Unfortunately theft at the Harimandir Sahib complex happens everyday.

The best targets are NRI who after a 9+ hours flight go to the Harimandir Sahib carrying their passports and money with them. There have been many cases of such people having their passport and money stolen. The SGPC task force know exactly who the thieves are but are reluctant to take action. It is as if they get a cut from the thieves.

The golak money getting stolen has been happening for years. I think the SGPC got upset as outsiders did the stealing in this case and not one of their own people.

It will further be in the reference and as Veer Vijaydeepji' s friend had a chat with someone elsewhere, recently, a Sikh Bibi residing in Distt Nainitaal (UP) told that a three day Diwaan was organized in NainiTaal area where Ranjit Singh "baba" had to make Katha for 3 days. But when the Sangat collected, programme started. The Incharge Bibiji, came on the stage and begged pardon from the Sangat that the Babaji is not coming because previously he did not tell the amount of money to be taken by him in lieu of Katha and that now he has demanded more than Rs 3 Lakhs, which they could not pay. Sangat requested that programme may be carried on by Katha Kirtan by other preachers/ Gursikhs. This is an example sufficient to see the actual things.

He refutes this allegation in the video link posted by someone. He says he told the organisers that he could not make the event but they still advertised it with him on their posters. Then on the day of the event they told everyone that he asked for lots of money.

Another local case in the UK. Girl comes from India, stays with her husband and has two kids. I remember going to the Harimandir Sahib in the 1990s and seeing Sikh kids being forced to basically beg. They were given banners (I think they were children of Shaheed) and made to sit and beg. Later the Jathedar of the Akal Takht Bhai Sahib Ranjit Singh Ji put a stop to this. The sad thing was the people running the orphanage for the kids had a lot of money being sent to them from overseas but for some reason rather than sending the kids to school they were using the kids to make more money.

There are other incidents of the overseas sangat sending gifts to these children and those running the orphanages not passing the gifts on. Peopel used these kids to make a quick buck.

I suggest you look back at the evolution of the horse. Start by looking at race horses from the early 20th century and compare them with race horses of today. There is a very noticable difference in the physical stature of horses.

Do you think Guru Gobind Singh Ji only had one horse and went every where on that ? Horses do get tired and I have heard that Guru Hargobind Ji used to keep many horses at different locations so when travelling Guru Ji could swap to a fresh horse.

I would rather trust artists impressions based on seeing Guru Gobind Singh Ji than images based just on imagination. The first pahari picture posted is said to have been done when Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited the court of one of the hill rajas. I would rather trust that as a true depiction of Guru Gobind Singh Ji than something Sobha Singh made up.

You may prefer modern pop art type images but you still have to bear in mind that some of these pahari pictures date back to the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

There is what is claimed to be an actual picture done when Guru Gobind Singh Ji was visiting one of the hill rajas. It is displayed every now and then. I saw it at the posh new building (study centre ?) that has gone up in the grounds of Gurdwara Rakab Ganj.

From what I recall that picture posted above looks nothing like image that was on display. The dastaar is way off the mark and the face was more rounded than shown in the above painting.

The regular Khalsa forces during the Misal period were not all Nihang so read up on your history. In fact the majority of the Jathedar during the Misal period were non Nihang as were the mass of the regular servicemen.
