  1. so the only time i might feel bliss is when i listien to music, which i wish i could stop also in order to only live off the love of the lord through meditation.

    Who says listening to music is bad? Dont listen to theses people that say listening to music is bad, its because of music we have kirtan as well.

    Its good that your doing simran. Someone told me that doing simran makes your life confortable? But what does this mean? Does it mean that life will get a LOT easiler? Does it mean that your not ganna get any bad vibes? Well from personal experiences my life after doing simran has made me deal with problems better but problems in my life are still there. But knowing I feel there IS this kind of support for me in Naam (God), its stops me sinking to the bottom into hell. I really feel God has helped me in my life but i now feel that without God I would imagine myself to be lost.

    People like me only want a confortable life, money, riches which isnt bad but its bad when you let theses matrial things get to you and get attached to them, then you start forgetting God and forgetting God we become blind and sink right to the bottom in our own pride and wealth.

    Whoever asks for a difficult life?

    The sikhs which have died to uphold Dharma (righteousness) died for us (Hindu's, Sikhs, Muslims etc). They had difficult times but they had the support of God.

    Life is a battlefield your mind is the sword. Mun Jeetay Jug Jeet (Win your mind Win the lands).

    The best way I can think of doing simran is by putting your problems in heart and then let theses problems burn in the Naam with Love.

    And try to remember God in both in Good and Bad times and God will be there for you in both Good and bad times.

    Please read the link, this was a cyber Hukamnama: http://www.sikhnet.com/sggs/translation/1046.html

    Please God let me never forget about you and what you have done for me, I am just a begger at your house.

  2. Ive been going Shaster Vidiya and have also noticed that some moves from Shaster Vidiya are also are in bhangra like Gidah which is cute (cant think of any words to describe this). And there is a Penthra by Shiv Ji which was described by my Gurdev as being the most powerful? But Shiv Ji was also know for his dancing as well. But I think this is a common trend, matrial arts and dancing are both interlinked.

    SAdmin, the link didnt work for me? I used both FireFox and Internet Explorer, but no luck?

  3. So the idealistic passionate youngster must begin to see reformist change as the only way out. He is taken at once by the propaganda, and must begin to see everything and anything as a problem to be solved. He will complain about the caste system, about gender inequality, about this and that, about how Sikhs cut their hair, Rakhri, photos of Gurus, about whatever. And at once the young sikh has been made a tool of the Enlightened reformists. But how can you sustain such an ideology? Only by bringing out and cultivating the questioning young boy's idealism. Then the real world is something that must be opposed and ideals to reign supreme. Once this is established, the idealist can carry any number of delusions in his head without a problem - equality - not a problem, it is possible, after all it was once attained by the gurus, we can do it again. This benovolent passion gently dulls the intellect, while convincing the victim that it is the rest of the world which is irrational, inconsistent and ruinous. The 'problems' of society are blown up at once and made into these insurmountable obstacles. The youngster is left alone to battle against the impossible. And this, I ask you, is it any way to treat a young man of our community? Is this a way to treat our future sikhs?

    I dont think theses are ideas of equality but more to do with ideology. For years ive been trying to push myself to be like somebody else. Try to fit in their ideology. Truth is I feel theses idealistic people are afaird of themselves, they dont understand themselves.

    Ive read Sikh stories which some people have quickly said its anti-sikh, they say this because they have a different vision or idea. They dont even consider or try to understand what the theme of the story might be like, they dont put themselves into the story tellers shoes. If theses stories are false then why write about it and waste time? Warriors are born by the tyrants, without the tyrants there would be peace. Who is your tyrant? Your tyrant is probilby someone or something which makes you who you are. Your mind is the sword, once you are in control of your mind you are the high clan warrior. People like me just need to know how to use it. People think that by killing the mind you are free. But this isnt so, the mind is jot saroop, we just have to recognise it, this is what Guru Ji also says.

    Im glade that Sikhawareness.com is what it is. Because I feel the topics that we discuss goes behond the usual topics which go on in other forums.

    I still feel its good to treat others as you would like to be treated. As Guru Ji said dont give others fear and dont let fear rule you.

    Nothing is inferior or superior, its only peoples preferences that makes something taste better than the other. Who you find attractive someone else might not even consider attractive. Why dont everyone buy the same car?

  4. This is an interesting topic now. I believe people grow at different rates, the rate of someones interlect to grow is different. At school I wasnt the best at maths, in High school for my maths I didnt get a high grade, I think I got an F or something? But when I got to college and done my Maths GCSE again I got a C. During College I also felt I havent develeped myself or weither or not if I knew myself? I feel its important to understand yourself, become formilar with yourself. So in essence believing in equality would be first understanding yourself first? Then to treat others as you would want to be treated? Dont say things which upset you to others? But more importantly knowing your trueself first and not being scared of what you are. Guru Ji says conquer your mind and you conquer the world.

    If we picture ourselves as flowers in a gardern, water doesnt get to all plants at the same time. Some dont get any water. Also there are weeds in this gardern which stunt our growth. But we can also say that theses flowers and weeds are apart of the same gardern.

    Another example, If you look at a portrait of a picture you see different colours and shades and also different forms. If everything was to be the same, we would probilby get a colour which is plain. Looking at colours close up you cant dont see the beauty but looking even more further away we start to see forms and shapes, then you see a bigger picture and see how things interlink.

    Ive also come across an interesting site during the same time. http://www.eugenics.net/papers/Q&a.html

  5. Ive also asked him myself but he keeps giving me the same replay to me which is soon. He said that the book itself would about about 300,000 or over words? Ive also asked him about the websites but he said soon because he says hes been busy.

  6. Rahat Maryada:

    Rahat = Stay

    Mar = Death

    Yada = Remember

    Stay in the remembrance of death. Guru Ji told all Sikhs to remember Death.

    I dont know if you guys seen Batman Begins. One of the guy said, "Become One with the Darkness".

    In Sikhi Death also means God.

    And I think Bruce Lee said once in one of his films to get good at dying.

    This is an interesting topic.
