when Harbhajan Mann's acting dad sings that song" ..Rab Sab Nu Devi PUTT Mitthde Mere"..  :oops: Huh?? ..Can anyone explain??...So Rabb na deve dheea kisse nu vi ??..Cudn't the crew have said " Rab Sab Nu Devi Juwak/Niane Mitthe Mere..Hattiyon Cho Nahio Labhdey.....?? ..Yet, I thought we were living in 2003..!! I guess not ..!! ..Anyways, I personally was hella hurt when me heard that song...Ugggggh....:oops: .....don't we think we need to change the roads here in the media..!! ..we'll never advance in society terms..if this "shyt" ..continues to happen..anyone else feel/hear me?? :P:P:D
