How odd..this completely contradicts the teachings of Guru Nanak ji.

Do you think maybe Guru ji meant 'sexual relations' and it being a sin because the Sikh would not be married to the Muslim woman...and that would be the reason for the Sikh not being the Guru's 'sikh' ?

That would make more sense.

Because the example you gave, says nothing about marrying a non-Sikh.

Examples like that are irrelevant to the topic.. all they do instead is spread hate amongst the religions.

If Rehat Maryada says that Sikhs cannot marry a non-Sikh then whow did the sikhs marry during the times when there not many gursikhs around to marry, initially ? I am talking about the times of evolution of Sikh Panth...

If it was Okay to marry a non-sikh during the inception of Sikh Panth then how come it suddenly became a taboo ?

Read the SGGS before you talk about Sikhi to me. I ignore your BS and again reiterate that it is ok for Sikhs to marry non-Sikhs, Sikhism is an inclusive faith, not exclusive.

What is the Sukhmani Sahib?

I have a book of Nitnaym Baanees and I read my prayers from that.. but what does 'Nitnaym' mean?

And who wrote/writes the rehats? And can rehats still be written today?

and also.. what does 'rehat' mean?

I think it would be more helpful..esp when a non-Sikh asks us questions like those..would be better to answer the questions by saying that this is how its stated in the Granth Sahib.. rather than saying 'oh this is what I believe ...'

In Sikhi what is Hell and Heaven?

I mean like in Islam and Christianity theres a description of both..what its like and whats going to happen to u there.

I've read about heaven and hell in Sikhism but still am confused about it. :?

That guy had issues...I mean if people stopped getting married in order to connect with God..the human race would wipe out eventually. Sikhs are supposed to live family lives, have careers, be outgoing.. we just arent supposed to get attached to worldly things.

In Sikhi one is supposed to lead a family/social life and still be devoted to God.

In my little opinion, Anand Karj IS SPECIFICALLY FOR GURSIKHS, hence I'm againsti.e. two 'mone' doing Anand KArj as they MOST probably wont follow what they promise to (in lava), and According to Bhai Desi Singh Rehitnama A person can't call himself/herself a SIkh without following the rehit

Sikhi is more than jus rehats.. that should be more than obvious.

Anyways its about whats in someones heart and their beliefs...not the bullshit that people display on the outside. That "mone" could be a much better person than a gursikh.. and dont say dat cant be true..be realistic..not everything is as it appears. A true gurusikh would know this.

And by the way SIKHS DO MARRY MUSLIMS..and have in the past. Dont know what world you people live in.

I believe in the Granth Sahib.. but the Rehats dont settle too well with me.

I'd rather follow the teachings of the Granth ji than the rehats.
