  1. But what if they see this coming and decide to back off and just cut us off and see how long they can live without us? Okay, we'll be good for food, but what do we do about airspace and who gets Kashmir and all the other things?

To be honest getting Punjab free is just half the battle. What happens after is just as important. What kind of political parties would there be to vote for or would it be the same old same old? What role would religion play, seeing what a mess most of our institutions and general population are in? What would our relationship with the outside world be?

Half of the stuff we want to do in Khalistan could be done right now in Punjab, it's just that Sikhs in the diaspora arent keen on changing the status quo and the police/politicians there are too comfortable creaming off a living from those below them. Add to that how most East Punjabis are so desperate to do better for themselves or even survive in some cases that they will do anything to get ahead. Giving thousands of pounds to visa agencies to end up as a builder/prostitute in the West or paying dodgy talent agents to create music albums that no one will buy shows a people not really with it. If they had their own country, they would leave it the next day. Who could blame them? We in the West say a lot, but when it comes down to it it is just triumphalism of those who got here and look down on those still there.

Sant Jarnail Singh Ji used to say become Khalsa first (not saying you are not) but if we become Khalsa, others follow suite and then.....the entire creation is ours!!!

  2. Do we have a list of the lineage of Akal Takhat jathedars right uptill Gyani Gurbachan Singh Ji. And can anyone elaborate on why jathedari was snatched away from the Buhda dal and if it was returned to the Akalis once more, than would it specifically have to be given to a Budha Dal jathedar or can it be given to the jathedar of any other dal?

  3. I don't believe for one second that sri guru gobind singh ji did havan at Naina Devi, there was no need for guru avtari pursh to do havan to invoke shakti etc, they were highest sargun avtar saroop of akaal purkh even for hari avtar saroop of sri akaal purkh such as ram chandar ji or sri krishan ji most likely didn't do any havan themselves to invoke naina devi, shakti or anything, lets just say even if they did, they probably did so to maintain yug dharam maryada in their respective yugas..fast fwd to kalyug or current yug yudh dharam maryada- Naam abhyas, sri dasam granth yudh compositions such as chandi di var, chandi charitar, shastar naam mala etc banis along with Kshatriya tradition like chatka- shastar puja trumps havan, hom at naina devi/kali devi etc. Sikh shouldn't wrap their head around too many rituals but rather concentrate on tat gyan teachings of gurbani and sri dasam granth sahib yudh banis.

Listen to Gyani Inderjjet Singh Ji's katha. He extensively mentions devi did not appear but aad-shakti. Some aspects in history are metaphorical others are not. Baba Jagjeet Singh Ji Harkhowal wale also concurs though he does not explicitly adopt Gyani Ji's mode of thought. He mentions add-shakti though in the form of a sword manifesting.

  4. Dalsingh, the term is Sundeh, which means an ox, a portion which is missed out of Bhai Vir Singhs Panth Parkash and the Panth Parkash of Baba Santa Singh is the Havan which the khalsa did prior to the battle with Ahmed Shah Abdali. Baba Santa Singh accepted that this did happen, however for some reason it isnt included within their steek.

The same is said on Gyani Gian Singh's Panth Prakash. Yet some eminent personalities, like Baba Jagjeet Singh Harkhowal Wale, hold it to be a havan of the mind.

  5. I wouldn't call it sargun bhagti as it wasn't meant for a daily thing but was probably used by singhs prior to going to battle field - seeking blessing/power of shaheed singhs- sikh equivalent to demi gods (devi/devtas).

Indeed, its an well known fact acknowledged by taksali that jot during sri akhand patt sahib attracts shaheed singhs and shaheed singhs/demi gods comes during patt to listen and give its blessing- given the fact if sri akhand patt sahib is performed with full vidhi.

Are there any official citations for that? I have seen jot being lit many times myself but never understood the purpose beyond it.

  6. while reading the manglacharan website i came across this passage which says Baba Deep Singh Ji did havan can anyone tell me if this is right or im not understanding this passage.

Naveen Panth Prakash, written by Giani Gian Singh in 1880 AD about the story of Baba Deep Singh.

Baba Ji organized an Akhand Paat and completed a Havan [before heading towards the battle] and tied a wedding bracelet around his wrist [a preparation for martyrdom as death is seen as a merging with their beloved Lord]

Gyani Gian Singh was also heavily criticized by Gyani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale. Look through Bhinda mahapurakh's works to see if you can find any analysation of Giani Gian Singh and see why he was criticized. Maybe that will answer your question.

  7. Exactly i asked sant ji this question, he mentioned this as well- havan of mind is biggest havan where you put your thoughts as samagri in havan and with fire of bhramgyan burned them into ashes.

    Vahiguroo..!!! :D

There are many plausible reasons why I give this statement of Baba Ji's credence. Not least being that Baba Deep Singh was a true Gurmukh. Another being the query that is Havan even part of Sargun Bhagti?

  8. there is some tapes by baba santa singh ji on one of the nihang sites. i will find the site and put up the link

Ok thank u veer ji. I just want to clarify the below passage:

The Guru had instructed him to demolish the whole city,
And raze it to dust after thoroughly ransacking it. (5)
Sortha : Banda Singh had forgotten the mandate of the Guru,
With which he had been sent by the Guru.
He had to bear the consequences for his disobedience.
For preserving the cursed city of Sirhind. (6)
While Banda Singh preserved the city of Sirhind,
He collected a ransom from its residents.
While the Hindus were given various positions in administration,
The Muslims managed to save their lives by hiding themselves. (7)
Dohra : S. Baaj Singh (the custodian of Sirhind), used to mount his horse,
After putting his foot on a Muslim’s head for a stepladder.
He ordered all the Muslim population to be exiled,
From the entire territory of fifty-two villages of Sirhind. (8)
He got the entire Sirhind province liberated in a moment,
Which had a human population of thirty six lacs.
Then Banda Singh assembled the Khalsa forces and instructed them,
That they should rob and kill all the Muslims. (9)
  9. Somethings r ok ..some just exaggerated ...specially the one abt Devi...he goes to the conclusion that devi is the slave of Guru Gobindsingh ji ..he is full of anti hindu zeal thats what i can conclude ..he still is to understand the concept of Shakti in Khalsa

Not making any anti-Hindu, anti-Sikh comment but it does show depth. Hes getting there slowly. We just cannot label him as an anti-Hindu Zealot straight away.

  10. An interesting article regarding the shift from a spiritual tradition to a more secular tradition involving itself in established and systematic trade, tax collection and state aspirations can be read here:

    http://www.islam-sikhism.info/hist/rebel01.htm

The website itself is BS and laughable but there are some interesting articles amongst the trash.

I like the way that despite the guy who runs it thinking he is "de-bunking Sikhi" hes just making it more and more easier for Sikhs to find out the truth straight from his own articles.
