Why can't some of the great sikh institutions, perform amrit ceremonies ? Surely not everyone can take amrit at the same place, as long as the 5 are 5 solid singhs is that not enough ?

i was also thinking that it may be to do with the fact that, other occupations such as, shop keepers,traders etc would be able to move their occupation else where, whereas a jat would have only his land to live from, also a jat would not be jat without his land.

I've always been told that its been a bit exclusive and not very open, I have been to programs in the morning's where they don't even let you in the room,because you haven't taken their amrit hence, your a Manmukh. What cultish tactics. Like Kaal said Question these things as there are some nasty poeple out there,who's intentions arn't so clear as they seem.
