the jhatka and sukh-nidhaan practice are mainly confined to nihang dals, and if the wedding were to take place in a nihang shouni then we couldnt really argue, but the majority of gurdwaras do not practice this practices/

in the Katha of Sant Kartar Singh and other taksal steeks, Pyara Dharam Singh is said to be Bhagat Dhanna. Bhagat Sain is said to be Pyara Sahib Singh, and the others i can tremember. but i have heard this many times in katha of the taksal.

yes in uk there were some instacnes like this, such as my father being known as " singh 126" at work , cos there were so many other sikhs working there, mangement gave them a number rather than try to remember who was who.

the local council also encourage sikhs not to register their childrens as singh or kaur. this is why so many sikhs always use thier caste/tribal name.

I met a devotee ( a balmiki version of granthi/hindu pujari) of Maha Rushi Balmiik, and he told me that the hindus do not acknowledge or refer to this Ramayan, cos of thier caste prejudice. how true this is i dont know. anyone else come across this?

i remember sum people saying to me abiut him wearing kalgi. the same people who i asked to help me wiv some sewa at gurughar, who were always too busy to doing anything. Funny how they had a lot of spare time when it came to slander.

i do remmeber that as children we at sports were taking the ssip out of a singh, saying you donrt need to wear a crash helmet for this sport( rounders or summat). Death can come at any time. This mystery became so much clearer to me when my friend Harvinder Singh passed away at the the Lake district last year. only seconds before no would have thought that death was present.
