  1. Bhindranwale was arrested for the murder of the Nirankari baba [let me correct myself it was the murder of the head of a newspaper who had insulted bhindranwale in his newspaper], his followers mostly admit he did put a bounty on his head. However there was a lack of evidence, and a range of protests compelled the government to release him. Bhindranwale did say an attack was going to happen a year before- either intel, prophecy or he provoked the whole thing to begin with. The very definition of terrorism is to spread an ideology with the use of violence; bhindranwale had made threats like putting a sign outside of the golden temple saying anyone found to be smoking here will be beheaded and their head will be mounted outside. Or people mentioning bhindranwale said he will kill any amritdhari he finds drinking alcohol- (some sikhs tend to mention this).

Some say he started pillling bags of sand after General Subheg Singh defected from the Indian army to Bhindranwale having realised the government was going to raid the complex of the golden temple.

It seems Bhindranwale was moving a revivalist movement to re-arm sikhs and oppose the government (bhindranwale mentioned once in a speech that he was the sikh of a true court, the court of god and he was not going to observe a false government of india court- it seems to be an implementation of when sikhs stood against mughal tyranny) as early Sikhs had done to the mughal government. Bhindranwale felt Sikhs were discriminated against by the government and more so by the police. Bhindranwale in his speeches narrates mistreatment of Sikhs by the police the list goes from derobing Sikh daughters and parading them naked through villages, raping sikh women by the police, killing people, police stealing ( a range of things the punjab police is still accused of by human right violations). Bhindranwale felt the central government had issued the mistreatment of Sikhs. Bhindranwale also demanded the passing of the anandpur resolution to amend the constitution of India which people say Master Tara Singh the Sikh representative never signed. With the demands of the Sikhs.

Bhindranwale had said that altering the constitution wasn't a big matter for indira gandhi since she had in her term already done so (even though she was accused of electoral vote fraud). The anandpur resolution demanded Sikhs be established as a separate religion and not a sect of Hinduism under the marriage act which classified sikhs as hindus on marriage certificates. It also demanded establishing Amritsar as a holy state such as Mathaura(birth place of krishna)- which would mean the ban of consumption and sale of alcohol, meat and drugs. And lastly the right to broadcast the golden temple sermons and preaching through radio.

Broadcasting occurs today, as for the marriage act people claim this was in place during the time of the british but was removed by nehru, the complications some claim is difficulty in immigration. There have been some changes to the marriage act which require a couple going to court to have it changed through a long administrative procedure which make it easier to declare oneself just as a hindu. The third of making amritsar a religious state for some was very meaningful some felt Sikhi was under ideological attack by dilluting the population with kurehita. For india a ban of alcohol to punjab would hamper the economy since a large portion of punjabi drink, it would have lead to a series of crimes through bootlegging alcohol as does happen in gujrat and did happen in america.

General Brar says that when operation blue star took place they did stop all food supplies going in, they cut power, water and waited for 24 hours, they gave notice over loud speakers to vacate the complex. Some survivors say this is lies and they never heard it, general brar says they did announce it. The army was sent in due to the vast growth of bhindranwales men and supporters. After the operation they found weapons made in china and pakistan, they found men they claim were spies and men from pakistan through finding circumcisions- medical exams, they found khalistani dollars had been printed. After the flush out of those insurgents a whole series of insugencies took place including assaignation of government officials. Who these men said were involved in the genocide of Sikhs. General Brar felt bhindranwale had put everyone in danger. Indira Gandhi is said to have felt that had she given into the anandpur resolution the separatist militants would have asked for more and she had to put her foot down and be strong, give an inch they take a mile as she narrated, in one interview by general Sinha.

General Sinha once said that the indian army should have done prayers outside of the complex and asked bhindranwale and his men to join them in the prayers and surrender their weapons to guru granth sahib for peace. General Brar on radio in response to this method said time was of the essence there is no telling how long things would have taken and it would have been possible they would have shot the army men. General Brar says that the operation had to be done swiftly otherwise the inhabitants of punjab would have seen it as a threat and attacked the army. Brar also says before the operation he gave the freedom of his men to leave the operation with any doubts, a sikh stepped forward and brar told him with grace he could leave. But the sikh said he wants to go in first since bhindranwale has corrupted the sanctity of the golden temple. General Brar said bhindranwale corrupted the sanctity of the akal takht by living inside of it going toilet there, taking his bath there, eating there.

Bhindranwale was said to have taken camp there in 82 and it is felt in some documentaries he had provoked indira gandhi. Bhindranwales role as a priest, head of the taksal almost a bishop in the vatican is usually not considered. The question I would like to ask is if bhindranwale was such a great threat, why did they release him? Why not keep him detained and ignore the protests- so many peoples lives would have not been lost. They could have charged him with anything as they do to a whole range of people. We can see besides all the protests now india has rajoana locked up perhaps under the same perception of threat.

Bhindranwale and his men being armed with automatic machine guns, ak47s, bazakos, rocket launches, grenades, pistols- was perhaps an interpretation of Sikh teachings to rule independently when banda singh bahadur was given 5 arrows by guru gobind singh. The perception by other Sikhs was that the indian rule present was one that was constituted of sikhs especially when the president of india was a sikh - giani zail singh, who was assaignated by insurgent sikhs. This perception of Sikhs being a part of the government of India became thinner when the government of india conspired pograms in Delhi with systematic killings, loot, arson and rape of Sikhs in Delhi- even though there was a thin wall of cultural difference in the sikhs of delhi having mostly not heard of bhindranwale in a saintly way but through the radio as a separatist cult leader. The healing process to trial and bring to justice those who conspired in the pograms hasn't taken place and in many ways those who were involved have progressed along in the system of india. And much faith in India has been lost. For many Sikhs this sense of desperation lead to further diaspora.

Try getting General V.K. Singh's (prior chief of army before General Bikramjit Singh) autobiography. He's devoted a whole section to mismanaged and unnecessary Indian military operations. Operation Bluestar is his main hen. He classifies it as being unnecessary, and once executed, heavily mismanaged. His contempt for Brar is basically infectious, whereas General Sundarji's character is overtly murdered. In the aftermath of his sacking, he leaked private information withheld by the army about many of it's operations. When questioned on Operation Bluestar, especially seeing his successor was a Sikh, he is known to have described a mismanaged scene of chaotic bureaucracy. Most of the generals Indra summoned to spearhead the Operation refused, saying they did not want to get involved in Punjab. Especially since she was the one citing Bhindranwale could not be brought to the negotiation table. Secondly the extreme step of dispatching more than a hundred men to attack a religious place was highly unnecessary. This was even noted by India's ambassador to Madagascar, who went to meet the militants. Counting more than 200 armed paramilitary personnel ringing Darbar Sahib, he was later to ask why no sniper took Bhindranwale out and removed the brain of the militancy if that was what Indra truly wanted.

Above all he conclusively stated that even the army was against the attack. The media censorship in it's aftermath, planned prior, would only aggravate matters further. To circumvent such an obstacle Indra finally selected specific regiments, such as the Bihar Regiment, the Madras Regiment and the Assam Regiment. Even then select battalions and divisions were chosen, whose silence and loyalty could be ensured.

  2. But why send in the army why make a big scene and draw attention to the event even more. Why didnt they use the local police and why did the army trycutting the food that was going in so everybody had to come out.

The problem was Indra was not as popular as she was during the creation of Bangladesh. She needed a massive voting issue. What better than to steer an agitation towards violence via state prowess (police, para military etc), unleash a destructive attack, express a sorry face and than gain a landslide victory in the upcoming elections.

  3. In his book Khushwant is building up the argument for why he doesn't believe in god. He starts off with his life having taken amrit, done nitnem, been around a full family where akhand paaths were the norm. He states he feared his declaration until 1947. In the section of the extract it is from a chapter addressing muhammden prejudices he felt he had. That extract comes from the prejudice he has detailed of the feeling that muhammdens are fanatics he starts off with some examples of Muhammden fanaticism and equates Bhindranwale to the likes of Khoemini himself when he had placed the fatwa (bounty) on Salman Rushdie.

I think Khushwant tries to be impartial after-all his daughter is married into muhammden's. Besides his award from Akal Takht by the jathedar and praises by Sikhs. He is of firm conviction the unlikeness of an existence of a diety. His book does make quite a wide range of quotations from the koran and his perception of the positive merits of muhammdenism which include the praise of god and the staunch frigidness of muhammdenism. He has argued that muhammdenism can't be accused for forceful conversion as it was rigidly condemned in their religion where as something like that in Sikhi isn't as rigidly mentioned which gives room for fanaticism to arise.

Not equating myself to him but in my experience the only time anyone can make that statement is when they are highly drunk.

  4. ...fictionalized the tragic episode in his The Satanic Verses (1988). We in India have similar groups of fanatics committed to violence. It is not a mere coincidence that leaders of these cults are men or women with diseased minds but mesmeric powers of speech. In the early 1980s, in Punjab, we had Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who ordered cold-blooded executions of his detractors. He and his militant followers were holed up in the Golden Temple at Amritsar. In early June 1984, the Indian Army entered this temple to evict the militants, and in the ensuing battle, brought about the destruction of the sacred Akal Takht. (Chapter 1.) Bhindranwale himself was killed. In the 1980s, thousands of lives were lost in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.

The impression I get from Khushwant Singh's works is he's basically neutral but when it suits him he jumps on either of the bandwagons surrounding him.

  5. "Look, as a HINDU punjabi I don't really see a difference between Hindus and sikhs, and have nothing against my sikh brothers and sisters. That's the truth, take it or leave it."

This is what ekomakar fellow used to say but after read his recen posts the truth has been revealed!

The only unity they can ever create is trying to absorb a unique precedent into their own decayed psyche.

  6. What Hindus should have or shouldn't have ..leave it to them ..first of all what i know is it wasn't a mosque in the complete sense ...it had pillars carved with hindu icons which no mosque has ..it was captured and taken over and i see nothing wrong in Hindus doing the same to regain what they lost.

Hindu priests and vagabonds deliberately placed idols in the mosque. Local upper caste Hindus took up the cry that now the place had become a temple and moving the idols would mean blasphemy.

  7. The Hindus have not regained anything, they just demolished an old derelict Mosque who has no historic or religious significance apart from that it is a Mosque. Even with their 80% brute majority they cannot even force the 15% Muslims to accept that the Ram temple can be built on the site. It would have been better if the Hindus had tried to build the Temple when the Mughals were still in charge or when some of the local Hindu Rajas had taken power, but they wait until the Muslims have been reduced to a small minority due to partition and then they kick up a fuss.

When I asked around most of the residents said no one really knows where the original Ram Temple was. The Dalits were heavily opposed to the idea of building any temple. Especially since there were so many around considered to be the original. One of the residents said that the upper caste buffons only want the hill for the views (where the mosque was) and nothing more. Another individual showed me a programme he had recorded on tv, some guy kept on saying he had a dream where Ram Chandra told him to free him from captivity in the mosque. We both cracked up laughing. Out of all the things that could have been used, that was the best they could come up with. I also came across a documentary (will try hunting it out again) where a local Hindu priest explains how he was paid to place idols in the mosque, in order to engineer hostilities between both Hindus and Muslims; and that too by the local governor who was acting on behest of Nehru.

  8. Problem is, Punjabi Hindus are very quick at pointing fingers at others when it's the skeletons in their own closet that they should be looking at. Punjabi Hindu terrorists like Jagdish Tangri and Pawan Kumar Sharma were not only protected by the Indian government while they killed Sikhs in cold blood but they were even allowed to grow.

Jagdish Tangri who was the leader of all India Shiv Sena, was also a pornographic distributor. When Capt Amrinder Singh was CM of Punjab, he had raided many people's houses who were known tax evaders. When Tangri's house was raided, they found a huge amount of pornographic material that he produced and distributed. This was just one of many of this perverted terrorist's illegal business activities.

  9. excellent points Tony jee, Despite so many Sikhs migrating from Punjab for the west for the last 3 decades and the blood bath of Sikh youth during the 80s and 90s, still Sikhs have enough babies to maintain their 60% majority in Punjab while Punjabi Hindus who despite remaining in Punjab(with no major migration outside the state), have actually shrunk because they only have one baby per family. Soon they will even be a minority in the cities too as more Sikhs from the villages are migrate there searching for jobs. In fact the property price boom in the cities for the last 2 decades is because of Sikhs migrating to the cities buying up property.

Culturally Sikhs dominate Punjab so much that even many Punjabi Hindus have started adopting Sikh costoms like doing Anand Karaj, having Akhand Paaths etc. They are almost like Mona Sikhs. The days of these hateful Arya Samaji Hindus is limited.

The last battles will be fought by their keyboard warriors on forums and facebooks. Doaba Sher a.k.a Sher got blocked by many individuals on FB. Amongst them being Dr. Gurinder Singh Maan, Akali-Nihung Kamalroop Singh Ji, the page Tisarpanth being only a few names. For those who have fb accounts you can approach these individuals and ask why.

  10. This Punjabi Hindu terrorist Jagdish Tangri was also a known enemy of the Sikhs. His Hindu terrorist network had killed Sikhs during the 1980s and is responsible for spreading much hatred against the peaceful Sikhs community. He had wanted to ethnically cleanse all of punjab of Sikhs by driving them into Pakistan. During the Gujarat riots when Hindu terrorists killed thousands of Muslims, the Punjabi Hindu terrorists Jagdish Tangri supplied weapons and money to be used against Muslim civilians.

Tangri supplied arms to Gujarat rioters: ex-cohort

    Tribune News Service

    Ludhiana, March 6

A former accomplice of former Shiv Sena leader Jagdish Tangri has given under oath some startling details of how the leader and his son allegedly supplied arms and ammunition to members of a particular community in Gujarat last year, which were allegedly used in the riots in the state.

Mr Sai Dass, formerly a close associate of Mr Tangri, has turned approver in the arms supply case that hit the headlines last year. The district police has received a shot in the arm with this.

Mr Sai Dass was one of the five persons booked by the district police last year for supplying arms to some persons in Gujarat. The case had been registered at the Division number 3 police station on the recommendation of the SP City-I of Amritsar. The police officer had quoted intelligence inputs received about the supply of arms.

Four persons, including Mr Jagdish Tangri, Mr Sunil Tangri and Mr Ravinder Pal Singh, had been booked under charges amounting to waging a war against the Government of India by collecting and supplying arms and rioting. Barring Mr Sunil Tangri, all had been arrested.

The approver’s statement has taken the lid off the arms supply case. Till now, a few details were available of what had happened. The police had no more details than the directions of the police officer at Amritsar.

Highly placed police sources disclosed to TNS that Sai Dass, lodged at Central Jail here, had written a letter to the District and Sessions Judge through the jail officials, requesting him that he be made an approver. His request was accepted and he gave a statement to Mr Balwinder Kumar, JMIC, under Section 164 of the CrPc yesterday.

In his statement, the approver stated that in March last year, he had witnessed the events during which Mr Jagdish Tangri and others had allegedly struck the deal. He said three persons from Gujarat had come specifically for the purpose. He said Mr Jagdish Tangri and others had allegedly loaded bags of swords, knives and other weapons in a Tata Sumo. Police sources claimed that the weapons had been used during the riots.

“I had put three sacks filled with these weapons in the vehicle,” stated Mr Sai Dass before the Judge, police sources said. He also stated that Mr Tangri used to run his own court of law in Gur Mandi, settled disputes on his own terms and used to charge money.

Mr Anil Joshi, SHO, Division number 3 police station, declined to comment, saying it was part of the police investigation. He said that police had made some success in the case.

Mr Jagdish Tangri, his son Sunil and others had been booked and arrested last year. The charges included rioting, supplying arms, attacking policemen, pirating audio and video cassettes and compact discs, running a sort of parallel administration in the Gur Mandi and harbouring anti-social elements.

    Should we be?

    (a) Shocked.

    ( B) Surprised.

    © Angry.

    (d) Afraid.

    (e) or do nothing because we knew this was a plausibility.

    I would personally recommend:

    Dhol kuto ta ladoo bando.

  11. I would like for him to have some continuous so that he can carry on reading the board and we can explore some of his ideas (god knows what our indian sikh brothers with low internet presence think). This idea of Sikhs being Hindus came from the Hindutva, Aryan Samaj right wing groups. Who feel that once Sikhs denounce their uniqueness, it's only a matter of time until they denounce their different outer appearance and embrace mainstream Hinduism. Had Sikhi truly been felt to be identical then we would have gurdwaras filled with many Hindus listening to gurbani and enjoying it's bliss.

This idea seems to have been borrowed from Muhammdens who like to use Sikhi's similarities as a conveyor belt to convert and in both instances this has worked.

LOL your post reminds me of a time when one of my relatives took amrit and went to school. The teacher, whose husband was a prominent local level politician, kept on denouncing her choice to take amrit publicly stating that why take amrit and call yourself Sikh when the kachera comes from Hanuman. My relative went home, read a book of Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji, came back and asked her 'if the Kachera is from Hanuman than why do 80 million Hindus not take amrit?' The teacher left her well alone after that.

  12. Lolz a Brahmin mangal pander lead the war for independence and at the time , SIKH HELPED THE BRITISH - traitors!

Ur like a stray dog no home, no name nothing

If I remember correctly Hindu Poorbias, Bengalis, Marathas and Rajputs played a pretty profound role in de-establishing the Khalsa regime in Punjab. Maybe the notion payback is a admin cut will help you learn why we did not support some over hyped killing orgy.

On the other hand a few months after the fall of the Sikh empire, Bhai Maharaj Singh pushed for an united India to oust the British. There was no ineptitude, as spread by Jaswant Rao Holakr, to hold such a notion back but yet again your proud Hindus did not lift one finger to join him. Again payback is a admin cut.

  13. HSD1, we don't like e in cow shit we live in our nation our homes, u lot live in our shit! Infact beg to stay there instead of Pakistan see sikhs in Pakistan begging to come to India, Lolz

Sikhs got nothing .... Pick up the begging bowl fill it with donkey dung from the farms and wLk the streets of uk USA India begging

Sarcasm truly is lost on your bullshit psyche isn't it.

  14. If it was such a Hindu powerhouse why did Nehru give it away? He was secretly muslim? lol.

I know full well who were the two powers in Lahore back then. It sure as hell wasnt the Hindus.

    2. The highest contributor in tax is a Sikh. They pay far more in tax than any other subdivision. Check that reference above.

    3. Doesnt make up for the rest of you living in cow shit does it though?

    4. It's a directory. Like a phone book. It's not a census or a study. How thick are you?

    5. Indians are world renowned for their treatment of women. To pin it on Sikhs is laughable.

A god is female =/= sexual equality.

Schindler =/= Nazis are not mass murderers.

Badal =/= Sikhs are doing ok.

Obama =/= racial equality in the US.

    Get it thicko?

    6. Experts? Half a dozen witnesses? Interviewed by the British Propaganda Service? Your taking the mick.

300,000 readership? How many dozy Indians buy that crap? There are millions of Punjabis. Again phonebook =/= census. Got it?

Damn it HS, you just revealed a national secret. Nehru was a Muslim!!!! Gandhi was a Christian!!!! Everything else is all done by Pakistan and China. They just cannot tolerate Hindu unity.

  15. Lolz amarjeet just admitted Ambedkar said sikhs practice the exact same thing that he tried to use to bash Hindus over the head with ! Joker

Johnny is so confused and bewildered he's hanging on and saying paaji paaji to anyone who he thinks maybe taking his side! Lolz

Read back on the threads children you got destroyed!

Winners write history, Hindus of whatever background are a billion strong, with our own NATION, we don't need to beg the Brits for justice or anything else, we are on our way to becoming the fastest growing economic power in the world and every 5th person in the world is from our NATION, Bharat, Hindusthan, INDIA!

We talked history I just brought u up to speed with 2014!

Start playing catch up maybe u can build Khali isthan in Vancouver? Or Antartica you ain't getting it in Indian Punjab, where u will soon be a minority

Its ok if your delusion is increasing, again Ambedkar differentiated between Vedic thought and Gurmat. But of course because he was a dalit, you would probably say he had a grudge against Hindu Dharma and so vilified it. But..... it's ok, like Swami Prabhupada says; cow urine is a benefactory cure to a Hindu's tensions.

  16. Lolz u joker , u can't bear the truth from the primary source ie the Vedas or bhagvad Gita, which a normal historian or researcher would do instead you CHOOSE to read the book of so do d like Ambedkar who was anti HINDU, Lolz

Ps Ambedkar was anti sikh too, and said it was more caste ridden then Hinduism!

Read our holy boom quote the truth from there!

Ps no one reads ur long boring cut and pastes! Im pretty sure u do t either Lolz

No, no they stick to assertions made after a long dose of cow urine as prescribed by Vedic homoeopathy. I never denied any part on Ambedkar's anti-Sikh feelings but like I said he got to the bottom of the problem which commenced from Vedic despotism itself.
