  1. kharag letz keep it in perspective here. which braat is gonna wanna have sukh-nidhaan at a wedding? as for the jhatka this point has been mentioned on this site under 500 sau sakhi that meat is not to be consumed for savour, and that all the jhataka eaters have to stand in line. Howya gonna get 100 or so braatis to stand in a line?

the jhatka and sukh-nidhaan practice are mainly confined to nihang dals, and if the wedding were to take place in a nihang shouni then we couldnt really argue, but the majority of gurdwaras do not practice this practices/

  2. i never heard that song if you wanna wear a turban clap your hands before. sounds really funny, but im sure it wasnt at the time.

i do remmeber that as children we at sports were taking the ssip out of a singh, saying you donrt need to wear a crash helmet for this sport( rounders or summat). None of us knew what a turban was or infact sikhi for that matter. now i think back to that ssip-taking and think i wish i'd known a lot more then. nice pics.

  3. the answer to 61 is :

why duz man never think that death is around the corner. People live in the ignorance that death is always far away. That they still have 10/20 years to live. A sakhi in Mahabharata uses this question and many more.

Once the 5 pandavs are in the forets and they look for water. one by one they go to a pond and are questioned by an invisible entity on the mystery of life. 4 of the 5 cannot answer these questions, and die, and the last to go is Yudhistra.

he answers the questiosn correclty, and some f the questions he was asked are from the list above. however he will only accept the water if his brothers are brought back to life.

Death can come at any time. This mystery became so much clearer to me when my friend Harvinder Singh passed away at the the Lake district last year. only seconds before no would have thought that death was present.

its certainly dis-concert-ing to see that despite all this wonderful knowledge , and sound that has sought to elevate man, the area from whcih it came, Bhoot Mata, there is more sounds na dscreams of agony of people who are being crushed by the offspring of rahu and ketu.

    jus a thought.
