  1. So umm, we should have like...multiple partners? I feel guilty already... Maybe everyone should have a license to er..do stuff, that way they will get regularly checked and sterilised, and when they pass more tests they can get it reversed to have children, simple! So many parents have kids now even though they arent more than a couple of kids themselves..

    Oooh..the possibilities..

  2. What are the characterstics of a devotee?

“A devotee" said the Guru, “is like a Virgin bride, who surrenders herself to the bridegroom without any thought of self. A devotee is no more aware of his separate self in the service of the Beloved. The image of the Beloved fills his heart till all sense of separateness departs and the devotee becomes one with the object of devotion.â€

“Tell me, O great teacher, how should a house-holder live?â€

“Listen,†said the Guru, “he who earns his living by hard labour and shares it with others, he follows the true path.â€

“What should be the characteristics of your Sikh,†asked Bhagirath.

“He who is truthful, contented and compassionate towards all, he who is free from covetousness and hate, he who is harmless, dispassionate and desireless, he who is self controlled and has learnt to discriminate between right and wrong, he who surrenders himself to the supreme God and learns to abide by his will, such a harmonised person has entered the path of discipleship.â€

    Pain Has Roots In Pleasure

    Baba P.L. Bedi*

Got this from Sikhnet, blatant plaigarism, but it was good 'like' and its a starting point for us eh?

  3. The word Wahabi is not necessarily negative, get off your high horse SMS and wake up to the fact that not everyone is as 'academic' as you and has the right to express their opinions like everyone else. I dont see any other mod complaining.

    G Kaur,

The moderators speak as one team on this front. SMS has clarified what he means when using the term "Academic" and is in no way preventing people from 'expressing themselves'. All the Moderators desire is for 'constructive' discussion.

As per the use of RSS and/or Wahabi, if it is used for example in the manner Bikramjit Singh adopted when he and Shaka Nyorai discussed Ugardanti (e.g Your translation is akin to that used by the RSS) or in the manner used elsewhere by Shaka Nyorai (e.g. the entire change in paradigm brought about by the reformation is like that used by the Wahabis) this is still constructive.

Simply shouting "You're a Wahabi" or "You're RSS" achieves nothing.

Hope this is clear enough for all to understand.

  4. In which talk did NNS say Rehit wasnt important? I was there at both and I dont think he did. So please dont listen to gossip and come and hear for yourself, because the first lecture, at which you were present was only about the concept of Dharma, not Rehit. So I assume you heard what he supposedly said in his second talk from someone else, and this information is not reliable.

SMS, Why am I not allowed to state my opinion on the way tableji was expressing himself? and come on, the crisps were weird, you have to admit.

  5. Im a scholar of Barbiology, if anyone wants to discuss the latest Ken umm designs, please PM me for an appointment.

(Noor, dont worry ok? you didnt say anything wrong at all, I would say read that stuff Narsingha mentioned, and learn from anyone and anything, cos knowledge can come from weird places <---sounds good huh? *big hug*)
