  1. You still havent proven that Baba Ranjit Singh made up stories, so your argument is futile. He speaks about the Guru's and praises them, if you can't hear that, then do Ardas for yourself. I wouldn't shoot you even if you did make up stories, Vaheguru will judge the people who spread Nindhia.

What do you think he talks about? Daler Mehndi and Aishwaryia Rai?

FYI no one raises their hands up in their air, maybe you are confusing the sangat for a yoga class at your local gym. There are Kathakaar who discuss and read the Bani and make speeches like Sant Singh Maskeen and Proff Darshan Singh Jee, you gonna ban them too? They talk about what Guru Jee says in our language, so does Baba Ranjit Singh, I havent heard him relate fairytales like sleeping beauty yet have you?

Firstly, you need to back up what you are implying. Are you saying Baba Ranjit Singh has gone against Guru Jee? If so, and it seems so from your post, then this is a serious allegation and I wonder who gave you the responsibility of deeming who is a Patit. Secondly, I wouldn't need to cuss your family if they went against Guru Jee, the fact that they have turned away is a slap in the face itself.

Your quote was irrelevant to the subject matter, but thanks for posting it as it is nice to read Bani whenever possible.

FYI he does get the sangat to raise hands up in the air.

  2. The entire structure of the Indian Hockey Fed is wrong. You get players like Dhanraj Pillay who used to be a great player still getting into the national team although he has lost that little extra pace he used to have. New players are not bought in until the older lot retire. The established players have no pressure on them so they do not push themselves.

  3. Its quite sad that people today are so evil that they are using Darbar Sahib as a commercial entity.

This really angers me. moreover why are we as a people not doing anything? where the f**k is the unity of the sikh people? these people, jagir kaur (brings shame to the name kaur), badal..etc. should be slapped up and killed.

problem is Panjabi Sikhs in Panjab don't really give a toss.

People outside Panjab, especially RICH PANJABI SIKHS now think they can just waltz in throw $20million dollars and install some stupid filteration systems that don't even work properly and think they own the place.

    We need a revolution.

We need another Jarnail Singh. (sadly our people at that time got so sucked into properganda against him, they did not fully support him, else 1984 would never had happened).

how much more longer is this evil going to go on?

    how much?

Sorry I am just so ^%%$%$% angry. I'm gonna go cool off.

    sorry.

With regard to rich punjabis throwing money at the water filtration system. This was an idea dreamt up by some kar seva wale. The Tutt brothers from the USA agreed to pay for this. They did not seek any publiciy for this and remained very much in the back ground. This is unlike the Soho Road wale who like to mention/boast about the kwik fit gold plating job they did. I went to a wedding at Soho Road Gurdwara a few months ago and the Giani took time out to mention how they used money doanted for marvelous projects like the GOLD PLATING etc.

During the sarovar seva, the kar seva wale wanted to make a bit of money /donations from overseas Sikhs so they started giving them special passes so only these overseas wale could do "seva" in the sarovar. Of cause this was wrong but this was all down to the kar seva wale. This gave locals a bad impression of the overseas Sikhs waltzing around thinking they owned the sarovar becasue some kar sava wala gave them a special pass.

  4. Tsingh veerji, just a note about copying images..a webmaster can disable copy picture/save picture as but it's quite easy to do a Print Screen and crop your photo in an imaging software, I would recommend putting watermarks too..but then again those who want something will remove those too..sigh..

Waste of time trying to disable things.

In Internet Explorer click on file menu then save as and as file type select web page complete. IE will download the complete page including the pictures from the web site. This works even if you think you have disabled the ability to right click and save pictures.

I have just used this method and got all the pictures at http://www.sewapanthi.org/htmls/sewapanthi.html . Of cause this was only for research purposes and I have now deleted them off my HD.

  5. >>Where were all these experts before why did they not offer help when the seva started the Jatha would never refuse seva from anyone. If all the experts decided to help instead of just sit back and then criticise then the seva could have been 100x better.

The experts were there, but ignored by the Soho Road Wale. The experts did not crawl out the woodwork years later as some Soho Road followers will have you believe.

The room where the panels are being kept does not look like a proper storage facility. In the west they used humidity/temperature controlled rooms to house priceless items but as can be seen in the pictures a room with dodgy looking shelfing will do for our Gold Panels.

Amandeep veerji, we need to take this process forward. I understand what you are saying and know that you have tried in the past but we need to restart dialogue with Bhai Mohinder Singh Ji. If an open meeting was called would you be willing to take part ?

How many other brothers and sisters would be willing to take part ?

Everyone could air their views and the meeting could be recorded and put on the internet so everyone can learn what was said by both sides.

  6. Yes, the story about parading through Pataila wearing nothing but a jewelled Breastplate in an excited state is another great story that Indian folk historians love to tell. The 365 wives thing comes from the fact that the Shish Mahal has 365 windows in the quarters thought to be the Zenana. This is not an indication of 365 wives, but an old architectural convention which was used from the time of the Mughals.

In fact during the tenure of Yadvinder Singh and whilst Chandigarh was being built he rehoused the wives of his father (18 in all I think) from the old palace in Pataial to new kothis in a single sector in Chandigarh. Some are still around and have wonderful tales to tell.

Indians seem pre-occupied with the sexual exploits of Maharajahs. I forget the name ofthe book but there was something published from the 1970s that was the recollections of one of Bhupinder Singh's valets/secretaries and this seems to have originated most of the sexual myths abuot him.

The book was : Maharaja, Lives & Loves & Intrigues Of Indian Princes by Diwan Jarmani Dass who during his career served both Maharaja Bhupinder Singh and Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Kapurthala. He wrote the book at the request the Congress party. He even staked claim to Kapurthala House in Delhi claiming he paid Maharaja Jagjit Singh RS1.5 Lakh for it in 1950. The supreme court rejected the claim in September 2004.

  7. Some years ago I was approached by the family of a Stella Mudge. She was an east-end dancing girl who cought the eye of M Parmajeet Singh - the then heir to the Kapurthala Royal family. Mudge married Pamrjeet as his second (or possibly third) wife much to the amusement of the Punjabi peasantry who called her Rani Mudge ! They stayed variously in London, Kapurthala, Dekhi and Paris. She shunned her own family and lived a secluded life when Parmajeet dies in the 1950s (I think). Mudge herself dired in England, still in seclusion, in the 1990s and her family swarmed onto her home to look for the famous Kapurthala jewels that she was reported to have been given by her husband - they found nothing but a aset of keys to safety deposit boxes but no clue whatsopever as to where the bank account was. The family was desperate to find out where the bank / deposit boxes could be and were working hard to trace any route they could to her life as a maharani. As far as I know they are still looking

    aman

There was a Kapurthala safety box in some French bank (I think in Paris). there was a court case to decide who could have it and the current head of the Kapurthala royals (I think Maharaja Sukhjit Singh) won the case. It was opened and found to contain gold watches and other jewels (I think £600K worth). I read this a while back but am unable to find the source for this currently.

  8. The Ms Scandelous album is a waste of money (or bandwidth if dowloading). I only found one decent song on there and that was the one she does nothing on. Her rapping or whatever she calls it sounds repetitive and the style very dated.
