  1. I saw it coming as soon I watched Gadar. its not an attack by the gorey or kale.. please leave them out of it! The film is a retaliation of Gadar, the Inidan movie where the protagonist is supposedly a Sikh man and the female muslim woman. The movie is an attempt to portray Sikhs in a bad light and basically one could call it a revenge attack!

As for the characters being real! You belive that you'll believe that every time a muslim says, "Allah de Kasam", he is telling the truth!

Don't pay too much attention to it! The best thing to do is to IGNORE it, any protests or resistance from the Sikhs will bring the movie PUBLICITY! Let the dogs bark, don't give them bones!

  2. Do you mean he is having 'Turkani da sang'?

Amrti ji, I encourage my boys to mix with people of all cultures and races afterall they r gonna be working with people of different walks of life in later years.

The muslim girls are looking out for Sikh boys for a good time something their own incompetent insecure boys can't do. But not with my son. My son didn't take any of these girls seriously, another reason I have now stopped the relationshop from developing further.

  3. And you believe Hinduism is a better alternative?!

Nah, Hindus are living way back than the 7th Century. Hindu nationalism is rising day day by. It was becoz of Hindu Neo Nazi idealogy that India was split in 1947. Just like Muslims, Hindus are very insecure about their religion. In order to safeguard Hinduism (which is not a religion) they are trying to destroy Sikhism.

Sikhs in India need to wake up to what is happening instead of getting sucked into anti sikh propaganda.

  4. More and more Muslim women are becoming educated, they know the difference between the truth (Sikhism) and BS (Islam). Many of them marry out (I personally know 3 of them married to Sikhs) and stay out for good. My girl is an Afghan Muslim, but she doesn't care about Islam, she knows it's all crazy 7th century tribal Arab BS...

    Kind Regards,

    MI

P.S. It would be fair to say that Muslims in general are sick of Islam because they know the evil truth which is truly shocking: http://www.faithfreedom.org - Have a look at what Islam is really about, sources from their own Koran and Hadith. ISLAM = TERRORISM!

With education they are slowly learning. Islam will be replaced by Hinduism do u think?

  5. yes....maybe they're "waking up".......

or maybe they're taking the same route as their muslim "rothers" and using kaam to attract sikhs....

No bro. these girls are genuinely besotted with my son. One of the girls is ready to convert into Sikhism. which again I have discourged her for her own sake. as she may be sent back to Pakistan for good.

  6. I added this on to the other post, but nobody cared to reply to it. I dunno if it was because nobody cared or cuz they didn't see it

Well newayz, I Got this so far. I made it to sound as scholarly as possible, though i'm sure it could use some help.

"From Sikhism’s entry into the world stage in 1469AD to its journey to the present day, a perturbing notion has followed the young faith. Originating in a country dominated by deeply rooted religions dating back hundreds to thousands of years, Sikhism faced a daunting task: How would it present itself as a uniquely distinct religion? Moving forward some 500 years to the present day, it appears that its objective has not changed. A prevalent belief among certain circles is that Sikhism is simply a permutation of the ancient Indian religions which predeceased it. In particular, it is a belief among Islamic circles that Sikhism is simply a faction of the Mohammedan religion, a great misconception. Thus, the following essay shall strive to show how Sikhism, though bearing certain similarities to Islam, is essentially a unique religion with a 20 million strong worldwide following. The aforementioned shall be achieved primarily through two means: 1) an exploration of the historical ties which are mistakenly thought to bind the two religions and 2) a critical assessment of both religions from their respective theological aspects."

When i refer to the historical aspect, I mean to talk about things like Guru Nanak's supposed pilgrimage to Mecca (and how it is used to justify him as a muslim) and just goes further to point out how, if islam and sikhism were the same, that the sikhs were greatly persecuted etc.

Feedback would be appreciated for the intro. Remember, i had to keep it short and sweet as much as possible.

you will find the Hindus referring to Sikhism as a faction of Hinduims more so than Muslims. I am not sure whether Islam acknowledges Sikhism as a religion as it is post Islam therefore not a "true" religion. BUT still, It seems like everyone wants a chunk of Sikhism and claim it as its own  What u have written so far is interesting and yes very scholary. Once completed, please post the the whole of this assignment here, I would like to read it. Thanks :)

  7. Of what I've heard

    it is true..

Good news if its changing now

    *I live IN Sweden..

personally havn't seen any of it when i Was in London *

Mirpuri muslim girls don't have it easy, they are forced to marry their cousins or usually sent back to Pakistan for early marriage or a long term stay. There are many sad stories :( Few are even murdered in honour killings. I find (having worked with this community for number of years) the blokes to be extremely envious of the successes of the Sikhs. Please note, I donot accuse all, I am sure there are some very decent hard working Mirpuri muslims but on the whole this community is very closed in and is driven by their religious agenda.

But on the positive note, as more and more of their girls are gaining education they are rebelling and are saying no to marrying cousins :)

Goverment has also put more resources to raise the educational standards of this community, hopefully we'll see better able sincere mirpuris who will honour and respect their women and all women..

  8. I think you may be right, I have seen Muslim girls who do not believe they should wear a Hijaab, let alone a Niqab (full length Burqa). They are more independant and they do get educated at Universities and work alongside men which is discouraged by Islaam. Maybe they are slowly waking up to the fact that Islaam is clearly not practical in this day and age of equality and independence between both sexes.

    Gurfateh

Sikh boys generally hold integrity and are more sincere and responsible but when it come to marriage, I think muslim girls would still want it their way, which is nikah. But saying that there is one chap in our vicinity who had Anand Karaj with his muslim wife. She goes to the Gurdwara with him every Sunday.

  9. Sat Sri Akal

Dear all, It is true that Muslim ( Mirpuri) propagandist and fanatics have been trying to convert Sikh girls in the UK for the last 3 decades or so. But now I think the tables are turning and there is a backlash for number of reasons. Muslim girls are now becoming educated therefore wiser and independent, they prefer not to marry their cousins or most traditional muslins who still marry more than once, polygamy still prevails even in the Western countries. The Mirpuri muslin youth are disaffected and quite frankly messed up having no real direction in life. Many girls now realise that they can not offer them financial or emotional security which is necessary ingredients of matrimony.

My son who is (only 16 but looks much older) is currently pursued by 2 muslin girls. I have tried to talk to the girls who both claim that they love my son and I have been discouraging both reminding them of our religious differences and consequences if their parents found out.

Are any of you people finding a change of tide?

    Sat Sri Akal

  10. J.singh or if anyone has sikhi predictions book by surinder singh kohli handy ... could someone please make an new thread and start typing out interesting prophecies( chapters) with their refrences online..

so please someone can do this panth dii seeva that be great.. i have searched everywhere for this book.. coouldnt find anywheree

You might be able to order this book online, If u live in Birmingham UK PM me,our Gurdwara library has it too. But why digress back to predictions, prophesies etc etc... :?

  11. Yes, Kohli has stated some sakhis may have been manipulated (eg the one where GuruJi will be born into a brahmins house), however, without doubt Kohli FULLY expects GuruJi to arrive again - this is his conclusion based on years of study

Yes Kohli seems to expect that, it is one man' conclusion too. Kohli's book starts with the translation of Bhavisha purana written by Sage Vyse, according to Kohli this particular purana predicts the birth of the Sikh religion too. Bhavisha purana has too been tampered with over the last thousands of years.

  12. More learn you about scriptures, prophecies.. better it is... remember knowledge is power to defeat the enemies...

N30 Singh ji, Agreed knowledge is power but be careful not to mix facts with fiction. Sau Sakhis (100 fictional stories) are merely stories interpolated many times by people with vested interests of different era. As Bikramjit stated Sikh scholars have dismissed this particular book of 100 stories. Infact Professor Surinder Singh Kohli who is renown author of Sikhism has been criticised for writing his analytical book of examining the stories.

There is no place for B*** in Sikhism :)

  13. May i beg to ask what evidence you have to support your claims??

Let the researcher search and learn... why dont you leave that matter to the scholars...oh by the way they do provide evidence unlike jus an statement.....

And nobody is claiming that they dont beleive in sggs. Its nothing wrong if you like to study other sikh scriptures like dasam guroo durbar, sarbloh granth and sau sakhiya... also learn different languages... i for one know for sure.. relying on english translations for sggs... its not enuf... sanskrit, barj, farsi, arabic.. our guroo have learned ... know you can see how we are protayin our guroo's image??

More learn you about scriptures, prophecies.. better it is... remember knowledge is power to defeat the enemies...

LOL.. I have read the Sau Sakhi and have read Professor Surinder Singh's book examining the sakhis therefore I have some authority to make this statement.

Bhai Vir Singh when examined the Sakhis said that they were tampered with. Surinder Singh Kohli too have stated the same. True Sikhs donot give any importance to these sakhis. These sakhis are supposed to be recollections of events about the 10th master written by some CHARLATAN as stated in Khuswant's Singh, `how the Sikh raj fell'. I totally agree with u on learning different languages.. which ones are u proficient in?

    Regards

    harmless

  14. Please note everybody, Sau Sakhi was not written by the 10th master but some chartlan and it has also been tampered with many times. Our living Guru is SGGS in which resides the sprit of the 10 Gurus, believe in it, not some predictions made by unknown people to confuse and misinform Sikhs.
