No Islam or Christian beliefs can change that. When the guru's word abides with one's soul, nobody can take that away from them, it is indestructable. It has been evident all throughout the short Sikh history. Just ask the great Sikh martyrs Bhai Satidass Ji, Bhai Dayal Dass Ji, Bhai Mani Singh Ji, Bhai Subeg Singh Ji, Bhai Shahbaz Singh Ji, Guru Gobind Singh Ji's four sons, and hundreds of Sikh women who had their childrens' body parts tied around their necks but they did not convert to Islam because they had the Naam with their 'saas saas' with each and every breath. That was just a few. All the hukumats of this world tried their best to eliminate the Sikhs from the face of this earth but to no avail. It is mission impossible because Truth cannot be destroyed!

  3. the new calendar nanaksahi calendar is based on universally accepted solar system; the old calendar had followed the lunar system for fixing dates (gurpurbs, birth and death dates of the gurus, historic occasions, etc.) On Bikarami samvat calculations which means dates are fixed afresh every year. Bikarmi year being longer than a solar year by about 20 minutes, it creates a difference of almost one full day over a period of 70 years. Over the centuries, the accumulative difference had led to many problems. Primarily, certain occasions came to be observed at least twice in a single year or within a short span of time;as last year Gurpurb of Guru Teg Bahadur, observed on November 24 and again on December 13; the present controversy being on the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh, January 5 and January 14. tis whole problem is sort out wit nanaksahi calendar.tis is made by mr. purewal. The 'Nanakshahi' calendar is based on solar principles, instead of lunar principles. In it Sikh festivals have been fixed for every year and do not keep shifting as in old calendars.
  4. naAMnutz n dragonballZ Ok daas n dasndas were chillin n sittin by the TV watchin dey favorite toonz Dragon ballZ... but dasndas being a girl n all waz gettin kinda bored. Thing waz there waz tunez runnin n her mind... somethin she'd heard early in de mornin last time she n daas went for a sleepover at dey favorite culprit koolpreetz house. J She cudn't get dis persistant naggin little waheguru waheguru waheguruooo sound outa her head no matter how many episodez ov Dragon ballZ dey watched... "Com on daas, she called to her brother, letz do sumpthin else plzzzzz. comon letz go outside", n she ran to put on her brand new blue 'haiku' shoez- dey looked just like de ones da kartoon kidz wore, wit big wide sturdy heelz for hikin, n kickin it. "daaaaaaas" "Hold on sis, i'm comin, waz up?" he asked her grabbin hiz chupplez "n what are doze you R wearin on you feet, icy blue, satin, padded, zig zag design, slip on, runnin shoez?" "Dey R ma ‘haiku’ shoez daas i got dem at da mall." "Uh sis WOT iz a ‘haiku’ shoe?" "Well deyz hikin shoez dat slip on, n dey look like Gohans shoez on TV, n he’z japaneze, n so is ‘haiku poetry’, which is 3 linez of 5-7-5 syllables each, and ‘tanka’ is 2 more linez of 7 silly-ballz,J dat you kin throw like dragon ballz at you enemiez hee hee… like dis daas,… n it don even hafta rhyme…" (5) Evil monsterz ALL (7) i have you in my power (5) EAT my dragon ballZ She finished up her ‘haiku’ lines wit ‘tanka’... (7) You wanted to be SO big (7) Conquered bet you feel real small "UM sis i think U were right, you ha been watchin WAY 2 much TV or somethin..." "Well daas herez da real problem. Ever since sleepin over at koolpreetz house i got dis waheguroo buzzin going on n ma head, n it won't go away. So making up ‘haikuz’ distractz me a little, but den itz right back to waheguru waheguru," she complained shakin her head between her handz frownin. "But dat'z a good thing sis" "How is buzzin wahegurooz a good thing daas?" "Well cuz wahegurooo it’s like de most AWESOME power of all!" "Even more den when you get all 7 dragon ballz n you kin make a wish, even bring someone back to life –?" "waheguru is WAY more powerful den dat, when fighting de 5 enemiez ov da sensez da monsterz lust(kaam) anger(krodh) greed(lobh) attachment(moh) pride(ankhar) dat R alwayz threatenin to take over someonez kool …, it slayz dem and turnz em into you servantz n makes you da Master." "Master a wot daas?" "Master ov you self, Master ov you ego homai, Master ov all you desirez." "You mean like even when you want pizza n pepsi n candy you can’t resist even when you know it better for you to eat vegetables like subzi roti cuz you den won get zitz?" "Sure sis. J " "But daas what makes waheguru SO powerful?" "Cuz you get it from panj pyare, de 5 beloved onez, when dey baptize you n give you AMrit to drink, da immortalizing nectar ov eternal life dat releasez you from de clutchez of dem jyamin dudez da ‘jyam dutes’ da sinister administerz ov death." "Dey sound pretty scary daas" "Yah dey iz REAL scary sis, n dat why ya wanna get baptized n give you head n drink AMrit n get up early n da mornin like koolpreet who lovez hiz kool doz, doin da naAM simran, rememberin da name waheguru wahegur waheguru waheguroo,… n do da daily nitname prayerz too, cuz dat way you kin win da battle of da sensez, n not looze you kool…, n whenever after dat, you do naAM sayin waheguru waheguru, its like havin a ‘khanda ov naAM’, a double sided sword that cutz both wayz through all adversariez… n dats why if ya make mistakez, ya gotta go for pesh, n confess up. Cuz mistakez are like dullin your sword… n den when you get given a ‘tanka’, a task to do afterwardz, its jus like sharpenin up your sword again so you kin fight off all da enemiez dat corrupt da mind n weaken someone… "A ‘tanka’ daas, like in ‘haiku’?" "Well kinda sis. Cuz it sorta finishes thingz up -K, makez em tight. Ya set stuff straight n makes it all good again." "Kool." "Exactly sis, n wotz really important is hangin out wit da sangat, who iz you matez who drank up da AMrit. Cuz den jus like when sleepin over at koolpreetz n heard him doin waheguru waheguru in da mornin, it got you waheguru waheguru goin too. So its makez all of us together like an army of invincible warriorz against all evil doinz. " "WOW daas how’d you find out about all dis?" "At da camp I went to last summer sis" "Maybe I kin go too next time." dasndas considered her many mistakez. Like da monster guyz in her ‘haiku’ defeated by her actionz n reactionz… she felt kinda small too… Made her wonder what kinda ‘tanka’ she'd get when she went to da 5 belovedz panj pyare for pesh on bhaisaki day n gave her head again? …No matter, she'd press her palmz together n bow slightly… sayin thankya for takin her head… Wazn't much good to her, cuz it WAZ buzzin wit waheguru wahegurooo anyhow, n she jus cudn't think a anythin else no matter how hard she tried, waheguroo kept comin back... So she might az well get her khanda ov naAM all sharpened up n go to battle wit her weaknessez n get her kool back n straighten up her sensez... She looked down at her ‘haiku’ shoez…n smiled… She cud almost imagine herself zoomin up like a rocket, fightin off de terrorz of da universe, da 5 enemies kaam khrodh lobh moh n ankhar,- fightin n slashin dem wit her of khanda ov naAM hhhm hhhm hmmm she thought to herself...ha ha ha HAAAA kaam krodh ankhar moh lobh Monstrously Evil i battle you NOW hee hee Fallen under de khanda ov naAM you don look so big mÚ 4 ] mu 4 || Fourth Mehl: hir hir nwmu inDwnu hY gurmuiK pwieAw jwie ] har har naam nidhaan hai gurmukh paaiaa jaae || The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the greatest treasure. 5. AmritVela Songbird Taan Sain was the best musician in Emperor Akbar's court. Each evening he would sing for the Emperor who was a lover of the arts and would greatly appreciate the musician. He would shower many gifts and praises onto the musician. One evening, after a particularly beautiful performance by the musician, the Emperor called Taan Sain to his palace and said, "Today you overwhelmed me. While I was listening to you sing, a thought occurred to me and that thought was that you are the best musician on this Earth. But as soon as that thought had trespassed my mind, I thought about the great teacher who must have taught you must also be great. That's the reason I asked for you. Pray tell me, who is your teacher and how can he or she come to this court to perform for the Kingdom." Taan Sain smiled and said, "Sire, my teacher is full of wonders. But I know him enough to tell you that he will not come to this court." The Emperor said, "Of course we will do his seva quite handsomely..." Taan Sain, "With due respect, Sire, no amount of seva will bring my teacher to your court." This greatly intrigued the Emperor, "Surely there is a way that I could listen to your teacher sing. If he will not come here, perhaps we can go to him." Taan Sain again smiled, "Sire, my teacher is carefree and he might not like us going to him." Emperor, "But surely, my good man, there must be a way." Taan Sain thought a while and said, "Well, there is one way. My teacher usually sings in the early mornings by the Ganga River. If the Raja insists, then we must be discreet and hide nearby and listen to him at that time." The Emperor was a spiritual man and he did wake up at early hours of the morning anyway, so he arranged for them to be taken to a place where Taan Sain's teacher bathed and sang. Both the Emperor and Taan Sain reached the river bank at 1 am and hid in nearby bushes. As was the daily routine of Taan Sain's teacher, he came to the river at 1.30 am, bathed and sat on the river bank and sang. His song was so great that it completely mesmerized the Emperor. The Emperor could not speak or move, and just sat like a stone idol for entire time the teacher sang. Even after the teacher had left, the Emperor had to be nudged from his vismad smadhi by Taan Sain. The Emperor half dreamily walked back to the carriage which had brought them to the river bank. The Emperor remained in vismad for the whole ride back and indeed, the whole day. After that evening's performance, the Emperor summoned Taan Sain to his palace again and said, "Taan Sain, your teacher is wonder itself. I am very, very curious at one thing. I love your singing but if you wouldn't mind, I would request you answer one question." Taan Sain, "Sire, please ask this servant any question." The Emperor, "With much due respect, I thought that you were the best on this Earth, but your teacher far surpresses you. I do not wish to offend you in any way, but please tell me how is this possible that your teacher's talent is eons deeper than yours?" Taan Sain laughed and said, "Rajan, I perform for you, he performs for God." ------------------------------------------ Meri pyare guru jee dee pyari pyari sakhiooos, Taan Sain performed for worldly people. His teacher performed for Waheguru. Taan Sain's song was like a rose. His teacher's song was like a bed of freshly-blossomed and fragrance-laden roses dancing in the wind. Taan Sain performed for worldly people. His teacher performed for Waheguru. At the hour that our overwhelmingly-loving guru calls "Amrit Vela" we perform for Waheguru. No one else. There is no doubt that when we do seva and sing keertan at the gurudwara, we do it sincerely and with faith. But I will tell, my friends, there is always a hint of humai (ego) hidden in our actions. When we do good keertan, we wait for someone to say, "Wah, Wah." But at the time that our overwhelming-ras-filled guru calls "Amrit Vela", there is no one there except guru. Only guru, pyareo, guru. Then we please the guru and the guru only. The guru loves us then. The guru then has the chance to splash us with the guru's overflowing maddening prem, love, ras and jot. The time that our very own father, mother and overwhelmingly unconditionally-loving guru calls "Amrit Vela" is the beginning of sikhi. It is the beginning of our path to the guru's warm and sukh- sagar bosom. Pyareoo, make that leap. Start Amrit Vela naam simran TODAY and feel the essence of sikhi and the guru blossoming inside your heart. Pyareooo, do ardas for everyone that all sikhawareness sakhis may start Amrit Vela simran TODAY. Do not delay. It is "now" or never. waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru..........
  6. When I was at College...(intresting) When I was at college, I was just one of the guys, I drank, Smoked, did drugs, and played with the girls, and I used to love it! Trying to get the best looking girls and thinking I was the man….. I would shave my head every Sunday with a razor! And kept my goatee trim for Monday. I would also show off my tattoos to the girls and thought I was tupac’s brother!! One day, when I was bunking off my lessons as usual at college, one of my mates had kept his kes and wore a dastaar (pugh). I went up to him, and said “bruv, what are you doing? You aint gonna get the girls like that. Why have you kept your hair and beard?†you see I never had a clue about Sikhi. He said to me “Do you know your Guru?†I just looked at him with a blank face! He then asked me “do you know your 10 Guru’s in order†You know what I said? I said shamefully “I know the first one! Whats his name again?†My friend then said to me “Just find out about your Gurus and you will see†That thought had kept going through my head, I didn’t know why, but it kept ringing in my ears, “Find out about your Guru’s and you will see!†so I thought why not, I know more about Islam and Christianity than my own faith. I went home and picked up a book about the 10 Guru’s, I couldn’t stop from reading it, I felt so at peace with Guru jees teachings I felt like crying with joy. What I found in Guru jees teaching I couldn’t find nowhere else, no other religion, Guru jee was pulling me closer, closer. Guru jee had taught his Sikhs to meditate on Gods name “Vaheguruâ€, so I thought “why not†and try it. I went to a Simran (meditation) program, where people of my age, engaged in reciting Vaheguru’s name, and I felt so at peace, I joined in and was touched with love, I could feel Guru jees pyaar. No other buzz I had felt was good as this, no alcohol, no drugs no nothing! Nothing had beaten this buzz on Vahegurus name. After that I just wanted to get closer to Guru jee, Guru Granth Sahib jee. I took that step, and it was the best thing I had ever done, I wanted to know more and more. I was soo in love, I read the inspiring stories of the singhs and singhnees, I read about the equality between man and woman in Sikhi, Believe! its just beautiful! We just need to take that step towards Guru jee, my step was my friend who kept his kes, and reading simple stories of the Gurus. I took that one step, and Guru jee took a thousand steps towards me, with open arms, feel the love of Guru jee. All I say to my brothers and sisters, just take One step towards your Guru, whether it be a book, or a simran CD, or just reciting Vaheguru with pure love, and you will see! You will see Guru jee taking a thousand steps towards you!! Just take 10mins of your busy schedule to learn about Sikhi You are the future. You are the future Sikhs, we have to know about our roots, if we stop learning and caring about Sikhi then where will be in 20 years time? Guru jee loves you, he is our father, and lets show our father appreciation, do seva, do simran, help your brothers and sisters, join in the Sikh society at college or uni, help at the gurdwara. If I have made any mistakes, please forgive me, my humble apologies. Vaheguru jee kaa Khalsa Vaheguru jee kee fateh source: mail frm friend.
  7. Where does one go after death ? A.: According to Gurbani RAAMKALEE, FIFTH MEHL: The wind merges into the wind. The light blends into the light. The dust becomes one with the dust. What support is there for the one who is lamenting? || 1 || Who has died? O, who has died? O God-realized beings, meet together and consider this. What a wondrous thing has happened! ||1 || Pause || No one knows what happens after death. The one who is lamenting will also arise and depart. Mortal beings are bound by the bonds of doubt and attachment. When life becomes a dream, the blind man babbles and grieves in vain. || 2 ]] The Creator Lord created this creation. It comes and goes, subject to the Will of the Infinite Lord. No one dies; no one iscapable of dying. The soul does not perish; it is imperishable. || 3 || That which is known, does not exist. I am a sacrifice tothe one who knows this. Says Nanak, the Guru has dispelled my doubt. No one dies; no one comes or goes. || 4 || 10 ||
  8. The love program! Daina Ramchandani Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready to install it now. What do I do first? Tech Support: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART, ma'am? Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several other programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running? Tech Support: What programs are running, ma'am? Customer: Let's see... I have PAST-HURT.EXE, LOW-ESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE, and RESENTMENT.COM running now. Tech Support: No problem. LOVE will gradually erase PAST-HURT.EXE from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. LOVE will eventually overwrite LOW-ESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGH-ESTEEM.EXE. However, you have to completely turn off GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.COM. Those programs prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off, ma'am? Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how? Tech Support: My pleasure. Go to your Start menu and invoke FORGIVENESS.EXE. Do this as many times as necessary until it's erased the programs you don't want. Customer: Okay, now LOVE has started installing itself automatically. Is that normal? Tech Support: Yes. You should receive a message that says it will reinstall for the life of your HEART. Do you see that message? Customer: Yes, I do. Is it completely installed? Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other HEARTs in order to get the upgrades. Customer: Oops. I have an error message already. What should I do? Tech Support: What does the message say? Customer: It says "ERROR 412-PROGRAM NOT RUN ON INTERNAL COMPONENTS." What does that mean? Tech Support: Don't worry, ma'am, that's a common problem. It means that the LOVE program is set up to run on external HEARTs but has not yet been run on your HEART. It is one of those complicated programming things, but in non-technical terms it means you have to "LOVE" your own machine before it can "LOVE" others. Customer: So what should I do? Tech Support: Can you pull down the directory called "SELF-ACCEPTANCE"? Customer: Yes, I have it. Tech Support: Excellent. You're getting good at this. Now, click on the following files and then copy them to the "MYHEART" directory: FORGIVE-SELF.DOC, REALIZE-WORTH.TXT, and ACKNOWLEDGE-LIMITATIONS.DOC. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching any faulty programming. Also, you need to delete SELF-CRITIC.EXE from all directories, and then empty your recycle bin afterwards to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back. Customer: Got it. Hey! My HEART is filling up with new files. SMILE.MPG is playing on my monitor right now and it shows that PEACE.EXE, and CONTENTMENT.COM are copying themselves all over my HEART. Is this normal? Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes a while, but eventually everything gets downloaded at the proper time. So, LOVE is installed and running. You should be able to handle it from here. Ah, one more thing. Customer: Yes? Tech Support: LOVE is freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everybody you meet. They will in turn share it with other people and they will return some similarly cool modules back to you. Customer: I will! Thanks for your help!

  10. E (inner energy) = Mc2 (Mind) (Consciously Conscious) Guru Granth Shib and the powers of the Shabd(The word) within SGGS We must consciously direct the consciousness of the mind. We release the energy we need to excel and balance ourselves with an inner technology that can alter the frequency of the mind and the state of the brain. All the oscillations of the mind cease with the practice of the Shabd and it gets pacified of itself (Sarang M: 3, Siri Guru Granth Sahib, page 1233) Praise the God, O saints and friends! With steady, complete concentration, wilh one-pointedness of the mind.(Siri Guru Granth Sahib Page 295) Guru Nanak - the first Guru of the Sikhs, immersed into the Shabd Guru, saw the pain of people everywhere. He experienced the vast flood of information from the entire cosmic consciousness. And he perfectly laid down patterns of the Shabd Guru that commanded the brain and mind with rhythm, sound, concentration and breath. The patterns of the Shabd Guru combine atoms of information in the smallest sound units to release the inner energy of awareness needed to guide the brain and mind through this wave of change. Just as combining atoms has opened the way to use the greatest energy in matter, the quantums of sound are the atoms that open the way to the greatest inner energy of consciousness and command the chemistry of the brain. Those Shabd patterns are a legacy to be used and shared with all as an antidote to the maladies of the InfoDementia Syndromes. The Shabd Guru technology is not just for the Sikhs but for everyone, for in every human is the Light of the same Creator.
  11. Don't spend your precious time asking 'Why isn't the world a better place?' It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is 'How can I make it better?' To that there is an answer. - Leo F. Buscaglia
  12. In this age of fast and electronic communications, I would like to know what links do the S.G.P.C. and the different Takhats in India and all the Gurdwaras in India as well as abroad have? What I would like to know is whether all of them as stated above have been hooked up in a common server so that whatever decisions or mattas or hukumnamas are issued by the S.G.P.C. or the Akal Takhat are sent across to all through the net or the computer technology. For this to take place , all of them have to have a computer set in their premises or Gurdwaras so that the same is communicated with the Sikh masses all over the world. Take for example the case of the implementation of the Nanakshahi calendar. Reports were available that there was confusion in many towns and many observed the martyrdom day of Guru Arjun Singh Ji on the 6th of June instead of the 16th June as per the NanakShahi calendar. Why was this confusion in the first place? The possible reason is that the Gurdwaras all over the world were not intimated about this and I am yet to receive the said calendar from our local Gurdwaras . The general public or the Sikhs are fully entitled to rceive the hukumnamas or mattas which are the concern of all Sikhs and once the computers are installed , then printouts of same can be taken out and handed over to the sangat attending the Gurdwaras. This, however, is the need of the day and the benefits will be tremendous. Probably the networking could be done in a phased manner: - (i) By setting up a full fledged Secretariat at Akal Takhat Sahib and small Sectts. at all the Takhats; (ii) Connecting all the Takhats through computers; (iii) Linking all the Gurdwaras of the world with the Takhats Trying to be on the path of Sikhi, singh khalistan da post ur views

  17. Bhai Ajit Singh jee is one of the thousands of shaheeds who are unknown to the Sikhs. He breathed his last on June 5, 2003. You all will be surprised to hear that he left his body for heavenly abode just few days ago but we are still calling him a shaheed related to the 1984 events. Please read on to know why. Bhai Sahib was born in a small village in district Jalandhar. From childhood he was a very keen and focussed person. He grew up to be a very handsome, tall young man. He joined Indian Air Force in the fifties. There he met Bhai Tejinder Singh who was a well known Singh of Akhand Kirtani Jatha. Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee had not left this world yet and was physically alive. Bhai Tejinder Singh jee gave Bhai Ajit Singh jee some books to read. TAKING AMRIT After reading these books, Bhai Ajit Singh jee totally changed and expressed his desire to become a Sikh of Guru Nanak Dev jee. He wanted to meet Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee. He met Bhai Sahib and in the mid 1950s he took amrit at an amrit sinchaar organized by the Akhand Kirtani Jatha. After taking amrit, Bhai Ajit Singh jee took up the great rehit of Khalsa – Sarbloh Bibek. He used to get up at 1:30 am and his nitnem ended at around 7am. All day long too he kept reciting baani or Naam. UNCOMPROMISING ON GURMAT He never compromised on the principles of Gurmat. One of the most striking fact is that he did his military service in Air Force without tying his beard. It is totally unheard of but Bhai Sahib kept his rehit. In those days there was a Muslim senior officer whose name was HT Latif. Latif gave Muslims a special permission to maintained trimmed beard. Bhai Ajit Singh jee took a copy of the order of Latif that a religious Muslim is allowed to keep short beard. This letter greatly helped him in his service in Air Force. Once there was a medal ceremony where Bhai Sahib showed up in his flowing beard. The Hindu officer who was distributing the medals, took a note of Bhai Sahib’s beard and asked him to tie it. Bhai Sahib refused and explained to him that it is his religion to maintain flowing beard. The officer took offense and threatened to take action if he did not obey orders. At this Bhai Sahib showed him a copy of the order of Latif, where he had allowed religious Muslims to maintained beards. Bhai Sahib said that he too was a “Maulwi†of Sikhs and wanted to keep a flowing beard. As much as the officer did not like this but he had no choice but to let him off because Latif was a much senior officer at that time. Guru Sahib kept Bhai Sahib’s honour. Once a senior officer started smoking in the presence of Bhai Ajit Singh jee. Bhai Sahib requested him to stop smoking. He got offended as he did not expect a junior officer to tell him what to do. Bhai Sahib again requested him but the officer did not care and spoke rudely at him. He went as far as breathing smoke towards Bhai Sahib. This was too much for Bhai Sahib to sustain. He held his hand and forcefully stopped him from smoking. The senior officer immediately ordered that Bhai Sahib be arrested. He was arrested and put in jail. Preparations for court martial were started. Some senior Sikh officers found out about this event. They explained to the other officers that this case could take a political turn if Bhai Sahib was prosecuted. Finally Bhai Sahib was released and he joined his service again. He did not apologize for his act and was willing to sacrifice for this act. Bhai Sahib was very close to Bhai Fauja Singh jee. Bhai Sahib used to stay at his house all the time and vice-versa. Bhai Sahib had great spirit for the chardi kala of Khalsa. POST 1984 LIFE After the rise of the militant movement of the Sikhs, Bhai Sahib’s house became a main stay for the militant Singhs. They used to stay at his house all the time. Being a Khalsa, he could not refuse anyone from staying in his house. He served them with his mind body and spirit. Famous Singhs who used to stay with him were Shaheed Harjinder Singh Jinda, Shaheed Manbir Singh Chaheru, Shaheed Balbir Singh, Bhai Mahal Singh, Shaheed Labh Singh and many others. Everyone knew that the consequences of letting the militants stay at your house meant total destruction. Despite knowing this, Bhai Sahib never cared for the consequences. He did not care that his 3 sons and a daughter too could be victimized for this. He was worried about a higher cause. He wanted to serve the Khalsa of Guru Gobind Singh jee and he was willing to sacrifice himself for this. Finally the fateful day of July 1986 arrived when Bhai Sahib was arrested by CBI for helping the militants. He was taken to the infamous Tihar Jail of Delhi. He was severely tortured there. He stayed there for 9 months and in these nine months all efforts were made to make him incapable of doing any more sewa of Panth. They could not kill him as he was an officer in the Air Force but they did just that i.e. turned him into a harmless person for them. He used to narrate how he was made to witness tortures of other gursikhs. These gursikhs were tortured in front of him and then killed in fake encounters. One famous Singh who was killed this way was Roshan Lal Bairagi a Sikh who had converted from the Hindu faith. Bhai Sahib was given electric shocks that greatly effected him. Electric shocks were given to his head and even to his private parts. He was severely tortured. They also used to give him injections and after those injections, he felt that his hands and feet used to start shaking. By the time he came out, he had developed some fatal disease as a result of this torture. Because of this shaking of his hands and feet, he fell down a flight of stairs one day and fell into a coma. He stayed in this coma for about 6 years untill June 5, 2003. He breathed his last on that day. His three sons and a daughter live in the Toronto area and are gursikhs. His elder son Bhai Rampal Singh is a famous leader in Toronto area. To pay our tribute and respects to this shaheed, we are organizing an Akhand Paath on June 13, 2003 and bhog for this akhand paath will commence on June 15, 2003. Please be there to pay tribute to this shaheed of panth. The Akhand Paath Sahib will be done at Gurdwara Tapoban Sahib.
  18. MEHARVAAN SAHIB MEHARNVAAN! we all are under His command, no exception. If we go with the hukam, we go with the flow- all is well, all is shub! If we choose to go against hukam, knowingly or unknowingly we get punished, we live in misery, we struggle. From Waheguru's side, all is happening according to His grace He is so Meharvaan that He made us free to choose His Will or ours! Imagine, if His will was imposed on us by Him as a bondage. we will still live in misery because we are not free. Freedom is our glory, as a human it is our birthright. Without freedom , we live a life of animal. Human conscious is Supreme as compared to animals, plants and rocks. Blessed are those who illumine their Jote! Blessed are those who have true desire to wake up! May this desire be the only desire among all! Cherdi Kalah always!
  19. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Vaar 16 - Pauri 10 Pauri l0 (Gurmukhs are the highest ones) Chintamani alleviates anxieties and wishfulfilling cow (Kamadhenu) fulfills all desires. Parijat tree gives flowers and fruits and the nine nths are engrossed with the miraculous powers. The ten incarnations (of Hindu mythology) assumed human body and showed their valour to spread their names. The pleasure fruit of the gurmukhs is the holy congregation wherein all the four ideals of life (dharma, arth, kam and moks) serve themselves. The consciousness of gurmukhs there remains merged in the Word and the story of their love is ineffable. The transcendental Brahm is the perfect Brahm who by becoming affectionate to devotees puts many deceitful persons in the web of deception. The Lord is free from all accounts and none can understand His mystery. Translation By Dr Jodh Singh Ji
