  1. Sant Baba Mani Singh Ji passed away.

The first Sant to be born in the UK left this earth to merge with the one creator on 13th August 2008 in California, USA. Sant Mani Singh's body has been flown back to England for his funeral, which is to be held on Saturday 30th August 2008 at Akal Bunga, 15 Silverton Road, Smethwick. The Sikh Congregation will have the opportunity to pay their last respects from 6.30am before the congregation depart for West Bromwich Crematorium at 9am.

Sant Mani Singh was named Resham Singh at birth at St Chads Hospital Birmingham on 4th November 1970 at approximately 1am. He was raised and bred in Smethwick, West Midlands until he graduated from Secondary High School. Between his childhood and teenage years he remained unattached from materialistic objects just as a lotus blossom remains untouched by the water. He was to join the British Royal Marines, but had no idea what royalty awaited his existence. Whilst throwing away the career of the Royal Marines and serving the country, he instead decided to serve the whole of humanity.

Following enlightenment Sant Mani Singh stayed in deep meditation from 25th December 1990 to 13th April 1991 at the invitation of Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha, Soho Road, Handsworth. In absolute deep meditation, he was drunk with the divine. During this period no thirst or hunger disturbed him, a great ecstasy took over him.

A question was asked at the time, what was the significance of this mediation? He smiled and said "I must have lost my consciousness, so drunk, so drowned. I must have been so drunk in the beatitude of realization that I must have forgot the wide world."

On 15th April 1991 he came into the congregation at Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha when Bhai Sahib Bhai Nurung Singh stated "you are a mirror that reflects so marvelously and as such your name should be Mani Singh rather than Resham Singh."

Sant Mani Singh spent the last ten years researching into the Sikh Scriptures with the desire to write the Sikh Scriptures using twenty four carat gold, which would be placed on the throne at Sri Harimandhar Sahib. Due to the complexity and intricacy of this task it was only this year that the technique for producing the scriptures was perfected. The first four Ang (pages) where shown to the congregated two months ago and the methodology to complete the project was described to their close associates. With the blessings of the Almighty this project will continue to fruition to produce the first ever Sikh Scriptures in gold.

When a Mahapurkh (enlightened soul) leaves the earth he always leaves something behind. Sant Mani Singh has left behind for us all the methodology of how to serve our living Guru, Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This is a unique gift for the Sikh Panth and should be treasured.

  2. ” Ballowal is a small village situated in district Ludhiana, Panjab. This village was home to Baba Karam Singh Ji. Baba Karam Singh Ji was an eyewitness to Baba Mani Singh Ji’s stay in the steep hills of ‘Guru Ka Lahore’ near to Sri Anandpur Sahib. Guru Ka Lahore was the sacred space where Guru Gobind Singh Ji got married, and was surrounded by steep rocky hills and caves. Baba Mani Singh Ji chose this spot to meditate. Baba Karam Singh recounts his time with Baba Mani Singh Ji:

“Baba Mani Singh Ji was at a level where with every breath (Swas-swas) and with every hair (Rom-rom) he was doing Simran. He was a very great mahapurakh, but very few came to know about him (due to how gupt he remained.) He was a Brahamgiani who’s every beath and hair vibrated Simran. I witnessed many kautaks (Miracles) of Baba Ji. I first met Baba Ji at Mahauli Nagar in 1998. Mahauli is near Mandi, Ludhiana. They came out of nowhere and said to me lovingly, ‘I have found you, there is no hiding now Baba Ji, we have meditated together for 50 Janams (lives)’. I said to them, please stay here (Mahauli) and spend some time there. For 3 months they stayed there and meditated.

    D
After this I asked them to also come to village Ballowal. For 40 days Baba Mani Singh Ji meditated at my house. During this whole time none of the family or myself saw Baba Ji, they remained this gupt. Then on the 40th day of their meditation, they called us into their room at night. They said that they wanted to leave in the morning to their village of Bhangala. At Bhangala was their asthan, and such was their ‘fakeeri mauj’ (the will of a carefree saint) that they would set fire to their hut and move on (so that no one would make their hut into a place of worship.) I said to Baba Ji that I shall drop you off to Bhangala.

Just the next day, Baba Ji decided to leave for Guru Ka Lahore. In Guru Ka Lahore was a very dense and dangerous jungle. During the 40 days Baba Ji spent at Guru Ka Lahore, their parshada (food) came from my house in Ballowal. During this period Baba Ji didn’t use to speak a lot. They just used to do ‘ishaare’ (i.e. make hand movements). For this reason I took along cards as a form of communication. I have these cards at my home, and they have written many bachans on there regarding the future. I said to Baba Ji, this is a very dense and dangerous jungle, how are you surviving here? They wrote on the card, ‘there are eighteen lions/tigers in this jungle, and one lion is always on guard around me’. I said to Baba Ji, please show us this lion aswell. Baba ji got up straight away and started to get ready. I remarked that it’s become too hot today and I will come tomorrow earlier. It was around the time of April, I remember this as the farmers were bringing in the harvest. The next day at around 10 am we left Baba Ji’s meditation space and they started climbing the rocky slopes, all the sangat witnessed how steep these rocks were. When we got to the top we came to a forested area. Baba Ji pointed ahead and said ‘look there is the lion.’ I said to Baba Ji, I still can’t see it. But when I looked again, beyond a river I saw there sitting a lion under the shade of a tree. Baba Ji said to me sit down here, and they laid down their ‘kambali’ (shawl) for me to sit on. When I sat down Baba Ji picked up a stick and drew a line around me.

rsz_img_0090The Stick used by Baba Ji to draw the circle in the ground, along with Baba Ji’s Dastar and Kesh(from Kanga)

    E
They told me to remain seated and they walked off into the jungle. For 2 and half hours I sat there and the lion also remained there across the river. When Baba Ji returned he said, I have just spent the last 2 hours in the presence of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and have got aagyia off them. We walked on towards a caved area and Baba Ji pointed ahead and said ‘look, there is the cave (gupha) where Guru Gobind Singh Ji sat and meditated.’ Standing on a rock Baba Ji started to do Ardas. He prayed to Vaheguru saying, ‘ O Tenth King Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, for 50 lives we have meditated together. Now give them the duty of Parchar and I will spin his mala for him (i.e. meditate for him).’ Such was the tapasya of Baba Ji. These are just small glimpses; we saw a lot of Baba Ji. They had such a good memory. I remember about 5/10 years after they first came to Ballowal, they visited again. At a spot where there was once a Small Plant, they said to me – where had the plant gone that was once here? Such was their attentiveness to everything around them. They were a friend, a friend of all; this is what true sadhus are. These are the friends that will help us in this life and the next. When they came and visited us last in the winter of 2007, they remarked to us, ‘I am the child of this house’, such was their humility.”

  4. The Forum seems to goes through trends...
A while back it was a bunch of rss types attacking sikh sentiments, and constant attacks against Sant Ji, and shaheeds....
Then it was about Panj Pyares and feminism (or equality don't start an argument here :/) and debates against the authenticity of Damdami Taksaal lineage and questioning the Mahapursh.
Now it is Constant Debates Against Sri Dasam Granth....

It is every single one of uses jobs to counter this.... The viable option seems to be to simply just put in actual useful threads in forum sections... For every post we make in a debate we should also be speaking on good spiritual threads.... The Bhagti, Gurbani, Simran sections are fllourishing still so we need to post useful things in the general and questions etc. sections...

    What do you think?

  5. Singhsabha1699 Ji (Mr.Singh) we have already discussed this in length.

I have linked Katha By Sant Ji. There are many Mahapurakhs that completely support Sri Dasam Granth in full. Who I refuse to question.

Mein na manoo vali hova rut.

What can you do at the point?

    Here's the fact.

No one doing this discussion will remain in the world. Whether you support Sri Dasam Granth or are against Sri Dasam Granth. In the end we will all pass. But here's the thing. Sri Dasam Granth Dashmesh Pita Jis bani will remain Jugo Jug Atal!!!! Because there is this certain fact that guru mahrajas amrit bani is the truth in this dark world.

  6. Okay, let's go from here. Are you saying that the baani of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji, either individually or in its entirety (I'll let you choose), is inferior in any way shape or form to that of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?

Whilst no one is denying that Aad Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our Guru (at least I hope no is), this does not mean that the Baani of the Tenth Master deserves any less respect.

As far as bowing down to individual baanis/shabads goes, you may choose not to, I would GLADLY.

You say individual baanis would not be put on a palki (e.g. Jap ji). What, then, would you say the the Mohan Pothis that Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji Maharaj bought to the Sri Harmandir Sahib in a palki? What would you say to the Fifth Master giving his own takht to Sri Aad Granth Sahib Ji (remember, Guru Granth Sahib Ji does not have the Gurgaddi yet), sitting on the floor with the rest of the sangat and bowing down to it? Is the Fifth Master, too, not bowing down to an "incomplete" Granth?

What are your views, then, on Sri Sarbloh Guru Granth Sahib Ji?

What are are your views on the Sixth and Tenth Gurus, when they elevated the shasters, done Chaur over them and BOWED to them?

There is a katha done by Giani Sher Singh Ji Nihang explaining the whole "not doing parkash of any Granth same level as Guru Sahib", in which he explains that people started to (wrongly) parkash Ramayan/Gita/Mahabharat along side Guru Sahib Ji, hence the introdction of this rule.

For the majority of us, it is quite simple:

Jin Bhae Adab Naa Baani Dhaaraa

    Jaano So Sikh Nahi Hamaaraa

    AKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL

  7.

Ok Paji fair enough you consider the Sun God dynasty to be real.

Each Sikh has the choice to believe in that or the ideology of kul nash advocated by Guru Sahib.

But ... are you further aware that Bachittar Natak claims our Guru Sahibaan were all Hindu Kings in previous lives and that these Hindu Kings did a deal on how GurGaddi would be carved up amongst them (like a business deal) in their next incarnations between 1469-1708.

Do you not feel that the AKJ, Missionaries, Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale and others forming the majority of the Panth are justified in insisting only those words which are in tandem with Gurmat should be considered authentic Dasam Bani.

Note that all 100% of the Panth are united in respect for authentic Dasam Bani.

The overwhelming majority of the Panth do not believe that the 600 pages of sexually erotic tales in Charitropakhiyan were written by Guru Sahib. Only the minority Sanatan sects of Damdami Taksal, Nirmale, Udasi's, 3HO, Buddha Dal do.

And that was why Sardar Kartar Singh Jhabbar and the Akali Singh Sabha Lehar which freed our Gurdwara's from Hindu Mahant control threw out Charitropakhiyan that the Hindu Mahants were insistent upon reading daily so that the Hindu Mahants prostitutes could girate to it inside Darbar Sahib.

The juxtaposition of Sri Benti Chaupai Sahib (which i respect) into Charitropakhiyan is fully documented as having being deliberately done by the British and Arya Samaj sponsored Sodhak Committee of 1897 that was finalised by Amitabh Bachchan's ancestor Khemu Bedi.

As far as Bachittar Natak Goes.

End of Discussion. Mr Singh Ji.

  8. Harjot Paji relax. There is no hate. This is a civilised discussion of two different ideological positions.

You believe in the DDT Maryada. Fine. I respect your right to believe that way.

However, what you need to appreciate is why the majority of the Sikh Panth do not and will never accept the DDT Maryada.

Damdami Taksal are well known and historically documented for having refused Amrit to Mazhabi Sikhs prior to the 1930's.

And there of further reports of them having carried out such blatant anti-Sikh discrimination even after that.

Then comes DDT's unforgivable support of Indira Gandhi + Congress in the 1980 elections. A decision hated by most of the Panth.

If it was not for Sant Jarnail Singh Ji, the name Damdami Taksal (first mentioned in the 1970's) would have faded away from Panthic consciousness as the Sanatan sect that refused Amrit to Mazhabi Sikhs and supported Indira Gandhi in the 1980 elections, which in turn led to the next 35 years of suffering for the Panth.

So I respectfully ask you to see why other Sikhs that are the majority of the Panth are not open to accepting the DDT Maryada.

There is not a shred of hatred and I don't believe Dhumma followers need to abandon their Maryada or respect for Sri Chand.

Let all Sikhs believe what they want and let us respect that those that follow a slightly different Maryada can still be considered Sikhs but obviously where some disagree with DDT ideology vis a vis impurity we will all agree to disagree.

Everyone do not further this discussion until as I said earlier. Satkirin Ji you state what your understanding of the video is and what points were brought up.

  9. Oh you mean don't do like Damdami Taksal does?
Because they pick and choose tuks to suit their agenda:

They use this one, without taking the lines immediately following, you lose the context, which tells us that the idea of physical pollution (and useless rituals to purify oneself) are false deeds, that the one who is impure is the one who 'sucks the blood' of others (using metaphor to speak of exploitation of others). So, like majority of Gurbani it uses allegory to take a physical reference and shift our thinking to our own mind, thoughts and deeds. DDT however, uses it alone to try to say that blood causes pollution. How can blood be pollution if blood is life force of all animals?  They pick and chose this tuk to try to declare women as impure because of menstruation.

    ਜੇ ਰਤੁ ਲਗੈ ਕਪੜੈ ਜਾਮਾ ਹੋਇ ਪਲੀਤੁ ॥
Je raṯ lagai kapṛai jāmā ho▫e palīṯ.
If one's clothes are stained with blood, the garment becomes polluted

They pick and chose this next one and changed the context which is that a true sati is one who takes God as their true husband... as soul-bride.  But to push their agenda of women being inferior, they again took the tuk out of context and twisted it to sound like it's telling physical wives to see and serve their physical husband as a God.  If the original context was to forget these physical attachments and take God as your true husband, and surrender to God's will alone, then how can you view a physical husband AS God?  Certainly we are to see the divine light in ALL humans, but an individual part of a whole, can never equal the whole.  And if a wife is being told to serve a physical husband as a God, then how can she take God as her true husband as a soul bride? DDT took this tuk out of context to push their agenda.

    ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
Kaho Nānak jin pari▫o parmesar kar jāni▫ā.
Says Nanak, she who looks upon the Transcendent Lord as her Husband,
    ਧੰਨੁ ਸਤੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਰਵਾਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੯੯॥
    Ḏẖan saṯī ḏargėh parvāni▫ā. ||4||30||99||
is the blessed 'satee'; she is received with honor in the Court of the Lord. ||4||30||99||

And these are only two examples, and there are more! So you can't tell one person not to do something, that you are supporting Damdami Taksal doing the same thing.
That makes you a bit of a hypocrite!

    NO. STOP.

What he is doing is attacking bani completely. He is using the bani of Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj
to push hate towards Damdami Taksal.

I don't care what you think of Damdami Taksal. But don't defend his misuse of Tuks of bani.

You cannot hope to understand because you don't even completely believe in Sri Dasam Granth Ji.

Bani IS the GURU. So be careful with what you say.

You are going in circles with the same Tuk over and over again.

PLEASE Everyone do not further this discussion until as I said earlier. Satkirin Ji you state what your understanding of the video is and what points were brought up.

Even those on the other side of the debate against Baba Hari Singh Ji didn't go in circles like this and recognized what he said to provide a useful discussion that this was supposed to be.

I can explain what is saying in the Rehras Sahib which is by the way correct, don't bring up things you didn't research and just quoting some nonsense interpretation. I can explain to you but I can't understand for you

Admin freeze the thread it is not going anywhere, just hurling accusations and creating animosity in the forum.

Instead of the circle jerk debate, why don't bring up something which we can all learn, all I can see is hate spewing in this forum. Why don't you guys messages each other without involving forum.

That's what this was supposed to be.

The points brought up in the video are really interesting...

For so long we have argued that we need a complete maryada... Now we can see the issues and decide how to solve them.
