even if this is accepted as the truth, the fact is that the Dharma of kalyug is Gurmat, we are the true Hindus. So if the Hindu Dharma prevails, we know that Guru Sahib is talking about the Sikh panth, and not Sher's gang.

just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it false/wrong. You sound like you have learned everything there is to know in Sikhi.

This is the 3rd sensible post you have written in all the time and posts you have made here. Why do you shower us with shite, when you can actually write some sensible posts as above?

Neo from what I have seen on Sikhsangat there are times when you support Khalistan than you get excited and go against it. What's got you so riled up now?

  2. Akali-Nihung Baba Bali Singh Ji is one of the most famed members of the Tarna Dal Nihung Singhs, and leads a reclusive lifestyle. He resides in a straw residence and is extensively knowledgeable on many aspects of the Khalsa tradition. Here he talks about the Khalsa Raaj, Akal-Takhat, Taksalis painting themselves to be the only panthic entity etc. among many other things.

  3. I would say that the Gadari Movement was not religion-based. However, the overwhelming majority of the members were Sikh. In addition, the Sikhs of the Gadari-era were not the Sikhs of today. They did not believe in a black-white definition of Sikhi as the neo-tat khalsas of today do.

The Gadarites were not ultimately concerned about religion. Ironically when most of them travelled back to the Punjab they started relying heavily on exploitation and looting to just stay alive. They found that the 'fantasia' of an independent India, painted for them, was far from real. Especially concerning the deadly mix of politics and religion. Kuldeep Nayar in 'Without Fear' cites a poem by a Gadarite stating how religion is India's bane.

  4. Those weren't martyrs, they were Purabiyas foreigners who had invaded the Punjab with the British in 1845. When they revolted at Mian Mir cantonment in 1857 and attempted to escape to Delhi, the local population helped the British to round them up and in the process they were killed. What did you expect the Punjabis to do when they had suffered from the taunts and humiliation of these Purabiyas. So when they got the chance to take revenge they took it.

It is a good thing that their bones have been taken from the ground which they have polluted for the last 150 years.

The Poorbias played an important role in the Anglo-Sikh Wars. Even in the mutiny Bahadur Shah easily tired of their despicable acts and attitude.

Ugardanti is not stating khalsa will be destroying puranas or vedas, obviously that would be self destructive against gurbani itself where gurbani supporting vedas and puranas gyan sidhant ie- akaal usta/t as far as mool sidhant is concerned but rather kaal- maha kaal will destroy everything in non dualistic sense- disappear back in mahakaal- destruction has many layers of interpretations not just physical but mental perceptions ns-read parloa, maha parloa, gyan parloa explanation by sant gurbachan singh bhindranwale in 21st astpahadi.

Oh come one we all know where their root arises from.

  6. In this tomb lies the body of the man that poisoned relations between communities perhaps forever. There lies the body of the man that committed so much crimes during his day that its beyond comprehension. The tomb lies in the deep south where Aurangzeb spent the last 30 years of his life fighting the marathas. Based on his last days Aurangzeb was extremely repentent of the crimes he committed. Only God knows...

The last words of Aurangzeb, addressed to his sons from death-bed, echo mournfully :

“I came a stranger to this world and a stranger I depart.

I know nothing of myself – what I am and what I was destined for.

“My back is bent with weakness and my feet have lost the power of motion.

The breath which rose is gone and has not left behind even a ray of hope.

“The agonies of death come upon me fast.

My vessel is launched upon the waves !

That pathetic Islam-Sikhism site promotes him to be the greatest man alive. Someone who didn't demolish any temples etc. Johnny's got a valid point.

  7. The translation on Manglacharan website says Guru Sahib praised Devi. I have read another thread between someone named navjot and many other users about this. It is a controversial matter and I am sure that many people here dont want to restart the conversation. However, I think that the thread I mentioned, failed to give me an objective and final answer to this dilemma. Do people believe the Uggardanti and Bansavalinama to be valid in terms of its claims and content?

God in a feminine form son.

  8. Sat Sri Akal Everyone,

Could someone please tell me about Uggardanti and Bansavalinama?

    Thank You

    SatnaamJi

Uggardanti is one of the Gupt Dasam Banis written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It praises the lord in a feminine form, and figuratively describes his warrior and maternal qualities (of course there is that MEMBER who will fight you tooth and claw to prove otherwise). The BANSAVALINAMA is the work of Kesar Singh Chibber, one of the court poets of the tenth Guru. It is a genealogical account of the ten Gurus lives and also provides an exegesis of the Uggardanti. For more info tisarpanth on fb, the blog and the Sikh-Reality Blogspots are good places.

  9. Is the movie any good?

From what I hear and see they do make subtle references to 1984. Other than that Sunny Deol is one of those 'had it' guys who still manage to pull quick, sharp surprises from their sleeves. The film is good up to a certain extent. Other than that it's the usual Indian failure. Skirts, shampoos, shoes, stars and a villain who loves his repetitions. Other than that Deol does shine, the action is believable, he does blow his lungs out shouting but in the end to be honest the film has extra bits which let it down extensively. They did make back their budget apparently, but the distributors suffered heavy losses. Sunny Deol's fan base in North India, the USA and Canada saved it from turning it into a critical disaster like his terrible run in 2006.

I would personally give it 4 stars. Three because you can see Sunny Deol makes an effort, and one for mentioning my bakra. To be honest Sonu Nigam is a terrible singer.

  10. Its so sad we are so weak now.

People listen to these idiots because they always go against the status quo. At one time even Ghagga was a big votary of the Dasam Granth. But seeing how DAL KHALSA UK, India and other entities play a divide and rule game so do they. Ghagga and Dhunda are both the self-styled messiah's of the panth.

  11. Jonny101, it has already happened. A lot of Ravidasias around the world including in the UK (!) have converted to Christianity and Buddhism. And why is that? It's not because they suddenly after 20-30-40 years of being Sikhs suddenly found the light in Jesus Christ and Christianity, but because our so-called Sikhs including the Amritdharis have been looking down on them, calling them low caste, chamar, saying they clean toilets, don't want to marry them etc. No wonder why they have created their own religion, their own holy book, own temples etc. And look how many they are.

The other problem is the way apne log look at Ravidasia and it's the exact same way Hitler told the people about jews, that jews have long noses, they are greedy, they are like this and that. How many of us haven't heard "chamar idha de hunde..", if you wear a bright colour suit people will say "you look like a chamar", is someone is eating too much people will say he's a chamar because he's greedy and eating too much. Read about Ambedkar and why he didn't convert to Sikhi.

Like DalSingh said earlier I'm also very surprised of reading posts here like there's nothing wrong with being proud of your background, goat etc. One thing is that a lot of our parents aren't educated, they don't know better they are teaching us what they were taught. But people who grew up outside Punjab, studied here and learned about Sikhi and are still into caste, that is shocking to me.

Singh123456777, there is something wrong with calling yourself x caste or y caste. First of all how on earth can people refer to themselves as something their forefathers did hundreds of years ago?! It doesn't make sense to me at all. If my great grandfather was a carpenter and today I'm a nurse, how the hell can I call myself a carpenter?!!

I don't understand why people refer to themselves as this and that when they don't even do that for a living.

There's a caste bimari here in the UK and I don't think we'll ever get rid of it.

Even though you'll meet many people saying we don't believe in caste, everyone is equal. When it comes to marriage odo sareyaan nu yaad aunda and then sudenly they only wanna marry into a specific caste and forget about Rehat, Sikhi and what Guru Gobind Singh Jee said.

I am proud of my goat. Feed it everyday as well.

  12. Johnny veera if he saying he is going to preach only to the hindus he is lying ..if you see the number of churches coming up in Punjab you will be surprised ...the christian missionaries call it crusades ..which is equivalent to dharamyudh ..a holy war ..

Not being a radical, but apparently the most alcohol consumed in the world is by the Vatican.

  13. Sat Sri Akal Everyone

I was thinking of coming up with a list of individuals that have supported our Causes and claims and cannot be labelled as "Separatist" or "Terrorist" or "Biased" by dominant media outlets. This list should focus on people that shatter the media's propagated myth of "Sikh Terrorists". I will list a few that I am well aware of. Please contribute to this list and lets try to physically help these individuals in their endeavours:

    Dr. Vandana Shiva

    Col. GS Sandhu

    Lt. Gen. Sinha

    Jaswant S. Khalra

    Shashi Kant, Former DGP

    Arvind Kejriwal

    Jagmeet Singh, MPP, Canada

Anyone else who helps us remove the stigma erroneously placed on our community?

    A.R. Darshi.

    Dr. Subraniam Swami.

    Dinesh Sood.
