Vaheguru je ka khalsa, Vaheguru je ke fateh!

Sant Baba Gaini Jarnail Singh je khalsa bhindranwale indeed did say that he would not ask for khalistan, but will take it if given. BUT

he also said this

If the indian government attacks harimander sahib( which it did in 1984), they will lay the foundation brick for khalistan( meaning khalistan wil be made).
