  1. After a workout i would recommend a cold shower it helps with muscle recovery and soreness. But it does depend on the individual as some say cold showers not cold enough to give you benefits of an ice bath.. I would say just experiment, that is what i did and be aware of the difference if any between cold and hot showers. Only so much reading we can do..trial and error veereh. :)

Generally speaking from my experience cold showers has helped me in many ways. I used to take cold showers everyday and the immediate difference i felt in myself was more awareness, higher concentration, more vibrant mood, better posture, brighter/glow in face and overall 'feel good factor' . Another thing it helped me out with was my hay fever, i no longer need to take tablets or nasal spray in summer. when i went back to warm/hot showers i felt the opposite. Not dramatically but very much noticeable. Also a big difference is that with warm/hot showers the natural oils in hair are washed away leaving it dry where as with cold showers the hair stays moist. I now have warm showers everyday but have cold showers in the evening every other day, reason i stopped cold showers is because it is really difficult getting out of bed in winter and turning that cold tap on..lol.

i would highly recommend cold showers, just be sensible in terms of your environment and more importantly your health (if you have any health issues consult doctor before taking cold showers). If you decide to take it everyday i would advise to gradually introduce your body to it, ie start warm slowly finish cold.

But in summer i stick to cold showers..This is just my opinion on cold showers from my experience.

Keep us updated if you decide to go ahead with cold showers...you may want to wait for weather to get warmer depending on where you are from.. Im from uk so winter is not that bad plus when i take cold showers i will not leave the house within the next hour of taking it but places like us and canada can be very cold this time of the year..

Stated another way, Hukam is the present moment.

In simple words, Hukam is the here and now.

    From Jap ji Sahib -

"How can one realize the truth that all is impermanent?
By staying with the current of the eternal present moment one can recognize things for what they truly are.

What is the eternal present moment?
The eternal present moment cannot be stated, you can only be with it. But know that it is in the present moment in which things take form, in which living beings come to life, in which greatness is obtained, in which one becomes high or low, in which pleasure and pain is received. Everything is happening inside this eternal moment, there is nothing outside of it."

It's disgusting. You never attack someone unarmed with a weapon, or anything weapon-like. That is absolutely disgusting behaviour. What's the point of going to the gurudwara, and not learning basic shit like that?

And there is a bloke in the back who is flashing his sword. Who does he think he is? We have the perfect word for folks like that in Punjabi.

It's sad to see this type of conflict.

I was thinking the same thing...gets me worked up that behavior

yeh that guy flashes his sword walks forward then back again..what a yodha.....

yeh i have quiet a few in panjabi too...lol but as in uk ill keep to at .. 'what a p**ck'..

  5. I dont mean to shit you up or anything, but this does seem like a typical case of jaadu tuna (black magic). Trust me you are still at a age where you can change but you need to be strong. as in most situations as yourself things can get worse for a while when you start to recite gurbani meditate etc..

I have also been in a similar situation but i was ignorant to the dark forces and invited light energy after a whole lot of damage was done..

If you possibly can let sukhmani sahib path continuosly play in your room (also recite if you can). im not well equipped in gurbani but dukh daroo sukh rog paya ja sukh taam ha hoyi springs to mind....its only worldly pain that gives us ultimate sukh/bliss as this is when we devout and surrender to an energy that has no initial logical meaning..hence you dive into spirituality which is when you start to live less in the mind..

also remember no matter how hard it is there will be a time when you look back at this dark times an take it as a blessing..probably the last thing you want to hear, people used to say it to me all the time..but time is healing..

bhagat fareed says he though his house was on fire but when he stood on the hill he saw all houses on fire...theres deeper spiritual meanings but lets just take the basic physical material world as a meaning of 'we think we got problems but every household has'...trust me theres people in a lot worse situation..be blessed that you in these dark times can recite gurbani and listen to katha...

always look at the guru in everyhing meaning that which brings you out of darkness into light... maybe the so called friends you could have made would have led you into darker habits who knows.. ask your satiguru to bring quality of friends who are god minded...

your jigsaw pieces seem to be scattered at the moment with satigurus kirpa they will be put in place for you to start seeing a clear pic..

  6. satkiran.. if you want i will teach you panjabi...pm me we can exchange number an if you have wotsapp it would b great..i signed on this forum a few months ago but did not post...however ive been following this forum for years..really enjoyed and miss the nirmala tsingh...

its no coincidence your version of gender equality has taken aback many members on this forum..but listen, not that they need me to speak for them, but stop puttin it on likes of chataga... the counter argument could be, well learn panjabi to have a better understanding of history, to an extent bani...not to belittle chataga...
