Truth behind Anti Sardar Ji jokes

these jokes are made by shararati Hindus who like to make fun of Sikhs by creating these sardar ji and santa-banta jokes. It's one thing when someone else laughs at you but it's a tragedy when you laugh at yourself. Have some pride for God sake.

I don't understand the problem when lot many people have problem accepting the existence of negative force (which is still under God); when we can accept the existence of Brahma/Vishnu/Shiva but why can't accept the creator of these deities.

I think the problem is not acceptance but difference of interpretation. What some traditions view as an entity that makes you do bad things traditionally the Dharma religions associated with coming under the influence of Kaam-Krodh-Lobh-Moh-Hankaar emotions. Or maybe Kaal/Shaytaan/Iblis entity does exist since God's creation is huge and there are many seen/unseen forces behind the curtain of illusion performing their duties.

It's interesting to see the differences in Bijak of Kabir and Kabir Bani in Guru Granth Sahib Jee. The Bijak mentions a negative entity called Kaal while Bani of Kabir in the Sikh tradition does not. I wonder what other differences are there. It would be nice to see a comparative study done on the two works of Kabir.

Kaal is the Time OR Death OR The creator of the cycle of karma OR The creator of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiv ji OR the creator of Vedas.

In Akal Ustat, Guru Ji has mentioned "Sarb Kaal" or "Maha Kaal" which means The creator of Kaal/Time/Death. In other words, the True creator is the Sarb-Kaal who even created the Kaal/Time. That's why it is said that: "EK Onkar".

So what is Kaal according to Bijak of Kabir? You said in one of your posts it is Mind? I have Radhasoami relatives and according to them Kaal is a negative alternative power to God which makes humans do bad things like how Abrahamic religions view Devil/Satan/Iblis. Is that how Bijak of Kabir also views this?

At first I used to think it is wrong Mahapursh driving in cars. But then I thought during the olden times the horse was the best mode of transportation and Mahapursh rode on those. Today it is cars, and if everyone else is riding in them why not Mahapursh. Problem is until 15 years ago a car was considered a luxury item, but today cars are so common in Punjab that it is increasingly being considered a necessity. Yet some Shankavadi type people think it is still wrong for Sants having cars even though the people raising objections themselves probably drive around in cars. If one thinks they should not go around in cars, then they should be the first ones to give up their cars. Gurmat teaches us to lead by example.

Maybe for the sake of not giving a chance to Shankavadi types to raise their eye brow, it would be better for the Mahapursh to drive jeeps or ordinary cars. I like how a small group of Nihangs in India drive in Jeeps. It looks very martial, and can be well suited for Sants too who travel with with followers.

In this song he does acting of a mast Sufi Darvesh and promotes Islam, Christianity, Hinduism but absolutely no hint of Sikhi anywhere in this video.

I stay wary of Sikh singers who promote Islam in the garb of "Sufism". He could have very easily also promoted the mystical side of Sikhi in his videos but he chooses not to.

Antreev Arth can only be derived by Brahmgiani Mahapursh since their spiritual level is at that point. One should not attempt at doing Antreev Arth on their own if they have not reached that spiritual state. Until then it is best to listen to arths done in the Katha of Mahapursh like Sant Gurbachan Singh Bhindranwale and others who have gained high level of spiritual wisdom.

but how do you reconcile the fact that the founder of your new religion allowed rape(of Banu Mustaliq tribe), consummated a marriage with a 9 year old child which is pedophilia, beheaded prisoners of war(banu Quraiza tribe), even allowed torture, killed an old woman poet who had criticized him? I'm not trying to criticizing you, but I just want to understand the psychology of why a normal person would willingly convert to a religion whose founder committed all these crimes while the Sikh Gurus committed no such crime.

Thanks for these quotes. Anyway, I think we have become distracted from the topic at hand. Love Jihad is very real amongst the South Asian community. It is happening where ever South Asians live. Usually the girls who are targeted are confused girls suffering from low self esteem or who have family problems at home. Otherwise why would someone in their right mind abandon Sikhi for any of the Abrahamic religions. GtLoc Jee, your whole thinking is wrong on this matter. Jats have nothing to do with our liberation. It was only Guru Jee's blessing that he gave us the Bal to fight off the invader. Where were our Jats before coming to the Sharan of Guru Gobind Singh Jee? That's right, Jats were slaves of the Muslims. That's why most of the Jats of Punjab are Muslims in west Punjab.

Guru Gobind Singh Jee was unlike anyone else in the history of India. He united Brahmins, Khatris, Tarkhans, Jats, Churas, Rajputs etc into one Panth. All took Amrit togather in 1699. All fought together in Chamkaur and later under Sikh leader Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. Singhs of olden times lived in great difficulty and persecution but their faith in Sikhi was unshakable and strong as a mountain. They saw their entire families and friends wiped out in genocides but they fought on getting constant strength from Gurbani. They believed in Gurbani where it said Tera Bhaana Meetha Lagai. Eventually Guru Jee blessed the Sikhs with Raaj over Punjab.

Now we have become slaves again because we have abandoned Sikhi and adopted western and Hindu concepts such as becoming Patits, believing in caste, becoming promiscuous, becoming believers in Nakli Gurus. Even now, all Sikhs need to do is strenthen their Shardha, Rehit and increase their Bhagti and even now Guru Jee will bless us with Raaj. No Taakat in this world is strong in enough to stand in the way of the Khalsa if only the Sikhs again become as pure believers in Sikhi as puraatan Singhs were.

Daulat Rai was right for the fact that Hindus(and India) was enslaved by the Muslims because Hindus were too divided amongst different sects, castes, Gods, scriptures. Muslims had unity of their faith. They believed in one God, one Koran and one Ummah. In Punjab at least it took the Sikhs who were also similarly united in the belief in One God, One Guru Granth Sahib and One United Panth against an external enemy. When Muslims would declare their Jihad, Sikhs in turn would declare a Dharm Yudh. Their Ghazis were no match for the Sant Sipahi Khalsa Sikhs. Muslims had finally met their match in every way.

Even now, Hindus of India should embrace Sikhi. It is in the best interest of India and will make India stronger

Haha, Sikhs are nothing like Punjabi Muslims or Punjabi Hindus who took a beating from every invader from the North West. Half of the Punjabi Hindu population converted to Islam out of fear while the remaining preferred to live as Dimmis. It's only about saying the truth even if it is harsh, I don't consider muhammad to be better then me if he was I would be in jail right now. Akal purkh himself revealed to Guru Gobind Singh, muhammad was arrogant.

Jathadar Jee we are not at the level of Guru Jee that we can judge the Avtars and Prophets. Bani says, Bhulan Andar Sabh Ko, Abhul Guru Kartar(everyone is fallible, only Guru and Vaheguru are infallible). Raam, Krishan, Mohammad were men all sent by Vahiguru. They were not perfect as we know from their biographies. But a lot of fellow humans follow them and love them very much. We can at least not disrespect them like you did in your post that the mods edited. It is not the Gursikh thing to do. Say if I have a friend, and I don't like his parents, I'm not going to insult and disrespect his parents right to his face and break his heart because that would be very mean. There is level of decency one should maintain even when debating religious matters with people of other faiths.

I remeber Bhai Mehtab Singh Jee of Sikh Sangat once mentioned that there are two ways of saying the same thing:

You can say:

1. Tuhade Pita Jee

2. Teri Maa Daa Khasam

Now both mean the same thing. But #1. is respectful while #2. is very disrespectful and probably would get you a black eye for it.
