    Hitopadesha is a very popular Sanskrit granth and after Bhagwat gita, is the second most sold book in India. Guru Sahib jee’s poets lakhan Rai and tansukh Lahori translated it into Bhasha.

    Thanks to Dr. Amar Singh of Guru Nanak Dev University, so many manuscripts of hitopadesha are found which proves that this Granth was very popular among the Sikhs and was studied regularly and it’s hand written copies were made.
