  1. John Tyndall, BNP founder, has died

    (Filed: 19/07/2005)

John Tyndall, the founder of the British National Party (BNP) has been found dead at his home, police have said.

Tyndall was due to appear in court this week

Mr Tyndall, 71, was due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday facing two counts of using words or behaviour intended or likely to stir up racial hatred.

He was found dead by his wife this morning at their flat in Hove, East Sussex.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Tyndall's death.

Mr Tyndall was charged with BNP leader Nick Griffin, following a long-running investigation into the BBC documentary A Secret Agent, which secretly filmed BNP activists.

He was expelled from the party twice - in 2003, and again earlier this year.

Mr Tyndall, a former chairman of the National Front, founded the BNP in 1982. He was replaced by Griffin in 1999 after a leadership election.

  2. No, I don't think so. As Christians regard Jesus as God, anti-God would be the devil. Anti-Christ is supposedly human incarnations of the devil (Hitler is regarded by some as an anti-Christ, especially if you have some knowledge of Nostradamus' predictions). I don't think it has anything to do with religions directly

  3. Surely all this stuff about Guru Gobind Singh Ji not going to Sachkhand in 1708 is bikwas. And aren't the Sau Sakhi not given much credit by Sikhs as they are either creation of Britishers or Hindus in 18th or 19th century?

PLus, aren't the namdharis supported by RSS to try to eliminate Sikhi?

  4. There's recently been a shake-up of the domestic hockey system in india from what i been told by my cousin in india. The teams have proper adidas kits and stuff, including the Panjab team, Shere Jalandhar, and there's a Chandigarh team too. I been told that Shere Jalandhar came second in the national league.

  5. As someone born outside of Panjab, I don't know as much as people from there about its geography etc. Anyway, as these things are not made most obvious, and I would like to increase my knowledge about Panjab and History of Sikhi (and also other Gurdwaras like in Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh etc) can people post information about Gurdwaras in relation to the districts of Panjab/states of India they are in.

For example, these are the districts of Panjab: Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawansher, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Faridkot, Ferezopur, Moga, Muktsar, Bhatinda, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ropar, Patiala, Sangrur, Mansa (I may have missed any out).

E.g. I know of two important Gurdwaras in Ropar dist for example: Bebhoar Sahib and Anandpur Sahib.

In Amritsar obviosuly there is Harmandir Sahib and Tarn Taran Sahib.

I do know of other Gurdwaras that are in other districts, but if anyone posting can make a detailed, ordered lists of Gurdwaras in any single states. Some states I do not know much about, like Mansa, Ferozepur and Moga. :)

    Appeal 3: Durham Takeaway Rape

At 10.30pm on 14th April 2005, a 17-year-old girl and her teenage friend went to get a take-away from a fast-food restaurant in Craghead, north-west Durham. Her friend left first, to catch his bus home. Whilst the girl waited for her order, she asked to use the lavatory. However, having used the facilities upstairs, she was confronted by a member of staff who pushed her into a room and raped her.

The girl went home, told her family and informed the police. When the police arrived, the suspect and two other members of staff had vanished.

The man, known as 'Sabby' has been in the country for six years, working in the north-west of County Durham for the past two years. He is known in the small Sikh community in the north-east of England and attended the Sikh temple in Newcastle.

Officers have talked to members of the small Sikh community in County Durham and have confirmed that he stayed locally the night of the attack, before disappearing. Police believe he is still in Britain and believe members of the public and the Sikh community could provide crucial information leading to his whereabouts.

    Appeal Points

Police are appealing for three men:

    1. The main suspect is known as 'Sabby'. His full name is: Sarabjit Singh, he's 26-years-old, he was born in Western Punjab.

Sarabjit Singh (I don't know how to post pictures, but it's on the site

    2. The second man is Harjinder Singh, who's also known as 'Jinder'. He is 32-years-old, he was also born in the same village in the Punjab. He too has been living in the UK for about six years, has worked in the north west of County Durham for about 18 months and attended the same temple.

    Harjinder Singh

    3. There is a third man, who's in his forties. We know him only as 'Jimmy'.

Police know that these men were very well connected within the north-east, in the Midlands, and in the south of England specifically within the Asian communities. They are also believed to be the subject of immigration applications.

We will have a Punjabi speaker in the studio.

Incident Room number for County Durham Police: 0191 3752559

  7. Dhroo bhagat as far as I know was the son of a king, and his stepmum did not let his father love him. Then Dhroo bhagat asked why he did not receive love from his father, and his stepmother told him it was becos of his past karam. So, he left home, did bhagti.

Prahlaad was the son of Harnaakash, also a King, and Harnakaash thought of himself to be God, and asked Prahlaad why he was not obeying him, Prahlaad rightly did not belive his father, and his father made iron poles hot and told Prahlaad to hug the iron poles and see if God would save him, and God did, in the form of a Hindu God, which I'm not sure which one.
