Vaisakhi - An Experience for the whole family

Wow thanks for your help!

Thanks man
This Qawwali is about. I just found after vayuputra gave me the title of the Qawwali.
A poem by the mystic Punjabi poet Shah Hussain Bahu (circa. 1628 – 1691) whose distinguishing signature, “Hu” (also short for “Allah-hu”), is carried at the end of every line. In the opening lines, the disciple describes how it all began: his murshid (Master) plants a fragrant bud within the disciple’s heart and waters it with all that there is in this world. The disciple watches the plant grow and urges it to touch the stars. On of the most memorable verses in the song:
Everybody prays to preserve their faith, few pray for love everlasting
My heart feels ashamed to pray for faith instead of Love (of God)
The stations reached by Love are unknown to Faith
Bahu's faith pleads only for the safety and continuation of this Love
Bahu, long live the perfected Master who planted this bud

You might remember a few year back when I asked the forum if they have got this one Qawwali by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan? Well with modern technology i've been able to upload it, you can hear which Qawwali im after. I heard this Qawwali on Desi Radio UK (West London Punjabi Radio Station) and it sounded like wow. Someone help us out and tell me whats the name of this Qawwali all I know its by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and others as a group. Anyways have a listen. The sound is a bit low at first, after a few seconds later it gets louder. I recorded this video on my Mobile phone. Please get back to me, thanks in advance.

Here is a sakhi I came across on Sikhsangat.com, posted by "jassa", thought i'd share it with you lot.
"in satyugh when devils gained power and inder and devta army was defeated by devils they went to akal purakh for help ... akal purakh create a part of its shakti to help devs which was known as chandi .... she killed many daints and helped devs get there raj back as in chandi di war .... but after 6 yugs of war against devils chandi started loosing its power ..... as shakti come from bhakti .... she left the battle field ... and went in mountains hiding and doing taap to gain power from akal purakh ... devil army came serching for her in mountains .... while looking for her they to place where there was an ashram of sadhus .... this place was HEMKUNTH SAHIB .... there was a rishi known as SUMAND RISHI .... sumand rishi was tegh bahadar sahib in satyugh .... devils asked them have they seen any women here ... rishes replyed no .... the leader of devil decided to kill all these saints .... and told his army to attack them ... on seeing this sumand rishi said to his followers we are saints we cant fight ... akal purkh will help us .... he use to sit on the skin of a lion ... he just took it in hands and asked akalpurkh to help him .... from that skin came out a warrior ... which had sarbloh all over his body .... he alone faught with this army of devils for 36 yughs .... while this battle is on ... chandi gained enough power from the taap and came in battle field .... to help him and they both killed all they devils .... this man which sumand rishi created was named as DUSHATDAMAN .... guru gobind singh sahib in sat yugh ...
then chandi told dushat daman as he had helped her in sat yugh ..... she will help him in kalyugh .... when he will start a new panth .... and will always help her panth in battle field ... after saying this chandi went back where she came from that is in param jot of akalpurkh ....
in kall yugh ... guru sahib decided to create khalsa and decided to call bhagouti .... he order that any one who can call chandi will be given reward ... so a sadu from kashi came to anadpur sahib .... he said he is blessed and can call chandi with his yugh .... guru sahib told him to go on ... he did yugh for 9 months non stop ... at that time the expense of yugh is 10000 rs a day .... after 9 months he failed to call chandi ... so he told guru sahin that chandi is asking for a balli .... they should give the bali of there son that is baba ajit singh then only chandi will give them darshan ....
guru sahib replyed ajit singh is a khatri ... it would be better if the balli is given of a brahmin .... so guru ji will give that sadus balli tomorrow .... on hearing this ... that sadhu on that very night ran away to kashi ...
after that guru sahib went to place of veshnu devi in anadpur sahib ... did taap there .... on the 40 th day chandi gave guru sahib darshan .... and presented him a khanda with which khalsa was created later .... and told them that akal purkh wants his khalsa to be a kessa dhari and a jaati ...."

Yeah thats a nice T-shirt.
Once my Muslim mate showed me the word Allah (in Arabic) and then he rearranged the letters to show Om, then I showed him what Ik Ong Kar looks like. Then I told him this is the Oneness of God.

I love looking at theses old style pictures.

Nihang Ji didn't say only Nihangs wore helmets, or even that Nihangs wore them if i remember correctly. He was showing an example of a Sikh helmet. From what I know, they were only ever worn by Sardaars (generals) in Ranjit Singhs (M) armies, they were normally quite elaborate and expensive to make, hence the generally worn by the more wealthy members and associates of the "royal" family or generals etc.
Nihangs wore and wear dhumalla's of various sorts, whic also serve the purpose of carrying shastar and identifying Akali Singhs.
Sorry. Thanks for correcting me. I think Niddar Singh also said that Dhumallay were worn over the Turban Helmet?
-
I was at this talk too. I thought it was excellent! And Niddar Singh showed a Helmet (worn over the Keski) worn by the Nihangs and I thought woww, we already had them! On the top of the Helmet was even room for your kesh on the top.

That's disgusting work. If you have to do it, do it properly, if not that dont do it.

I was just thinking Sheshnaag as well. Steven Seagal's good in his techniques. Another similar system to Aikido is Hapkido but Hapkido is more of a kicking style. Hapkido is a Korean style but traces its history to China.
The following clip is from the film "Hapkido":

sorry my mistake, my oh my my theology lessons are taking a tole on my annunciation and pronunciation!
lol no I thought I was wrong. Thats why I asked? :?

One thing Mahakaal Singh, isnt it Aad Guru Granth not Adi? Because I thought it was Aad Granth meaning First Guru Granth? Like in Jap Ji Sahib? Because Adi means half.

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal!
Dear all and Shaheediyan Jee!
Thanks for your reference. Sorry I do not know this Granth. Please let me know which Guru wrote it and when. I will be grateful.
In Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, Guru Gobind Singh Jee did not add His Hymns. May I ask if they were compiling a parallel Granth under His instructions?
**************
By the way attributes of 'Khaalsaa' in this Hymn might be different from the properties of a person who loves to extend his name with the extension 'Khaalsaa'.
I observed another very interesting point in this Hymn. This Sabad is often using words 'mayraa' and 'mayro'. While in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, the Gurus are often using words 'tayraa' and 'tayro'.
Balbir Singh
Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote this bani.

Here is a documentary about the One Inch Punch. In the documentary it'll also show you how to do it. The documentary is 7 minutes long, enjoy!

The concept which I think is similar to Shastar Vidiya is Jeet Kun Do. i.e. Applying a different pantera when needed, not sticking to one only.
Here are 9 video clips, each one about 3 minutes long, so take your time watching this. In the video are some training techniques and things that would make you think about making an execution. I thought this video was pretty good itself. Take your time viewing it.

lol. Of course the role of Avatar and Reincarntion is not understood by them. But how does Shia Islam differ?
