“The meat of an animal killed in an instant with a machine or electric current is also considered Chatka.”
(Bhai Kanh Singh Nabha, Gurmatmartand, Vol:1, (SGPC, 1962) 305)
Kanh Singh Ji in same foot note also clarified:
“In the world no matter which language if on saying Gods name with one blow a animal is Chatka it is acceptable for Sikhs to eat it.” (ibid)

There are Bbecki Akali Nihangs who only cook with wooden fire and eat in Sarbloh. Far as they are concerned all meat other than goat buck Jhatka ,is khulla mass. To support their case they cite Rehtnama Bhai Desa Singh:
“Fish and meat he never eats.....If he is to eat let him Jhatka a goat buck and eat. At at any other meat let him never even look.”
( Rehtnameh, ed. Piara Singh Padam, Published by Bhai Chutter Singh & Jiwan Singh, Amritsar, 1989), 147-148)
To this day in Nihang non-vegetarian langur only Jhatka Bakra can be served as this alone is considered Mahaparsad. All other meat is forbidden in the langur.
So how can a Singh justify eating other meat than non Jhatka bakra meat in light of above cited Rehtnama? As all other meat is not Jhatka and is in reality but khulla mass.
