  1. Kharag Singh you bring up a valid point but at the same time i have met many nihang singhs in India who are more wworied about their next Jhatka for dinner and their shaheedi tegh to even remember the name of God. I can remember going to see the Nihangs at the Jor mela to see Baba Santa Singh and Baba Balbir Singh. It was similar to a scientology convention where i have to pay numbers of nihangs money in order to get closer and closer to the sants to do darshan.

But as i said earlier what about Bhai Kahaiya who started the Sewapanthi movement. He was not a nihang. Same goes for two of the Panj Piaray Bhai Daya Singh and Bhai dharam Singh who have a number of nirmala sampardas and upsampardas coming from them. Lastly the Bedis who Guru Gobind Singh Ji brought into the khalsa themselves. The Bedis have never been been nihangs. Other the Baba Sahib Singh Ji and Baba Bikramjit Singh the others were never shasterdhari.

This is the one time i can say Bahadur Singh is right about tribalism. when members on the forum who associate themselves with the nihangs, nirmalas, etc make claims to such things as the ritual of baptism in order to undermine other groups

brother kam this isnt about undermining another group. Nirmalas are utam in their own place and sewapanthis in their own. after seeing your perspective i think that (now this is my own conclusion) amrit being pure death mixed into water, has two aspects, for those who need it for martial purposes take it as a metophrical/literal embracement of death. And since Akaal is known also as death, amrit can provide bhramgyaan too. Now nirmale/udasis who wish to enhance their bhramgyan take amrit. Comming to sewapanthis i must say this is a grey area for me to draw up a conclusion.

but please ponder and maybe even correct this perspective.

  2. hmm, amrit in my view is for the elite. When i say elite i mean the Warriors, for whom it was initially set up for. I mean today amrit is given out like as if it was out of a tap, there is no true maryada left apart from that at Budha Dal, Amrit was set up by Nihung Singhs (5 pyare + Sahib-E-Kamaal) and for Nihungs. For those who wish to drink death and then be ready to embrace it in the battle field.

  3. Balbir Singh you have lost the plot now, on one hand you call Akaal Nirgun/sargun and on the other your implying that God has amother which is contradictory to the whole concept of Mool Mantra "Ajooni sehbhang" Ie for someone to come into june one must be born and that from a woman and if Akaal is "ajooni sehbhang" then Mahakaal cannot have a mother.

Your interpretation of Waheguru is completely wrong. From what i know it means Wonderful Lord Who Delivers From Darkness of Ignorance Into Light Of Gyaan (Knowledge)
