  1. Good video by sant ji.

On kirpan da amrit topic, it almost seems like water down version of khanda da amrit but less strict rehat maryada for bibis? or rather intial preliminary amrit stage- begineer amrit like chaula? I guess only difference between kirpan da amrit or chaula is kirpan da amrit you will still get gurmantar and mool mantar ? Like to know whats the rehat maryada of kirpan da amrit? still 5 kakar?

    Capture.jpg

maiyan can wear 5 kakkar ,rehat is not that ough for them i guess, due to physical changes and house hold duties

  2. ofcourse Guru Gobind Rai , became Guru Gobind Singh

but maiyan never changed their name , Kaur doesnt refer to as female princess or anything

1st son of king is called tikka sahib

tikka because he will get tikka to rule

    2nd one is called kora

because he is kora from raaj and cannot rule, but has rights of property

    hence Kaur .

thats why mata sahib deva ji's

gurudwara in nanded has name "mata sahib deva ji" not mata sahib kaur ji

  3. Please excuse my ignorance. There are several hukamnamas available written by Mata Sundari and mata Sahib Devan ji written during second decade of eighteenth century more than fifteen years after tenth Guruji passed away. Still they wrote their names Sundari and Sahib Devi. Apparently they had not taken Khande di Pahul. Had they done so they would have written their names as Sunder Kaur and Sahib Kaur. Does it mean that what Sanatan Sikhs of Amritsar Singh Sabha were writing is true that at the time of tenth Guru ji or till Singh Sabhas period females were not given Khande da Amrit. Hence, logically, females without Having taken Khande da Amrit could not partcipate in adminitering Pahul.

However now that there is no such restriction in SRM for females to receive Khande DI Pahul, there should be no ban to be a panj piari.

agreed , khande di pahul is for singhs only , what whole panth latter accepted was kirpan da amrit for maiyan because certain singhs will not take food from non amritdhari .

    also

kaur is not a female word. its refered to as second son of king.

and the word for amritdhari maiyan is , kshatrani

  4. There are as mentioned above, examples of females with Kaur second name before 1699 as well as after 1699. However, it is hard to find initiation by Khande di Pahul. At all the Takhats females were given 'Kirpan da Amrit, in which a single Gurmukh Sikh prepares and delivers Amrit with a small kirpan and does not recite all the Banis specified for Khande de Amrit. The blade of the Kirpan is not used but the handle.

At Hazoor Sahib and Patna Sahib this is the practice I believe even now. In Rahitnama Prem Sumarg, for a female, after Khande da Amrit epithet 'Devi' is suggested to be appended to her first name.

The Khalsa Dharam Shastar a large Rahitnama document prepared by Avtar Singh Vahiriya of the Amritsar Singh Sabha headed by Khem Singh Bedi gives details of the Kirpan da Amrit for females.

is it possible to view khalsa dharam shastar by avtar singh vahiriya ? online?

  5. yes its mai bhago not mata bhag kaur

the senior kid of a king is called "Tikka sahib" who is to proceed and be next king

Kaur is for his 2nd kid , who has rights to everything but rulling .

thats why maiyan are called Kaur as 2nd kid, it does not mean princess in any way :)

i was just reading this is hazuri maya prabodh , nicely written and explained

  6. looking at how your toungue disrespects native singhs , i would only say
who is fake who is real how do you know! be that real one before you say it to others,
    guru sahib says
do kamai of that thing only then you're allowed to say it to other otherwise that person goes to jampuri

and for foul mothed people , guru ji says

    ਨਾਨਕ ਫਿਕੈ ਬੋਲਿਐ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਫਿਕਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
Naanak Fikai Boliai Than Man Fikaa Hoe ||
O Nanak, speaking insipid words, the body and mind become insipid.
    ਫਿਕੋ ਫਿਕਾ ਸਦੀਐ ਫਿਕੇ ਫਿਕੀ ਸੋਇ ॥
Fiko Fikaa Sadheeai Fikae Fikee Soe ||
He is called the most insipid of the insipid; the most insipid of the insipid is his reputation.
    ਫਿਕਾ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਟੀਐ ਮੁਹਿ ਥੁਕਾ ਫਿਕੇ ਪਾਇ ॥
Fikaa Dharageh Satteeai Muhi Thhukaa Fikae Paae ||
The insipid person is discarded in the Court of the Lord, and the insipid one's face is spat upon.
    ਫਿਕਾ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਆਖੀਐ ਪਾਣਾ ਲਹੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
Fikaa Moorakh Aakheeai Paanaa Lehai Sajaae ||1||
The insipid one is called a fool; he is beaten with shoes in punishment. ||1||

now the second part talks jhoot is everywhere but how do we get rid of it? its by naam , so yes the following explains it and rather then washing it latter why not at first place make your own or only accept food from person with bad karma?
and since we are not sure of anyone , the least we can make sure is too have it from amritdhari or baani reciting person and kirpan bhet it before eating
