Don't remember how long it took, but to make it 'pukka', I wrote down the first line of each Paurri on a paper and carried that around with me. Whenever I got the chance, I would try to recite Jap Ji Sahib, and use the first lines to help remember the paath.

It all depends on what they think the 'Dao' is. If it is 'nothingness' then they have no chance, because they have no knowledge of the atma. It is the longing of the atma to return to where it came from that we get tuned into and this leads to bairaag and prem.
Gurbani tells us in quite a few places that any form of bhagti done without prem will not get you anywhere.

An important thing to bear in mind is that we aren't interested in heavens or swarags. Our aim is Waheguru. In fact, for a Sikh, swarag and narak are the same - we don't want to get stuck in swarag while seperated from Akaal Purkh.

Thanks! just what I was looking for.

Thanks, I found it as well.

Not all old paintings show the ears uncovered. The dastar is a lot more secure if you do tie it lower on the head, covering the ears.

it has been died out in india but people who are from east africa and singerpore keep the same style alive.
Not really. The 'Kenyan' style only became popular in Kenya a few generations ago. If you look at very old photos of the Sangat there, they wore normal Indian styles - in many cases more rustic than you find in Indian cities, more similar to styles in the pinds. There was a shift between people who are now in their nineties and the generation that came after.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
In Ayurveda, what is the difference between badaams with skin and badaams with skin removed? Is one form 'garam' and the other not?

Who do you want to speak out? How many people would have watched Zee Tv to get this alleged story? Think about it, would they send a letter to the CID outlining their plans?
This is no different to coutless other allegations and false cases by the Indian Police. It's all a load of bs and I don't see what you're getting worked up about. Babbar Khalsa doesn't even exist in its original form.

If you had read the Tankhahnama you wouldn't make such a (foolish) statement. Tankhahnama doesn't mention Jaap. It only says to recite Japji, Rehraas and Kirtan Sohila (in verses 25/26).
and I quote, "Waheguru Pun Mantreh Jaap. Kar Ishnan Parhe Jap Jaap (2)" - Rehatnama and Tankahnama of Bhai Nand Lal Ji.
You can tell what type of ink is used by looking at a photo? If you had gone to India, stayed with real Singhs and seen those birs yourself, I would believe you. As it stands, all your 'knowledge' is from the internet and your level/ manner of debating is that found in the comments section of Youtube videos.
None of your 'proofs' are valid. Try again.

Check out the Suraj Parkash katha on gurmatveechar.com or gurbaniupdesh.org for audio; or you can read Kam's blog: http://sikhscriptures2english.blogspot.com/
or download Suraj Parkash from www.ik13.com
Listening to katha by a Mahapursh, or someone who has studied under a Mahapursh is probably the best source.

Karishna existed somewhere in time line and can't be a true name. Same can be said for other Sargun names.
Please comment.
Gurbani itself makes that clear, especially Dasam Bani.
Satnam just means that His name is true. True because it is permanent, never changing, and always was, always will be. Something that changes or dies to be born again can not be considered 'sat'. Waheguru has infinite names, but for us, the most important one is Gurmantar. You can't pick and choose which naam to jaap or keep changing it - there's no way you'll be able to concentrate.
Gurmantar is indeed Waheguru, but it only becomes a Gurmantar when given to you by your Guru - i.e. during Amrit Sanchar.
-
Tankahnama mentions Jaap Sahib as well.

Yes I got Photos. I can upload if you want.
Please do so.
So do you follow Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Bhai Gurdas Ji's vaaran or Tankahnama?

Dating is done easily. Inder Singh (lakhwinder singh of usa aka singh2 on this site) and Lamba have claimed that there is a 1698 Dasam Granth Bir, its Tatkara pic is on Patshahi10.org. It is fake, how do we know? I got pic of same bir where Zafarnama is written in same ink and handwriting,......
Got a link to the photos? Have you seen the bir yourself?
Where in Guru Sahib does it say to wake up and read JapJi Sahib and Anand Sahib?
-
Now you want to make a new Nitnem? How will you guys do Amrit Sanchar?
You speak of unity.....
You also say you follow Guru Sahib's teachings - how did you become a Sikh of Guru Sahib, what initiation did you undergo? Do you wake up at Amritvela, have ishnan and do Simran?
-
Guptsingh, how do you know who compiled the old birs we have - do you expect to find signatures of the compiler?
I mentioned in another thread how no bir, whether Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji or Sri Dasam Granth, has been accurately dated. The reason is that accurate dating methods are all destructive. Many of the banis within Sri Dasam Granth have dates written in them, by Guru Sahib. For Sikhs who have faith in Guru Ji, that is enough proof.
Can you explain to me which teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji you follow and which ones from Sri Dasam Granth you don't?
-
You believe the Indian Police?
-
The dates written within Sri Dasam Granth, by Guru Sahib, are enough proof. Besides, nobody has ever dated any of the old birs, whether of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji or Sri Dasam Granth - all forms of accurate dating are destructive and hence not used.

What debate are you going on about? why don't you come here? Why did you cancel the debate after making flyers on facebook?
Like Guru Sahib says, sometimes the only way you can get a moorakh to understand something is by using a danda. Here we have someone who hasn't even taken Amrit, doesn't follow many of Guru Ji's hukams and he thinks he understands Dasam Bani enough to curse it. Sharam kar!

Dasam duar is at the crown of the head, there are a few chakras above that as well.

This is a complex issue and seemingly, a paradox.
If Waheguru knows the future, which He does, then that implies that the future is fixed - there is only one possible outcome, because it is already known. Yet, there is karma, reaping what you sow, etc.
Waheguru is beant!
