  1. There are enough problems here where I am for me to take on India's.

And here you go with your white bullshit feminism again, like everyone is scheming to get you cooking in the kitchen all day.

Like we ain't got enough of our own Panjabi baggage coming into our community without white people bringing in their own hang ups....

You are the one who talks bullshit not Satkiran. You talk against goray all day long even though Satkiran clearly does not endorse any gora supremacy views or anything of the sort, she is a Sikh of Gori background why you keep bothering her

Seems like you suffer from some inferiority complex Dalleh

  2. I thought you was leaving the forum?

Please take your bullshit scholarship elsewhere.

    Who is Bapu Surat Singh?

I don't do pendu politics btw. Same mfs who are complaining about Hindus, treat other Sikhs like shite. I just see karma....

Panthic muslay are brought on ourselves 99% of the time. Usually by Sikhs of pendu peasant backgrounds. They can't stop complaining about Hindus, Chuhray, Chamaars, Tarkhans, Bapay etc. etc.

It's evident: they don't know how to get one with anyone else who is brown, but suck up to goray like they are their bitches.

I dont care about goray unlike you always fantasizing about them

you don't even know who bapu surat singh is lol shame on you

  3.

Neo the Khalistan movement brought out a lot of bravery and chivalry in many Sikhs. We have very good examples of Sukha/Jinda and their gang. Read about their exploits, you will be amazed. Then there were people like Avtar Singh Brahma, Toofan Singh and Arvinder Singh Goldy etc. I think the bravery and chivalry is still there in the Sikh psyche, but you have to take into account that wars are not fought aahmo-saamne anymore, and neither are the same weapons used.

If you look at the shaheedi of Bhai Avtar Singh Shattrana or Gurdev Singh Debu, you can see the spirit of the puratan Sikhs.

Sukha Jinda's exploits are comparable to those of Bhai Bidhi Chand. Funnily both Jinda and Bhai Bidhi Chand were criminals before turning to Sikhi.

  4. ^^^

Sikhs have just come out of a protracted period of being co-opted in European imperialism which has had devastatingly negative effects on them and their homeland. So don't be surprised if some of us a bit skeptical about Sikhs (male OR female) being co-opted abroad again.

Let me put it in perspective: using your logic I could argue that those Muslims that have fled Europe to fight with ISIS are 'brave'. That doesn't make what they are doing right to me.

Who was more brave - the black guys who fought in Vietnam for the US, or someone like the boxer Muhammad Ali, who didn't but spoke out about structural white racism and refused to participate in it.

Dalla, you post too much phudu crap against 'pendu' Punjabis and Whites. Stop being so obsessed with whites, hardly see you posting against the 250 000 Sikhs killed in the last 30 years or in support of Bapu Surat Singh? Put your energy into something useful rather than bitching about white colonialism all day long. Some panthic masley you know.

  5. Stop being a fool amardeep. Kesar Singh gives 2 Banis (japji anand) for Amrit, whether he tries to link his ancestors to this ceremony is another topic. Him 'altering' the recited banis at Amrit Sanchar does not affect his ancestors involvement (or absence thereof). Therefore keep these theories to yourself, you wannabe scholar. ALL historical sources got inaccuracies, so just because Kesar tries to link his ancestors with the ceremony does not affect the other facts such as his objectivity in reporting the amrit sanchaar date or the banis read so you cannot reject the source in its entirety especially keeping the fact in mind that is it the oldest source which mentions the bani names.

Your baseless theories are utter crap. I debunked your Gur Sobha myth so badly that you ran away from that topic and that PrashanUttar/Prehlad Singh fiasco you're trying to avoid too. You should learn not to twist every source to fit in your dasam granthi soch

  6. Regarding the initial topic, I was right in claiming that once upon a time Sikhs were more represented amongst various ethnic groups and present in nearly all countries.

Besides the Dabistan there is also Rai Chatarmans book Chahr Gulshaan written in about 1760 which says: "They (the Sikhs) are in such large numbers that in every country and city they are to be counted in thousands. At some places, which is especially connected with them, lakhs of them assemble." (see page 163, Sikh history from Persian sources).

Keeping the mid 18th century writing date in mind, the claim that 'countries' may refer to 'all corners of the Mughal empire' becomes weak. Therefore the statement and the presence of high profile Gurdwaras in central Asia and Arab countries need to be taken seriously. A British author notes in the 19th century that  a Gurdwara near the Red Sea is venerated by the Khalsas like the Muslims venerate Mecca.

  7. I found some interesting things in Assamese manuscripts about Guru Tegh Bahadur as well. Contemporary sources, letters, etc. They are in Dr Trilochan Singhs library. The accounts describe Guru Ji as a saint soldier, the description reminds you of the Guru Hargobind-Samrat Ramdas conversation.

  8. "The Ninth Nanak, Guru Teghbahadur, being of a pious bent toured the Eastern provinces with the Bengali monarch in the hope of establishing a prominent Sikh foothold in that region. Since the days of the first Nanak, the Sikhs had been spread far and wide and the Guru desired to collate the Eastern Sikhs under the authority of Nanak. With him traveled a several-hundred strong guard composed of his father, Har Gobind's, finest warriors. These men had inflicted costly defeats on the Delhi court in their heyday and were always prepared to re-manifest the glory which they had earned under their founder.'

-"New Lights on Mogul India from Assames Sources," S.K. Bhuyan, 'Islamic Culture, Vol. III, no. 2,' (January 1934 A.D.), pg. 89."

I know this source but won't tell you ha ha ha.

Okay, the source says Guru Tegh Bahadur had 30 000 soldiers and it is in Assamese language. I got the book, it is based on the Assamese Buranjees found by SK Bhuyan himself. The source has been rejected by noted Sikh scholars as being inaccurate regarding the number of soldiers but the general idea has been accepted by the likes of Fauja Singh and GS Talib.
