i recently went to india and met santa singh, hes not so good health wise and dont speak much but i asked his other gursikhs about the kar sewa and what happened. They said well if satkar wanna pay for it, its still the jantas money, still public money. The sikh sangat could have saved the moeny they were gonna spend and built something else like a college or hospital, but as everyone was hurt at the time they just saw that it was just accepting blood money etc the gov that attacked our home are now wanting to give us money to repair the damage they did.

the thing is Gurdwaras now dont wanna lose out on the money, hence they wanna offer this kinda service, they are just becoming wedding palaces

Jaz you got to remember he made a comment about the sants in india who are taking advantage of alot of uneducated people. just cos he speaks the truth people try to slience others. Why cant people just talk instead they sort it out the punjabi way. From my knowledge the khanda originaly was just a double edge sword, the Khanda you see nower days with the chakar, the chakar was added after the Singh Sahba movement. But i have also heard that the Khanda the nihungs wear on their dumalas is the original one. but i have also heard that we as sikhs dont really have a symbol as such.
