What has killing innocents got to do with Khalistan movement?

First give me the answer on the killing of innocent Sikhs all over India ? As per Sher it was retaliation and by his words it was justified to killed 5 or 7 Sikh for 75 Hindus , do you agree with him ? I have never supported killing of Hindus but if we go by Sher version then Sikhs are justified in Killing thousand and thousand of more Hindus or make Punjab other Kashmir of Hindus .

This happened on 2nd April 1984. Also keep this in mind, Harbans Lal Khanna was responsible for the killings of 11 Sikhs, on 14th February 1984. Harbans Lal Khanna also had ordered the beadbi of Sri Darbar Sahib's model and of Guru Ram Das Ji at the railway station of Amritsar.

How Khanna was sent to Hell

Bhai Sahib and Bhai Labh Singh Panjwar got ready with their motorcycle to punish Harbans Lal Khanna. MLA of Bharti Jayanta Party (BJP) Harbans Lal Khanna was sitting at his shop in Amritsar on 2nd April 1984 along with his gunmen. The singhs also reached the shop. Bhai Sahib remained on the motorcycle and Bhai Labh Singh got off the motorcycle and quickly entered the shop. Bhai Sahib and Bhai Labh Singh were dressed in police uniforms and Bhai Sahib was waiting on the running motorcycle. The gunmen of Harbans Lal Khanna thought Bhai Sahib was a real police officer. Bhai Labh Singh fired his Stengun and killed the bodyguards, soon as Harbans Lal Khanna saw this he shouted, "Terrorists, terrorist". Bhai Labh Singh put the Stengun to Harbans Lal Khanna's chest and said, "Dhoti (Hindu trousers), topi (cap) Jamuna par. Khalistan Zindabaad". After saying this Bhai Labh Singh coloured the white sofa in the shop red with the blood of Harbans Lal Khanna. Before leaving the scene the singhs grabbed the weapons of the dead bodyguards and also burnt their jeep which was outside the shop. The singhs then shouted war cries of Bole So Nihal Sat Sri Akaal and fired bullets from their Stengun as they fled the scene.

The Indian law never charged Harbans Lal Khanna for his racist slogans. On 1st April 1984 from the second floor of Guru Ram Das Langar Hall, Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale spoke out against the attacks on Sikhs by the groups of Harbans Lal Khanna. The message Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale sent to Harbans Lal Khanna and the Sikh nation was:

"In Haryana 24 saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Ji were burnt. Six gurudwaras were also burnt. Twelve trucks and two cars of the Sikhs were burnt. Hundred and 25 singhs hair were forcefully cut and sent to me. Three Sikh girls were made to stand naked on the main road for 2 hours. For seven days this kept on happening. They have insulted our Sikh girls. The girls are crying, no one was saving them on the main road. Till the culprits are not punished, I will not rest. Also this message has been sent to Bhajan Lal, that he can live in the middle of the ocean but I will definitely meet him at whatever cost".

The Hindu mobs under the command of Harbans Lal Khanna did many protests against the Sikhs in Amritsar, in which the Hindu racist mobs would attack Sikhs and their businesses as well as Sikh gurudwaras. Under the command of Harbans Lal Khanna, his mobs destroyed the golden statue of Sri Darbar Sahib at Amritsar railway station and they also got the photo of Guru Ram Das Ji and burnt it with cigarettes. The slogans Harbans Lal Khanna used against the Sikhs were:

"Duki Tiki Rehen Nahi Deni
Siir Te Pagri Rehen Nahi Deni!
Kangha, Kara, Kachera, Kirpan
Ehnu Pejo Pakistan!"

Hindus have built park in the memory of this kanjar and they have problem when Sikhs have photos of their shaheed in Gurdwaras .

INDIA FINDS ITSELF CAUGHT IN A VICIOUS CYCLE OF NEW VIOLENCE

NEW DELHI— For the first time since the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the army patrolled the streets of this capital city last week. The people of northern India had reason to wonder whether acts of terrorism by Sikhs would soon become routine.

A wave of bombings, apparently by Sikh radicals, killed more than 80 people in crowded bus and train stations and other public places last weekend, stirring fresh antagonism between Hindus and Sikhs. The authorities expected more bombings, and there was anxiety about the security of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi after American officials said Sikhs had plotted to assassinate him on his visit to the United States next month. Yesterday the Government introduced a measure in Parliament aimed at strenghtening the punishment of terrorists.

The anguish and actions of the Sikhs, a religious sect that broke from Hinduism 500 years ago, have echoes in religious and ethnic conflict throughout South Asia. In Sri Lanka, the Government is faced with an increasingly violent insurgency by Tamils. In Karachi, Pakistan, dozens died in six days of rioting between Pathans and Biharis last month. And in the western Indian state of Gujarat, more than 120 people have been killed in clashes this spring between Hindus and Muslims and between members of upper and lower castes.

Unlike most groups that resort to violence, however, the Sikhs have long been one of India's favored minorities. With barely 2 percent of the population, Sikhs have succeeded far beyond their numbers in business, farming, military prowess and intellectual pursuits. In Punjab, the fertile and strategic northwestern state where Sikhs predominate, the green revolution in farming has brought prosperity and opportunity.

Yet even those Sikhs who deplore the violence of the radicals, including the assassination of Mrs. Gandhi by two Sikh security guards in October, say they are an exploited people. The feelings stem, experts say, from the unusual role Sikhs have played in Indian history. Sikhism was founded in Punjab by a guru who proclaimed his belief in one God and opposed the Hindu caste system. Subsequent gurus established the sect's separate identity by commanding Sikhs to remain unshaven, wrap their hair in turbans, adopt the name ''singh'' (or lion) and carry swords as a symbol of their willingness to fight for their beliefs. 9xx>Still, for centuries Sikhs and Hindus were so close that there was even a custom among many Punjabi Hindu families to bring up one son as a Sikh. The two religions were also united in opposing the Mogul emperors who ruled India before the British. But in the 19th century, following the practice of divide and rule, the British awarded land grants and military positions to Sikhs in return for their loyalty. At a time when the first stirrings of revolt were taking place among Hindus, such actions sowed the seeds of Hindu-Sikh division.

At independence, Sikhs sided with Hindus rather than the Muslims, who broke off and formed Pakistan. But so many Sikhs lost their farms when half of the Punjab was given over to Pakistan that a sense of deprivation set in. The idea of an autonomous Sikh state was the result. ''The sentiment was expressed in a single query,'' writes Khushwant Singh, the Sikh historian. ''Hindus got Hindustan. Muslims got Pakistan. What did the Sikhs get out of partition and independence?''

Sikh yearnings were rewarded in 1965, when the Indian Government altered the boundaries of the Punjab and made the Sikhs a majority. They soon demanded more autonomy and a greater share of river water for irrigation. Mainstream Sikh leaders tangled constantly with Mrs. Gandhi, and hard economic times created a pool of disaffected young people prepared to use violence to advance the cause of a new Sikh state. They were soon drawn to a fiery and charismatic fundamentalist preacher named Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

There is evidence that Mrs. Gandhi's aides, in attempting to undercut mainstream Sikh leaders, encouraged some of the extremist followers of Mr. Bhindranwale. Later, Mr. Bhindranwale's radicals turned to assassinations and bombings, killing hundreds of Hindus and moderate Sikhs. By 1984, the killings were occurring every week and Mr. Bhindranwale had retreated to the area of the holiest Sikh shrine, the Golden Temple at Amritsar, which he used as an arms depot and sanctuary.

In spite of the violence, most moderate Sikhs in Punjab failed to denounce Mr. Bhindranwale. Some were clearly afraid of being attacked; others felt unity was more important. Whatever the reasons for their silence, it created resentment among Hindus and gave Mrs. Gandhi a potent issue. Her decision to send the army into the Golden Temple last June, which she called the most agonizing of her career, also proved to be one of the most popular. An estimated 800 Sikhs, many innocent worshippers among them, died in the raid, which touched off a cycle of revenge that came to include Mrs. Gandhi's murder and subsequent anti-Sikh rioting by Hindus that killed 2,400 Sikhs in New Delhi alone.

Today Sikhs say they cannot understand why their Hindu brethren failed to speak out against the excesses of the Golden Temple raid and the riots last fall; Hindus say they cannot understand why their Sikh brethren failed to denounce the extremists.

Last week, some Sikh leaders who had been relatively silent up to now, and some who had even praised Mr. Bhindranwale and the assassins of Mrs. Gandhi, deplored the latest killings. Mr. Gandhi called on Hindus to exercise the restraint that many failed to show after the assassination of his mother. ''The extremists want a backlash and the whole community to be alienated,'' he told Parliament. ''This is what we should avoid.''

But there is also talk among extremists of regrouping, and of violence that will inevitably breed more violence and foster an atmosphere in which wounds are never given time to heal.

Beant Singh became CM in 1992 and by 1993 terrorism died its own disgusting death. How many Sikh youth (terrorists and innocents) died under regime? the number is around 3000 (total dead 1981 -1999 = 8094). the number of civilians killed by the terrorists in the same period was around 1500 (total = 11752) while 262 (total 1748) police men were also killed by the Paki supported terrorists.

Though the number of terrorists killed in Beant Singh era was unusually high, the peace brought by their elimination was priceless.
