  1. badals or any other akali CANNOT become punjab without the support of BJP. last term they got such mauling but became Punjab CM only because BJP did so well. both communal parties have got the winning formula.

It's interesting to note how badly mauled the BJP was in the recent elections. While Akalis gained even more seats than last time, the congress(Sikh dominated!) lost only a few seats, but the BJP lost almost 1/3 of their seats during the elections.

Even now the BJP of Punjab cannot digest the popularity of Sidhu(who I don't like) the MP of Amritsar. But due to him being a Sikh, the Punjabi Hindu leadership of Punjab BJP is hell bent on removing him from their party. This behavior of the Punjabi Hindus has even puzzled the main body of the BJP leadership in the center which likes Sidhu since Sidhu is the most popular leader the Punjab BJP has. But communalist Punjab Hindus are afriad of letting Punjab BJP being eventually becoming Sikh dominated as the once Hindu dominated Punjab Pradesh Congress has become.

  2. Sher being a communalist Hindu, always sees things along casteist lines like his rant against the rural peasantry and more specifically the Jats who now have power due to their large demographic share in Punjab and Haryana. He expects that even in a democacy in a place like Punjab his Manu Casteist hierarchy will be observed where the urban Hindus who even though being a minority should be ruling politically.

Now that His people are enjoying freedom after 1000 years of humiliating slavery, he has all of a sudden become an enemy of the Akal Takht. He has forgotten the history of how a helpless Hindu father once went to the Akal Takht right when Sikh Sardars were about to eat langar and begged them to save his daughter from the Pathan faujdar of Multan who had kidnapped her. Right there and then the Sikh Sardars led by the Bhangi Misl Sardar left their Langar just to save the poor Hindu father's daughter from rape.

That's why I always think Sikhs can always have common political sanj(alliance) with Paharis, Haryanvis, Rajasthanis and even Marathas but not these treacherous Punjabi Hindus who have shown their true colours after 1947. They did not even spare the great Sikh leader Mastar Tara Singh who left no stone unturned to appease the Punjabi Hindus.

  4. Veere, my view is that it's not nice to say this type of stuff about another religion. I also know the reality of all religions but why break someone's heart by being so harsh? Respect karya karo. The prophets of the Abrahamic traditions and avatars of the Dharma traditions were all men sent by God at some point in history. They are not perfect like the infallible Gurus but they are still better than us.

  5. Turd, there is no difference, but I have to admire you speaking the truth on at least this occasion and admitting that the PH's have disowned their mother, but you must remember that it was this disowning that led to the Mother Panjab being chopped up into 3 pieces, so your 2nd half of the sentence is again, a lie.

Telling the truth twice in a row? Not as of yet by our HP brother. But once is a start!

yeah, that's the first time I've heard someone blaming the break up of Punjab on the Sikhs. Only a Punjabi Hindoo would come up with something so delusional. Them becoming sellouts by disowning their own mother tongue is the reason why Punjab was broken into 3 parts by the center. How much more butchering of history is this fellow Sher going to do only God knows

  6. Tony nailed it. The media in Punjab which is largely controlled by the urban Hindus has deliberately created an image of female infanticide as a Sikh problem. But statistics show they are the ones who are the biggest perpetrators of this Maha Paap, they are the ones who started this trend and Sikhs began to copy. Even now it is Sikh singers, Sikh media, Sikh theologians and Sikh social workers who are leading the fight against female infanticide. Unfortunately the huge selective abortion problem amongst the urban Hindus is still keeping Punjab behind the rest of India in the sex ratio statistics. May Vaheguru give some Sumat to the Punjabi Hindus to stop this Paap against their daughters.

  7. British created Arya Samaj :) Wah meri bholi (no way!) sarkar

"The former S.G.P.C.-elected Jathedar of the Akal Takht, Giani Kirpal Singh and editor of ‘Naveen Panth Prakash’ commented on the advice given him by some modern Sikhs:

‘When I was just transliterating the invocatory verses, then many Sikh gentlemen advised me to:

‘Erase those portions of it, which were against Guru’s thinking and Sikh history and in their place insert your own new verses. Like how, from Rattan Singh Bhangu’s work, ‘Panth Prakash’, Bhai Vir Singh removed some portions. In some places [bhai Vir Singh] changed the wording such as that with regards to the invocation of ‘Chandi’ (NB. Chandi Pooja was carried out by Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh before the before creation of the Khalsa), etc., and, replacing the word ‘Sura’ (alcohol) with ‘Suda’ (Ambrosia/Khalsa initiation)’

I did not agree with those gentlemen’s above-said thinking, and I said that to cut out some writers original text and insert in new text of your own is a great injustice with the author and in the literary world is considered a great sin. Yes, regards the text the editor in foot notes can give his own views.

‘Siri Guru Panth Prakash’, editor Giani Kirpal Singh, 1970, Vol.1, Pa.3"

    That's one example

I can understand Sher having a problem with the Sikh poet saint Bhai Sahib Bhai Vir Singh Jee. He being the father of modern Punjabi language, a language that Punjabi Hindus have an allergy to so much so that they disowned it for Hindi a language of the Bhayas and have themselves become honorary Bhayas.

  8. Pretty pathetic argument really.....

    Whose worse at female foeticide.

You can tell people here don't really care about the issue in itself.

Veere, the point we are making here is, Sher trying to put us Sikhs down for a crime that his people are even worse at. It's like the pot calling the kettle black except that his community tip the scale of balance on this one. He did the same thing on a number of other issues as well.

  9. nice commonsense you mean? 15% cannot influence the sex ratios of 85% much. Doaba region, where they are concentrated, the sex ratio is higher than the rest of India! Sikh majority districts like fatehgarh sahib taran taran really sad story.

I never said rural people don't do female infanticide. Yes they do, and it's unfortunate that they do. But statistically Punjabi urban Hindus have a higher rate of female infanticide.

So before you try to touch a topic perhaps you should first try to see if your own community is innocent of the crime or not. When you try to spit at the moon, the spit will only end up landing on your own face as it did now.

  10. you have rigid notions. mass distortions by the likes of B Vir Singh have created a huge bubble and anyone who is threatened with bursting this comfort zone goes ballistic. you are no exception. Enjoy your Sukhpreet Udhokes and dhadhi jathas, you would not be able to face the true history.

Can you give an example of Bhai Vir SIngh Jee's work where they made any distortions?

Singhs Sabha was a reaction to attacks on the Sikh faith by Christians and Arya Samajis. Arya Samaj was especially ruthless in their attack. Before Arya Samaj, the Hindus and Sikhs never had any problem with each other. But so misguided were the Punjabi Hindus by this evil movement that they began to make attacks on the Sikh religion by history distortions, accusations and mistrust of the Sikhs.

Arya Samaj was created by the British to distort and misguide the Hindu people just as they had created the Ahmadi movement to misguide the Muslims. At atleast the muslims were able to contain Ahmadis and other Hindus(non Punjabis) were able to reject Arya Samaj. But Punjabi Hindus who were not knowledgeable about Vedic studies were easily manipulated by this British created movement and ended up embracing it

  11. You are not getting the point here. the population whom you call Punjabi Hindus (Brahmin, Khatri (inc Rajputs for convenience sake)and Banias are no more than 15% of the Punjab population. whatever they do, they cannot influence the birthrates in Punjab much.

You should also keep few imp points in your mind - 62 % of the punjab pop lives in the villages

    the major female foeticide problem is in the agrarian communities where ever they live;

    female foeticide much higher in Sikh majority districts (Fatehgarh sahib the worst in india if i am not wrong, Taran taran not far behind);

Hindu (non-Sikh) majority or dominated districts in Doaba have the best sex ratios Hoshiarpur is (961) in fact OVER the national average !!

The cities which are hub of the industrial activity (Ludhiana) have the bad sex ratio because of the migrant labour.

There is problem in sikh community killing their daughters from Gurus' days; even Singh sabhaites started a movement against Kurimars (killers of the daughters)

They are 15% but dominate Punjab's urban population where they dominate in every sense, and read the article which says the Urban people who are the wealthiest and most educated do the most female infanticide. So there is no doubt it is the Urban Hindus who commit this evil act

And Doaba is Hindu majority not because of the Urban Hindus. It is majority because of the Chamar community who declare themselves as Hindus. Nice try

  12. I do still have these doubts at time of whether it is just some kind of tinnitus and i am under false illusion !

I don't know but how would i really know ?

Somehow, I always get some kind of personal message or reassurance from waheguru that it's the correct path.

There are other things (mystical) that you notice, that I don't think you would with medical condition of tinnitus !

Maybe you are hearing Anhad Shabad or maybe it could be another divine experience. There are a lot of Avasthas in between in which the Abhyasee may hear, see or experience many different things. I have heard that one should not focus on what they experience at the time of their meditation because then they will come to a stand still(Khardikala). While you are meditating keep focusing on the Dhuni of Naam because it will keep taking you to higher spiritual levels. Strike while the iron is still hot, don't let it cool down with distractions.

  13. So how does one know which one they are hearing?

Do you see much difference with what was said above to this:

Discourse given by Sant Baba Isher Singh (Rare Wale) where his instructions were as follows with regards to the Anhad Shabad:

Sit in a secluded place and for 2.5 hours, closing eyes and keeping back straight at 90 degrees.

Keep on listening to the sound ringing in both ears and be intoxicated with it. One should hear this sound for 8-10 days.

After that one should direct one's consciousness to on the right ear. An extremely fine and sweet sound sound will begin to be heard from the right ear.

After about 10 days one should withdraw one's consciousness and cease to hear the sounds, ringing in the two ears.

After some effort one would be able to hear a sound from the Agya-chakkar (at the root of the two eyes and the nose). It is the same sound that one used to hear from the right ear.

After concentrating on the Agya chakkar, one should keep on hearing this music for 1 month or 2 and recognize it as the symbol of the Formless God.

Then one should uplift ones consciousness and listen to the music from the point where the ey-brows begin. After practicing for 2-3

months with full concentration one should raise the consciousness to up to the head, to the point where 4 parts of the oranium join which is called the palate. This point is also called the tenth gate.

After practicing this for 3 months one should hear the music from the back of the head, at the point where the backbone (spine) touches the Sukhmana Nadi. One should practice here for 5-6 months.

After this when the seeker becomes full adept, he should concentrate his consciousness on the tip of the nose. At his point he would see strange supra-worldy sights and one acquires carious kinds of power. This practice will take some two years. But there is a supreme need to keep watch on the instructions ordained here. Eager enthusiasm is required beyond limit. Under these activities, one would see different kinds of lights, strange sights of secret worlds and hear strange musical strains.

All I'm saying is tinnitus is not Anhad Shabad. Only Radhasoamnis call the tinnitus as Anhad Shabad. Anhad Shabad sound is something that is directly from Sachkhand and can only be heard by those who have a lot of Naam Kamaee. In the starting stages it is best to focus on the Naam Dhuni. Train the mind at Amritvela hours to focus on the Dhuni of Naam Simran. The more Balvaan the mind becomes in focusing one will experience a number of extra ordinary signs. Bandgi Nama by Raghbir Singh Bir is a must read for ones who want to walk on the path of Gurmat Naam Simran.

  14. Once again Jonny, you are absolutely wrong!

There are scores of research papers on Punjab's rural communities (led by Jats), to put it bluntly, killing their daughters. Nothing new, its a centuries old trend. I do not say anything unless i have some evidence and here goes one 100 page report blasting your argument:

    http://ncw.nic.in/pdfReports/IDENTIFYING%20AND%20CONTROLLING%20FEMALE%20FOETICIDE%20-%20PDF%20FORMAT.pdf

    To quote from the report:

IDENTIFYING AND CONTROLLING FEMALE FOETICID AND INFANTICIDE
    IN PUNJAB

"Peasant societies, as in Punjab, are highly patriarchal and have a strong male child
preference. In these societies patriarchy dictates its ascendancy in all spheres of socio-
economic and political life. Power structures emanating from land control percolate to all
    social activity."
If you have any research data to prove your point, PLEASE share

Man you have no idea. I think maybe you have never been to punjab and so you get all you knowledge about these issues from google. Female infanticide is much more common amongst the urban people of Punjab who happen to be Hindus than it is amongst the rural people which is dominated by the Sikhs.

    http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/article398285.ece

“Over a decade ago, I couldn't save that infant and ever since I try to speak for the girls who never lived,” said Dr. Kaur, who has been awarded by numerous governments across the globe for her work in eradicating the evil.

Rampant female foeticide, the shameful act of selectively aborting the female foetus due to non-preference, continues to push the sex ratio of Punjab against females; unfortunately, the evil is more prevalent among the educated, the rich and the urban bred.

The 2006 National Family Health Survey shows that prosperity does little to curb the evil as Punjab's overall sex ratio at birth (considered a more accurate indicator of female foeticide) was 776 against 793 in 2001. In urban areas, it goes further down to 761:1,000. “The data clearly contradicts the belief that people don't want daughters only due to the expense of dowry and marriage, the practice is more popular amongst the prosperous urban population who commit the crime to avoid perceived social disgrace of not having a son and escaping property division,” said Parveen Singhal, retired professor, who continues to work on the issue.

“My study on girl students of higher secondary schools in urban areas revealed that 78.8 per cent did not want to give birth to a girl child. I was shocked to find that educated girls from urban areas can discriminate against their own kind. They cited the deplorable condition of their mothers and restriction imposed on girls from family as the main reason,”

  15. sullahism is a false religion

Bro, why use such insulting terms for any religion?

I will again appeal to kdeol to please remember your Gurus, Sahibzadas and the countless Shaheeds who gave the ultimate sacrifice but did not give up their Sikhi Sidhak. You are young, many girls your age have become targets of love Jihad and they don't even know it because they are blinded by their love but only regret it after it is too late.

  16. Turd, himachal is not an agrarian state, nor do they need the water, or want it.

what would happen if they didnt let one drop of water through to Panjab (which HP has every right to), they would all DROWN!.

They are so glad to see the monsoon waters rush through to Panjab causing destruction, whilst causing minimal casualties in HP.

And FYI, the waters of Panjab, start even further back than HP, in India, so those countries would have more rights than Himachal.

Im sure Sikhs would go ballistic. The govt would do the same as well.

First of all, we need to understand what is the water issue. Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Punjab are all riparian states to which the rivers flow through or which have water under it's land. Punjab is not taking water from Himachal just as Himachal is not taking water from J&K. The water of these three states belongs to these three riparian state's land as it naturally flows there. Haryana and Rajasthan on the other hand are not riparian states, they are getting water directly from Punjab at Punjab's expense and this is against national and international riparian laws.

Capt's statement was a political stunt, nothing more. He only made that statement for the sake of opposing the Akalis who had made a statement earlier that Punjab's waters which are it's natural resource are illegally being given for free to other (non riparian) states and as a natural resource Punjab deserves royalties. This is the same Capt who tore the unlawful treaty of Punjab's waters going to Haryana for free when he was in power and was applauded by Punjabis worldwide.

The fact that Sher here who himself is a Punjabi, yet is supportive of Punjab's waters being exploited by non riparian states shows exactly the kind of Hindus who had disowned their own mother tongue for a language which was not even theirs. He like other urban Punjabi Hindus only do this to oppose the Sikhs, there is no other reason for a community to become sellouts and be disloyal to their own state. It is interesting to note that no other Hindu in any other state shows such disloyalty to their own state only the urban Punjabi Hindus have this trait.
