After the 93 year old man (a Grand-pa) in Italy survived the COVID-19,
Hospital told him, to pay for the ventilator for one day, the old man cried.
The doctor pleaded him for not to cry over the bill.

What the old man said made all the doctors cry.

    Grandpa said,
"I don't cry because of the money I have to pay. I can pay all the money."
I cry because I have been breathing God's air for 93 years,
but I never paid for it.

It takes Eu100.- to use a ventilator in a hospital for one day.
Do you know how much I owe God?
I did not thank God even once for that before. "

The truth of the news can't be verified, but grandpa's words are worth our reflection.
When we breathe the air freely without pain or illness, no one takes the air seriously.
Only when we enter the hospital can we know
that even breathing oxygen with a ventilator costs money!

Cherish the time when we can breathe freely!

If anyone does bachan with Abhyasi(s), how much bhagti did they do to get darshan of a Sachkhandvasi Brahmgyani. In reality, is it extremely difficult or moderately difficult?

    Brother,

It is not the amount of bhakti of anyone which can ever enable anyone to be worthy to have Their darshan, though that also purifiy us, and undoubtedly pleases Waheguru as seen in the Bani,  but it is only by Their beant kirpa that they reveal themselves to that wadbhagee jeev who selflessly and full heartedly, with utter love and devotion engages himself / herself in doing that correct bhakti.

All our efforts are like 0, but even that 0 has to be written by us on the slate, and then They as being the embodiment of all mercy, they just put  the 1(one) in front of our 0(zero), thus convert that 0  into 10 out of 10.

We all have heavy karmic load, so unless they extend their arm and pull us out, there is not much we can do.

Though as beggars, we should never leave their door, and keep up the knocking, for He the owner of His house, knows when to open the door and is willing to open it, but alas, there is hardly anybody doing the knocking, for all are busy with the manmat practices as seen mostly.

The bhakti which pleases Them/ Him, and draws us closer to Them, is the one of meditating upon His saacha Nao.

    The Bani beautifully tells us:

    DARSHAN PAAVA JHE TUDH BHAVAA.

So in short, the secret to have Their darshan, is to please Them, with Nam bhakti.

    Stay blessed.

    SOME INSPIRITATIONAL STUFF

Look around today and you will see everyone in a desperate and helpless situation. In a few weeks time everything has changed around us and we have returned to our some old habits.

Sitting at home, avoiding going out, spending wisely and even being more concerned about our loved ones.

How true are the Mahapurukhs  words when they say this world is not our true home but a exit from the cycle of births and deaths.

This is our opportunity to make the most of the human birth and its purpose.

In today's time while most of us are caged in our homes we can only use our time wisely to put into practice Gurmat.

How can we not complain today that I don't have time! Time has become our gift of today, we have slowed and stopped all other activities.

So its Gods way of saying, "Let go and let be." Everything happens for a reason and we cannot understand with our limited perspective of today's situation around the globe.

It's His creation, His ways and His will.

All we can do is to accept and live in His will. Today our finances, work, power or even fame cannot help us..so what is the use?

Does it bring happiness to us if we cannot do anything?

How fools we were to think that we are something...

    We are Nothing!

All we can do is surrender ourselves, and only humility is the result of self surrender.

It happens automatically when you come into the presence of divine love; you suddenly realise that you are nothing.

When we give to  Guru Jee our "whole self" we are left only with His love...

And that love fills our emptiness through His simran.  The more Simran  we do,  the more love grows, and with our effort, true effort, grace flows.

Let us be His devoted gursikhs,  by  meditating upon His Nao as repeated throughout  and continoussly in the Gurbani.

Our  Father Waheguru Akal Purukh is always with us.

If we  live, move and have our being in Him . He is always helping  in every kind of task that we perform.

The nearer we come to Him, the more fully we will feel His presence and realize His help.

As love for Him increases in us, we will get a deeper and deeper realization of His presence within  ourselves

And another family member added that we should pray for them to get ' su matt'

What are the views - if possible panktis from SGGS - of sangat here on this??

    Brother,

in Kalyuga it is just but natural negativity and duality to an extent.

In simple words, I would say negativity is darkness, is ignorance, which can not be dispeled just by itself.

There are 2 ways, to get closer to the Eternal pool of goodness and benevolence,  the formless Waheguru Akal Purukh.

One is His Nao, by its simran, we make place for Him within us, thus we get imbued with His virtues and get filled with His Jot.

Secondly is the importance of saadh sangat, because there we get reminded of Him, waves of love arise within us  to devote ourselves at His Lotus Feet.

The objective of both the steps above, is only and only to get closer and closer to Him, shed our impurities and ultimately merge in Him.

That is His apaar kirpa and bakshish.

Yes it is a meme of Corona virus.

And you query of my whereabout, well bro, I am in the same boat as rest of the world, which means cofined at home, which is necessary for one's security, as well as for our family members at home.

We need a lot of patience and mentalization to go through this difficult phase, which by His grace shall hopefully pass away too.

    Hope you are fine also.

I think we should differentiate between having a desire for someone else's women, and having a desire for your own spouse. To equate the two is a big error in my opinion.

Thing with marriage is that it is a two way thing. It's all well and good if one side wants to be a celibate, but what if the other half doesn't? Is it fair to spring such majorly life changing things on another unexpected?

Plus, bhai ji, since I read DG and learnt that Ramchandar Ji may have started the conflict by chopping off Ravan's sister's nose, when she flirted with him, I've always been a bit reserved on perceiving Ravan as some 'bad guy' in some binary style conception i.e. Ramchandar = Good; Ravan = Bad.

I agree that kaam vaasna is one of the strongest (if not thee strongest!) vikaars though.

    SSA Bro,

when I mentioned Ravan's example, my point was not only of desiring others wives/spouses, but that of in spite of acquiring so many powers due to his intense jap/tap/....had so much gyan, yet he could not overcome his vikars, especially "kaam" and ahankar.

You see, there is a big difference between becoming celibate and celibate...

It is by His apaar kirpa, that one reaches that state of celibacy by attaching oneself to Nam within.

Though there is not much to worry about, for when one looks at the embodiment of the highest purity and eternal Truth, in the form of our Guru Sahiban for example, they too had children, but that does not mean they had any vikars, least to say about  kaam, plus that much be added of which we ordinary humans maybe are not aware that those wadbhagee souls who reach that level of higher conciousness, work or act, accordingly to the laws of Nature, they never do anything against that law.

It is only from our level, our side, that we have doubts, because we are very low.

Plus, when one approaches Waheguru with true love and true devotion, He will take care of all his/her needs or envoirments such as family settlements....plus that high spiritual state is out of any ordinary or intellectual mental state.

Bhakti is not a path of words nor speculation, but of applying oneself to that desired spiritual practice.

And about Ram being good or Ravan bad, I am not going to enter into any controversies, let everyone decide for himself or herself, and have their own conclusions, though that much I will surely say, look it from a higher and wider perspective.

It  is said that  Ravan was a watchman at Vishnu's darbar, so once some brahmins or sages wanted to enter and meet Vishnu.

As they were not allowed to enter, so they cursed that watchman to be born as rakshash in several births. Then Vishnu came and told him that once the curse is given, it can not be taken back, but as he was just doing his duty, thus in each birth of his, He himself would come to deliver or rescue him. That is why he came as Krishna, as Ram, as Narsing...etc.

For when that deity comes to deliver you from life, you are to go to his abode, in this case, of lord Vishnu.

I don't know how much truth is in it, but from all theories it makes sense to me, at least.

This was something I read quite long long ago from some hindu religious book, so don't take each word as exact, but as a pointer to that scene.

  10. How to become celibate when married ?

To answer this question, let us first see what is to become a  celibate.

Celibate at its peak, is the absence of kaam vaasna. And we all know kaam, is one of the 5 chor, probably the most dreadful of all the vices, it has dragged down big rishis and munis, it affects also the residents of the astral and causal planes.

Ravan, who was such a gyani, he had overpowered the gods ,  strong devotee of Lord Shiva, he was full of  supernatural powers, and also filled from toes to head with all the 5 vikars, thus impure minded.

Among all his vikars, it is seen that his kaam vaasna,  by desiring to possess someone´s else wife, was the reason for his downfall, he died like a mad dog...

Nature is wise, when gods even could not defeat him, it was this very vaasna, which dragged him to the muds.

To commit (adultery)sin with someone´s wife, or woman apart from one´s wife is the biggest sin that one can commit.  And the punishment for it heavy also, is like voluntarily jumping into fire to burn into ashes.

To try to overcome it by any means, is as good as impossible.

Except  when one is showered with His apaar kirpa, and one attaches  himself/herself  with Nam within.

For as the Bani says: Prabh ka simran, mun kee mael jaae.

If there was any other way, Guru Jee would sure let us know, but He constantly throughout  the Bani, tells us to join our surtee with Nam, through His simran.

There where Nam is,  there is no kaam, nor any other chor.

There where shines the absence of Nam, kaam and all vices fall as heavy chains on the  jeeva.

Nam is the liberator from all sins, from all negative tendencies, stops for once and ever the unending cycle of births and deaths, and finally,  purifies us to the extent, that we merge and become one with Waheguru Akal Purukh.

The thing is, to attach oneself to Nam, is not in the hands of anyone.

It is not like saying, I feel like having a cup of tea, so goes to the kitchen and makes a cup of it.

Rather, it is only by His apaar kirpa, that one practices Nam bhakti.

In that respect, the following beautiful verse from the Bani is crystal clear

naanak har jee ma-i-aa kar sabad savaaranhaar.
O Nanak, when the Dear Lord shows kindness, He adorns His bride with the Word of His Shabad.

    Stay blessed.

  11. Great message from Bill Gates.
Subject:   Bill Gate's views on the CVirus....Brilliant.

What is the Corona/ Covid-19 Virus Really Teaching us?

I’m a strong believer that there is a spiritual purpose behind everything that happens, whether that is what we perceive as being good or being bad.
As I meditate upon this, I want to share with you what I feel the Corona/ Covid-19 virus is really doing to us:
    -       It is reminding us that we are all equal, regardless of our culture, religion, occupation, financial situation or how famous we are. This disease treats us all equally, perhaps we should to. If you don’t believe me,
     just ask Tom Hanks.
    -       It is reminding us that we are all connected and something that affects one person has an effect on another. It is reminding us that the false borders that we have put up have little value as this virus does not need
a passport. It is reminding us, by oppressing us for a short time, of those in this world whose whole life is spent in oppression.
    -       It is reminding us of how precious our health is and how we have moved to neglect it through eating nutrient poor manufactured food and drinking water that is contaminated with chemicals
upon chemicals. If we don’t look after our health, we will, of course, get sick.
    -       It is reminding us of the shortness of life and of what is most important for us to do, which is to help each other, especially those who are old or sick. Our purpose
is not to buy toilet roll.
    -       It is reminding us of how materialistic our society has become and how, when in times of difficulty, we remember that it’s the essentials that we need (food, water, medicine)
as opposed to the luxuries that we sometimes unnecessarily give value to.
    -       It is reminding us of how important our family and home life is and how much we have neglected this. It is forcing us back into our houses so we can rebuild them into our home and
     to strengthen our family unit.
    -       It is reminding us that our true work is not our job, that is what we do, not what we were created to do.
Our true work is to look after each other, to protect each other and to be of benefit to one another.
    -       It is reminding us to keep our egos in check. It is reminding us that no matter how great we think we are or how great others think we are,
a virus can bring our world to a standstill.
    -       It is reminding us that the power of freewill is in our hands. We can choose to cooperate and help each other, to share, to give, to help and to support each other or we can choose to be selfish, to hoard, to look after
only our self. Indeed, it is difficulties that bring out our true colors.
    -       It is reminding us that we can be patient, or we can panic. We can either understand that this type of situation has happened many times before in history and will pass, or we can panic and see it as the end of the
world and, consequently, cause ourselves more harm than good.
    -       It is reminding us that this can either be an end or a new beginning. This can be a time of reflection and understanding, where we learn from our mistakes, or it can be the start of a cycle which will continue until
we finally learn the lesson we are meant to.
    -       It is reminding us that this Earth is sick. It is reminding us that we need to look at the rate of deforestation just as urgently as we look at the speed at which toilet rolls are disappearing off of shelves. We are
sick because our home is sick.
    -       It is reminding us that after every difficulty, there is always ease. Life is cyclical, and this is just a phase in this great cycle. We do not need to panic; this too shall pass.
Whereas many see the Corona/ Covid-19 virus as a great disaster, I prefer to see it as a great corrector. It is sent to remind us of the important lessons that we seem to have forgotten and it is up to us if we will learn them
     or not.

No number holds more esoteric significance than “33.” The number three is significant in all major religions. There is a Trinity for Christians, and a Triple Goddess for the ancients. The number 33 was important to secret societies and is often concealed within significant literary works...At the Vatican there are 32 archways on each side of the courtyard with a giant obelisk in the middle. The Pope’s cassock has 32 buttons and his head represents the 33rd. The United Nations flag shows the globe divided into 33 sections encircled by olive branches.  The flag also happens to be blue just like the first 3 “blue degrees” of Masonry. 33 is the highest degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry...The first Temple of Solomon stood for 33 years before being pillaged. Jesus was crucified by the Roman government and died for 3 days at age 33...In astrology, the sun officially transitions into a new sign of the zodiac at the 33rd degree (a concept well-known long before Christianity). In the Bible, God corresponds to 1/3 (33.3%) as seen in Revelation 12 (1+2=3), where the great red dragon is sweeping 1/3 of the stars from heaven. The human foot has 33 joints. The human spine has 33 vertebrae. The number of turns in a complete sequence of human DNA equals 33. https://www.dtss.us/blog/everything-changes-at-33-numerology-occult-symbolism/

“In Spiritual Numerology, ’33’ symbolizes the highest spiritual conscious attainable by the human being.”-Elizabeth van Buren, “The Secret of the Illuminati” (161-2)

In Gurmat, pure spirituality,  what really counts and matters is Ik, means One.

Sree Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj says right from the begining in the Bani:  Ik Oankar Satnam- Gurparsad Jap.

In this one single verse, the whole tons of all holy scriptures, is summarized the essence of spiritualty at its highest peak in simple words, and direct to the point.

What really counts is that One Supreme Universal eternal and changeles Truth, namely Waheguru Akal Purukh.

If we look at numbers like, 3, 33, etc ....we get confused and lost in variety,  but if we look and fous on  One,  only Waheguru and His Nao, we get true freedom from maya and the wheel of 84, thus return and merge in our origin, Waheguru.

Countless millions of rays emerge in the early hours from the  One Sun, all carrying the same warmth and light, irrespective on where they fall upon, so are the souls who emerge from Him, but due to duality and all mayavee forms including trinities and their spouses or energies, gods and godesses, all are tightly trapped in the endless wheel of 84.

EKAS(WAHEGURU AKAL PURUKH) BIN   SABH DANDH HAE

It is only by following Gurbani, that we get to know, love and hold on His Lotus feet, through Nam bhakti.

As the Bani says: Ik Oankar Satnam- Gurparsad Jap.

There is only One creator lord Satnam, who is realized not by any other practices, rituals, ceremonies, austerities, pilgrimages, pujas, paaths, prayers, rosaries, offerings,  etc etc  etc..... but by the jap of the parsad given by Guru, Waheguru.

For us as sikhs, only One, Waheguru counts, and the bhakti we offer at His Feet matters, rest is all maya, all fanah, howsoever fascinating it may appear to be.

Nanak Nam jahaz hae, jinee chareeya se utareeya paar.

The teachings of Gurbani,  deal only with praises and  unconditional love for Waheguru  and  His real form of Nam  or Shabad, though it mentions many other things and beings just as complimentary information of His creation, but to give devotion to the only One Waheguru Akal Purukh.

Vin Naavai Hor Dhhan Naahee   Hor Bikhiaa Sabh Shhaaraa

Without Nam, there is no other wealth. Everything else is just poison and ashes.

Raag Maajh, Sree Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj

    Sat Sree Akal.
