  1. You know what they call a married woman who flirts with other men? well that is the situation of a Sikh who while having a Guru also flirts with other faiths and thinks it is okay. How long does it take to do Namaz? 10-15 minutes? wouldn't it be better if you do Paath or Naam Simran for the same amount of time with full concentration? What is so impressive about Islam or Mohammad that you cannot be impressed with Gurmat and the Gurus? Reading about Prophet Mohammad and other Abrahamic prophets you will realize that even a million Mohammads and such prophets cannot equal the charan dhoor of Baba Nanak.

I once heard Sant Jagjit Singh Harkhowalwalay saying in a Katha: we have done great Karma to be born in a Sikh household. We have our own traditions, rehet, Bani (scriptures) and THE greatest history in the planet. Gurmat is a complete dharm. We need to immerse ourselves in Gurbani Paath and Naam Simran.

  2. Personally I still think the underlying causes of the type of religio-cultural rape scenario (typified by Pakistani on nonMuslim here) and intercaste rape (typified by Jat on perceived lower castes) is a pretty similar mechanism.

Brother normally I'm very much in agreement with you on other topics. But being from Punjab I have not seen this. Yes, rapes and harassment happens as it happens in all societies and castes, but your assertion that it is particularly prevalent amongst Jats and not others is untrue as the factual data shown by Tony Jee. A Jat is just as much or less likely to rape or harass a young girl as a Tarkhan, Bramin, Khatri, Chura or Chamar is. The situation in Punjab is very different from other states. What we see in movies like Bandit Queen which is based in UP should not be confused with the social environment of Punjab but many people tend to make that mistake.

  3. That is a really bad idea. It would just reinforce the stereotype of blindly loyal Sikh chumchay of the British. Plus the EDL guys are made up of the scum low class of Britain. Poorly educated, working class, lager lout, football fans.

If anyone thinks Sikh joining people like that represents some fulfillment of Khalsa values then they are gravely mistaken. In any case, its goray like that who are at the forefront to the 'shag around like a dog' culture.

I agree. Joining racist British organizations would be a bad idea. Even though such organization don't openly admit they are racists, but none the less they are closet racists. In America, the recent Tea Party movement are also a movement of closet racist Goray, but they will never admit it openly that they are racists. It seems Khalsa always fights other people's battles. Khalsa needs to be independent of all external groups who might want to use Khalsa whether they are Muslims, Hindus or Goray because in the end no one stands up for the Sikhs when Sikhs need help.

  4. Being from Punjab I have to say that what we read about in the English Indian media is largely a load of crap. Yes caste based issues do exist in Punjab, but go to any other place in India, Punjab is the least discriminatory against low castes and even against other religions, if you go to any other part of North India (or any other part of India for that matter, low castes are treated with the most disrespect imaginable).

As for rural Jat boys, from my experience they are no different than other rural boys belonging to other castes, in fact I would say from their behavior they are indistinguishable from other rural Punjabi boy belonging to other castes. If anyone thinks that Jat boys do not harass Jattis and only harass so called "lower" caste girls then they have never been to rural Punjab. Boys harassing girls is not a problem associated with a particular caste, you will see this behavior amongst all boys in India. One might say, it is almost like a part of modern day Indian culture to harass young girls but even that cannot be compared to Pakistani gangs pimping and sexually exploited white British women. The British let them in to their country and to have a good life in a modern western country and this is how the Pakis repay the British by exploiting their women! Disgusting! Sharam Nahi Aundhi!

  5. Even the way such offences are registered is a mockery as recently a Jat father murdered a low caste guy who he discovered in the middle of the night with his daughter in a compromising position in his own house! The low caste guy had jumped a wall into the Jat's house. The Jat killed the low caste guy and guess under what act he was booked? The prevention of atrocities against scheduled castes/tribes act!

That is shocking. I remember reading this and for some agenda based reason, the leftist English media of India just has to paint the incident into a caste issue. For God sake, the old man finds a young man in bed with his daughter in his own house in the middle of the night what do you think his reaction is going to be! The man did what any Ankhi Ghairatmand Punjabi man would have done in his place.

  6. Are there any organized Sikh groups sexually abusing women like these Pakistani men(mostly of Punjabi origin) do? Some might suggest poverty or unemployment the reason for these Pakistani men sexually exploiting women. But many Sikh men who are new to UK are also not exactly rich and it is hard for them to find employment as well, are they forming Sikhs groups to sexually exploit British women?

  7. This article is written from American perspective ,not the Indian one.As i said in my previous post that India don't have good law and order .The result of allowing guns and pistol could be deadly for Indian society.

Which part of the site do you not exactly agree with? as you mentioned India does not have good law and order system which is exactly the reason why responsible people in India need to have the right to protect themselves. If Sikhs in 1984 Delhi had guns the chances are very likely that less Sikhs would have died. We have been so brainwashed since childhood to think that "being armed is a bad thing", "only someone bad has a gun", "police will protect you".

  8. Well I am not liberal ,but I don't beleive that it is liberal propaganda .India

is country with not so good law and order and today's youngsters don't have much control,so I don't think giving them licenesed guns and pistols is great idea.

Let me remind you ,some months back case of a Sikh girl who attacked her eve teaser with father's licenesed gun was posted on this site and almost everybody was praising her for bravery ,but the reality is that the girl was absolutely stupid. In fit of anger she committed a very henious crime.Just imagine if she was really able to shoot that boy then she should have to spent many years in prison.even without killing him the guy could have easily charged her with attempt to murder and she and her family would have been on knees and could have been offering truck load of money to that boy and police so no case would be registered against their daughter.

My point here is simple many persons here feel that injustice have been done to them,if guns and pistols are easily available to them then many could start settling their score with arms as people don't much faith in judiciary and police.

  9. Is it true or just fantasy of historian? 75 million Punjabi's are muslims ,if they were so great warriors then how come they embraced islam? Apart from Punjabi Khalsa's I never heard any great king of Punjab ,not even a muslim one.Afghans looted and plundered Punjuab for centuries.Sorry to say but no one will beleive the version of Hari Ram Gupta.

Let us not underestimate Pathans. IN India, there is no indiginous warrior nation that can compare to the Panthans. The so called "greatness" of Punjabis is because of the Sikh Dharm. Before Sikh dharm arrived on the scene Punjabis could never stand up to the Pathans. This is one of the things that made the Gurus so great. They made us Punjabis so strong that we stood up to the Pathans and even crushed them. Hari Ram Gupta in his book writes that since Punjab was between Khyber pass and Delhi where invaders from the north west came from, Punjab was probably the most unsafe place in South Asia. As a result Punjabis had to arm themselves.

In a country like India Keeping Guns and pistols are out of question O/W murders and other crimes will increase 10 times as every person will start walking with gun.

That is just a myth that many liberals have brainwashed people with. Most of the (gun related) murders happen because of unlicensed guns. By making it harder for citizens to get licenses, they are letting citizens become defenseless. The British originally banned guns in India because they did not want a repeat of 1857 uprising, in other words they wanted defenseless Indians. In "independent" India, the federal government just continued these outdated laws to keep Indians defenseless and in their place.

  10. The word Waheguru is not very prominent in our Sri Guru Granth Sahib, I find this strange especially because this is my main focal point during simran.

    Will anyone kindly educate me?

The reason given in a book I once read was that because it is the Gurmantra and traditionally in Indian spiritual traditions the Gurmantra was kept gupt by the Guru only to be revealed to a devotee during initiation. But now everything is Khulaa and people reveal everything to everyone.

  11. Not at all. One could assume people started military training at the age of 10-11 years at the time.

Maybe Mystical can tell more about this as I think he was the one who told me this

As the historian Hari Ram Gupta writes in his book, every man in Punjab no matter what caste or dharm was always armed when going out and if needed even a potential warrior. It is only when the British took over that the people of Punjab stopped wearing arms since the British made it against the law to even possess a kirpan. But over time, the right to carry a kirpan was allowed. Unfortunately, the gun was out of the question and sadly even after India's so called "independence" it is still difficult to get a license and possess a gun.

  12. No it isn't.

Warrior implies being proficient in war, whatever its current form is. The wars need not be moral ones. Warriors do fight for selfish reasons, imperialism, money etc. etc.

True, warrior is one who is proficient in war. You don't have to be a Sant to be a warrior. Pathans, Turks, Mongols Asiatic warrior races were not exactly saints especially when it came to erecting huge towers made of human skulls, yet they were the most efficient warriors of the steppes.

In Gurmat however, the concept of Sant-Sipahi is different. Ideally a Sikh should be a Sant who is proficient in war.

  13. What about modern ashhters then? Like heat seeking missiles, armed jet fighters, helicopters, tanks etc. etc.

How do these fit into the framework of a modern warrior? Can we say that a true warrior keeps abreast of all developments and innovations of shasters/ashhters?

In terms of modern warfare, knowledge of how to use fire arms is a must. We can have all the knowledge we want about swords and sticks, but if the opponent has one rifle, he can kill 10 of us in less than 10 second. Just imagine if in 1984 the Singhs would have used swords and spears against the Indian army, the Indian army would have won within minutes. But the Singhs trained in modern techniques using the gun and look at the hard time they gave the enemy.

Just look at our traditional enemy, the Pathans. Long ago they were known to be great swordsman, but now they train in modern guerrilla warfare using the gun and no army can beat them. The gun is a shastar of our times and we need to realize that. How long are we going to ignore this this great shastar?

  14. wish he would put in his hair though! finally a talented non paki and he wants to look lke one lol

Actually the original person with that look amongst "Apne" (east Punjab singers) was Harshdeep(a girl). She was on one of those Indian singing shows. She would always come on show with her hair and turban on top. Then Dr. Satinder Sirtaaj and Dr. Mamta Joshi appeared and copied Harshdeep's style. Strange thing is, all three of them are not real Sufis. But I guess, Dukaan chalaun lyee, bhess vataounaa pandhaa he hai! Now that this style of singing is becoming popular, you will see more and more singers trying to appear like Sufis.

  15. The two biggest imperialist ideologies fighting one another. On one side, Euro centric (Anglo-Saxon) imperialists fighting it out with a resurgent Islamic imperialists who also want to dominate the world. I hope no one becomes a clear winner because if either one wins it is not good for the world over all. The Islamic movements around the world will get a huge boost of enthusiasm if they win and they will spread their web of terrorism and domination around the world.
