EXCLUSIVE Chicago (KP) - On the night of November 17 at 11:20 p.m a member of the Chicago Sikh Sangat received a phone call informing him that the van of self-styled 'Sant Baba' Daljeet Singh was at a local motel while the Sant was ‘enjoying’ himself in the company of a woman.

Man in court over temple violence

A 47-year-old man from Coventry charged in connection with a disturbance during a Diwali celebration at a Sikh temple has been remanded in custody.

Six people went to hospital with cuts and bruises following the incident at the temple on the Queensway Trading Estate in Leamington Spa on Saturday.

Jasvinder Singh Ubhi, of Court House Green, will now appear before magistrates in Leamington next week.

He was charged with wounding with intent and violent disorder.

I am not advocating attacking people ! In fact I think it was appaling that those old men attacked the people who had come to demonstrate. Self defence is not a crime unless unreasonable force is used.

Please explain the dignified manner of resolving the problem.

Bear in mind that the local sangat had asked the committee to stop the parties in the past but no one took any notice of them.

I think there is always a fringe element who do go to these protests with violence in mind. This happened in the Bezhti incident. They tarnish the reputation of not just the law abiding demonstrators but of the Sikh Quam and as such I am all for punishing them as well.

I m sure the MP and councillour have bigger things to worry about.

Pointless remark. The Akal Takht is not just for those in India. People from other countries have been summoned and appeared before the Akal Takht in the past.

But I suppose you are right. Those who can use Guru Ghar buildings for sharab parties will have little respect for the Akal Takht. But it might still be possible to summon these committee wale when they visit India.

If what is written is true and this drinking etc took place in the Guru Ghar building and not the tachbrook centre then these elederly people deserved their shithar. There was a simlar story on Star news on friday where a young boy claimed he was the rebirth of a murdered man. Everything was going great until they started questioning the boy. His gran who was sat with him was openly whispering the answers to him. The interviewer told her to stop telling the boy the answers but she still persisted.

Sure there can be Sant.

But as the old saying goes only a Sant can recognise a Sant and seeing as these Sant Samaj wale accept rapists and peadophiles as members of their little gang it begs the question whether such people are Sant. If they were Sant they would recognise rapists for what they were and never accept them into their little cosy union.

Therefore, there is no need for you to keep arguing that Guru Ji is referred to as the only sant Ji in Shabad Hazaare because that has no relevance to a debate on who a sant is because now you are admitting that Guru Ji are not the only sant.

In Shabad Hazereh Guru Arjun Dev Ji clearly mentions Guru Ramdass Ji as Gur Sant. So Guru Arjun Dev Ji has clearly set the standard for who is a Sant. Does anyone seriosuly think that these dere wale Sant Samajis are equal to our Guru Ji ?

I have never said that Guru Ji are the only Sant. The Bhagat whos bani is included in our Guru Granth Sahib Ji are also Sant.

Physical meetings do not really matter. Remember that many of the Bhagats whos bani is contained in our Guru Granth Sahib Ji were born a few centuries before our Guru Ji. But our Guru Ji still recognised them as Sant and included their bani in Guru Ji. Bhagat Kabir no doubt also had the ability to recognise Sant.

Here is my solution to your problem.

1. Pick up a map and locate all the sant mahapursh i have mentioned.

2. Pick up your motor bike

3. start going to each sant mahapursh dera and ask them questions directly.

Please be sensible when you ask questions..because this is not internet ..you might run into trouble by sevadars of the mahapursh...

Here is another alternative way to find who is real sant or who is not if you got enuf juice...

Have your gang ready...and announce in the pind...who is real the sant ? come out because i need to drink your "blood".......real humble sant will come if there will be any- ask you puttar you need to suck my blood..here is my full body...chop me into peaces by peaces..it's all for the sangata.

Yes of cause they do not use Sant, thats why they have the Sant Samaj organisation. Thats why every other wall you see in Punjab has been flyposted with Sant NNNNNN Singh Brahmgiani posters. Thats why Ranjit Singh has a sign outside his dera with the word Sant before his name. Thats why Ranjit Singh allows t-series to use Sant as part of his name on his tapes, vcd and cds.

Starts with Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Then drops to Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji on the right hand side and Shaheed Mani Singh Ji on the left hand side.

I know its not the dayaloo thing to say, but these people, and the families who support and allow their behaviour, need their heads kicked in.

The families of the brides who are ready to marry their daughters to anyone as long as they are a NRI or PIO settled overseas also need their heads kicked in. I know of a few cases where the brides families were told that the grooms were not of good charachter - had girlfriends, took drugs, were alcoholics etc BUT the families ignored these anti social habbits as they wanted their daughters to go overseas. They even mortgaged farm land to give the grooms family a good party. Some have even had to sell land to pay debts.

I know of a few brides who were married to seriously hendicapped guys. Nothing wrong with that but after a few years and with fresh indefinite stay stamps in their passports they soon started shouting the odds for divorce etc.

It works both ways but the issue of bad brides issue is never discussed.
