  1. is this true?

    http://www.nihangsin...g/blog/?paged=9

Some may think that Kartar Singh Jhabbar advocated jhatka amongst the Sikhs because he had some connection to the Akaali Nihangs, but this could not be further from the truth. It was under the leadership of Kartar Singh Jhabbar in 1920 that a few hundred members of the SGPC went to Akaal Takht and physically removed the traditional custodians of the Takht Sahib, the Akaali Nihangs as well as breaking the arm of the elder Jathedar of Budha Dal, Akaali Baba Sahib Singh Ji Kaladhari.

So Kartar Singh Jhabbar and the SGPC/Singh Sabha were not trying to appease any particular group of Sikhs, but were trying to preserve historical Panthic traditions.

"if the tilak is an issue than all the sikhs of Hazur sahib and Hazur Sahib itself will be a non sikh asthaan, right from applying tilak on their foreheads to tilak to the shastars of guru maharaj...i dont understand why we gettting so islamic"

Recently on Sikh Channel, bhai Hari Singh Randhawa of Damdami Taksal clearly stated that this ritual of applying tilak of blood from killing of an animal is wrong. He said this problem lies with the management committee at sri Hazur Sahib.

Whatever is according to Gurmat and Guru Maharaj ji's rehit we should adopt.

Just because some tradition has been going on for a long time or is performed at a certain asthaan does not make it right.

    Rabb Rakhe

How can one that does not live in the dals criticise the practise of the dals? How can one who is not part of the sampradaiye criticise the sampradaiye's kshatri (Warrior) traditions? Isn't this like poking one's nose in one's business? How can an outsider criticise and understand sampradaiye that he has not lived in nihang and dal panth way? It reminds me of some kind of extreme sharia law, telling people off, controlling what they do etc etc.

Seriously sangat jee, this is bull*@$% and disrespectful to puraatan traditions, just plain nindya to Guru's traditions, maryada, and Guru ji himself! People letting ego and self-righteousness decide their parchar these days!

  3. The best response they could come up with in a different thread before locking it, the thread is about gatka lineage:

As i stated earlier i am also learning Gatka but i forgot to mention my lineage which i am no way ashamed to hide, but you guys will definitely wish you was part of my school. The lineage is thus:

    1. Akali Baba Yip-Man (who learnt directly from Akali Akaal Mahakal)

    2. Akali Baba Bruce Lee aka Lee Jun Fan

    3. Akali Baba Brandon Lee

    4. Akali Baba Frank Dux (Undisputed Champion of the secret Kumatai)

    5. Akali Baba Jean-Claude Van Damme

    6. Akali Baba Jackie Chan

    7. Akali Baba Jet-Li

    8. Present Gurdev Akali Baba PAL 07 Sikh Kung-Fu Puratan Chandar Bansia Ganesh Akhara.

I am yet to start my business as a martial arts teacher but i guarantee you next year i won't change the name of my Akhara as this is the proper lineage passed down to me. Trust me on this, but i am still in the process of creating a new religion so hand on tight if you wanna become my disciple.

  4. They dont need to shed light on anything, they have already made their decision, what we need to do is start a program to work towards restoration of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib, sheddong light on why it should be there.

It can be done, for 2 decades at least no tanti saaj was played regularly in Sri Darbar Sahib, but now it is played very regularly, because some Sikhs who were promoting Gurmat Sangeet met with the Jathedaars and requested a program for tanti-saaj to be introduced again to Sri Darbar Sahib.

The Jathedaars of the 2 Takht Sahib should take a step in getting this done. If Sri Dasam was restored to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, then it would go a long way to countering the nuisance of anti-dasam fools.

Perhaps it is only the Akalis Nihangs that can do this job?

  5. I dont see what's funny.

Also the sarbloh.info is garbage and has attacked nearly every panthic jathabandi, is their any link between sarbloh.info and this shaster vidya website?

Is it strange though, that the "panthic" jathebandiyaa get attacked but the puraatan sampradaiye get praised?

    worry not.

just as the thread was getting interesting the kids got in locked off! I do feel they were gettling a bit intimidated by a real, challenging debate that was about to start.

    :(

Its funny how SS wait to lock the thread so that someone can write a post that agrees with them. They took it off sticky status when the thread got locked. There is some fishy business with the admins! LOL I wonder if they PM one of the members to post something.

    Conversation:

Admin: Please write so and so, then we can lock the thread.

Member eg KHalistaniGunMan: OK thanx admin jee I will write this big post and then you can lock the thread :D

  6. And I'm sure people take the piss out of those who do SV too. Everyone laughs at everyone else. Not exactly reflecting the higher thinking of which you seem so keen.

So Doaba/Malwa/Maljhi is like Scouse/Geordie/Brummie? Makes sense.

People have to be jolly sometimes, even Guru Hargobind Sahib kept a jester!

i think majheli panjabis/sikhs have some scottish blood in them. Has anyone else noticed the fashion tendancy to wear Tartan style parnas by majha sikhs? always intrigued me.

probs explain my love for haggis and wearing skirts!!

    :)

lol haggis arr. its alright ye know

  7. I think people use the term "God" for lack of a better word in English. Singh2 is probably one of the most knowledgeable Singhs out there when it comes to the topic of Sri Dasam Granth Jee. I've even put a quote of his on my signature at the bottom.

    Of course :D

But I think this "God" term has been causing a lot of confusion for everyone studying bani...

  8. KDSingh80 - You need not wait 50-100 years for a new version. You have it now at Sikh Philosophy Network where new Sikhism has already taken birth. This version can be termed as Jat-Sikhism or Akali-Sikhism. This is when something is beyond ones understanding, you give it a new meaning. - Congratulations SPN.

I'm a jatt and I post on sikh philosophy sometimes, that site really freaking annoys me sometimes!!

  9. 6)Jeonwala failed to grasp the concept of metaphors used extensively in dasam Granth as he did not understand terms used for God.When singhs pointed that to him.He just kept quiet.

lol there are no words in gurbani that mean "God". If Gurus used the abrahamic term "God" in gurbani then they would easily be able to prove any bani was written by Britishers or Christians
