  1. http://www.cfr.org/india/raw-indias-external-intelligence-agency/p17707

Since its inception in 1968, RAW has had a close liaison relationship with KHAD, the Afghan intelligence agency, due to the intelligence it has provided RAW on Pakistan. This relationship was further strengthened in the early 1980s when the foundation was laid for a trilateral cooperation involving RAW, KHAD, and the Soviet KGB. Raman says RAW valued KHAD's cooperation for monitoring the activities of Sikh militants in Pakistan's tribal areas. Sikhs in the Indian state of Punjab were demanding an independent state of Khalistan. According to Raman, Pakistan's ISI set up clandestine camps for training and arming Khalistani recruits in Pakistan's Punjab Province and North West Frontier Province. During this time, the ISI received large sums from Saudi Arabia and the CIA for arming the Afghan mujahadeen against Soviet troops in Afghanistan. "The ISI diverted part of these funds and arms and ammunition to the Khalistani terrorists," alleges Raman.

In retaliation, in the mid-1980s, RAW set up two covert groups of its own, Counter Intelligence Team-X (CIT-X) and Counter Intelligence Team-J (CIT-J), the first targeting Pakistan in general and the second directed at Khalistani groups. The two groups were responsible for carrying out terrorist operations inside Pakistan, writes Pakistani military expert Ayesha Siddiqa. Indian journalist, Praveen Swami, writes that a "low-grade but steady campaign of bombings in major Pakistani cities, notably Karachi and Lahore" was carried out. This forced the head of ISI to meet his counterpart in RAW and agree on the rules of engagement as far as Punjab was concerned, writes Siddiqa. The negotiation was brokered by then-Jordanian Crown Prince Hassan bin-Talal, whose wife, Princess Sarvath, is of Pakistani origin. "It was agreed that Pakistan would not carry out activities in the Punjab as long as RAW refrained from creating mayhem and violence inside Pakistan," Siddiqa writes.

In the past, Pakistan also accused RAW of supporting Sindhi nationalists demanding a separate state, as well as Seraikis calling for a partition of Pakistan's Punjab to create a separate Seraiki state. India denies these charges. However, experts point out that India has supported insurgents in Pakistan's Balochistan, as well as anti-Pakistan forces in Afghanistan. But some experts say India no longer does this. As this Backgrounderexplains, Pakistan is suspicious of India's influence in Afghanistan, which it views as a threat to its own interests in the region. Experts say although it is very likely that India has active intelligence gathering in Afghanistan, it is difficult to say whether it is also involved in covert operations.

  2. Dovals speciality is turning militants into assets. Did it with some khalistanis, groups in the north east and most famously with Kuka Parrey and the Ikhwaan in Kashmir.

We know Benazir gave away information about khalistanis to stop the bloodshed in Karachi caused by India between Shias and Sunnis. Not to mention the issue in Balochistan.

The Indian side has calculated correctly that Pakistan has no credibility left internationally. So, even if they are telling the truth nobody believes them.

  3. Yes, I'm not talking about the fight with GOI that was mostly justified. I'm talking about everyday petty stuff. So and So used a verse and said it wrong let's pelt his vehicle and send him death threats. Or the youtube maha brahmgyanis. Or the failure to separate politics and religion which has rubbed off on the Hindus as well.

  4. We already know what happens when you spend your life fighting. You are headed the same way as your paki brothers on a much smaller scale. Give the police the day off in Punjab and you would machine gun each other to death.

Now, if you compare the Hindu, Sikh or Muslim soldier equally trained under the same conditions. They turn out exactly the same.

I bet their would be scant difference in rewards and awards. We can check if you like.

  5. The ttp have been against female education, not education per se, and those schools that have been blown up were those that allowed female education.

I would be really surprised if the ttp would allow themselves to be controlled by people they detest, even through proxies.

It's not always about religion. In this case Islam is the cover story. A good portion is about lucrative business opportunities like guns and drugs.

A recent poll should that up to 80 percent of afghans had a favourable view of India and blamed their problems on Pakistan. Karzai himself was raised and educated in Himachal Pradesh.

Doval, if responsible, is a human intelligence type of guy. Meaning Indians dressed as Afghans or Moslems living in these groups or founding them. But you would never know.

The same tactic was used in Punjab when he helped create the black cats.

  6. I hear that.

Plus let's not forget that we haven't even got an idea of how many Sikh (and even Hindu) kids were killed, brutalised or sold as slaves in the 18th century. The figure is probably massive.

I recall reading a Persian account by a general who was part of a force that attacked a fort that was being used by Banda Singh Bahadur; he explicitly mentions seeing other sullay taking entire families away as slaves. These things were painful and uncomfortable for our ancestors, so they sort of wrote them out of our history, concentrating on other sacrifices and successes.

Thing is: for those of us living in London. I'm wondering what kind of effed up mass koon karabi we will inevitably witness over here as a consequence of goray jumping into sullah shit abroad?

The figures run easily into the tens of millions. I've heard as high as 80 million people in India have perished due to the Islamic onslaught over the last 1000 years. 1 million in Bangladesh alone.

What's happening now is that finally the bill has come. In Germany, the far right is gaining strength. In India, the Islamic menace has powered a group of fringe elements into a formidable movement called Hindutva. Even the Buddhists of Burma and Sri Lanka are starting to kill Muslims.

I fully expect the SS to return during my lifetime. It means bad news for all brown skinned people in Europe.

  7. You may find this analysis unusual but Pak Army could have played some role in the Peshawar outrage. The only party to gain out of it - Pak Army. country is behind it and this means more power more money..more corner wala plots in Model Town.

The Pakistan army are aristocrats and control everything. They have all the money they want and can get any piece of land in the entire country without question.

The Army is not cannon fodder but the common man Mr. Habib Butt and his 14 children with 4 arms each is.

Look at the results. They are stuck in another conflict and now are withdrawing troops from the border against India.

  8. As for the operation itself, it could be the attackers were told to kill certain people (army officers) but something went wrong.

People think these people kill for Islam and that may be true to a certain extent. However, they are brainwashed and pumped with drugs so they become robots.

In the 1900s the Americans were dealing with muslim pirates and when they would shoot them point blank the muslim would not die because he was pumped with drugs. The Americans went back to Smith and Wesson and created a new gun called the magnum?

Sorry if I got the names and dates incorrect.

  9. Creating groups on your own soil is different than creating groups on another's soil. Pakis made a fatal mistake that may cost them their country. In their quest to be Mard e Mujahid and the fortress of Islam they used kattarta as their foundation and not the economy or institutions.

But I do notice a new determination to fight terror from the army and civil society. I guess the attack had the desired results.

  10. Yes nobody can prevent terrorist attacks but your superman negotiated the release of terrorists who then went on to kill innocent people. He went with the intention of storming the plane and he was outsmarted by the Taliban. He was forced to release three dreaded terrorists. You would think a wily bahman would have known that the Taliban would not have allowed the Hindus to storm the hijacked plane but he took some NSG bandars along with him and they spent the week they were there twiddling their thumbs!

Rest assured the Pakistanis are getting it hard and will continue to get it. The aim is not to destroy pakistan but let it boil without spilling over. The last thing I want is Pakistani refugees in India. Let them boil for a generation or two.

Americans are directly responsible for allowing Indians & TTP carry out this slaughter. US must eject all Indians & kill TTP inside OR....
