  1. According to Dr Rattan Singh Jaggi, “There is no unanimity among the historians regarding the date of compilation of this granth, but according to Sikh tradition the decision to compile it in one volume was made conditional on the success of the mission of Bhai Sukha Singh and Bhai Mehtab Singh. Later, it is said Baba Deep Singh and Bhai Sukha Singh of Patna prepared their own Birs (volumes) by adding more material to it. Uptil then, the granth was named as Bachittar Natak, which later came to be named as the granth of the Tenth Guru.”[3]

Dr Rattan Singh Jaggi is a known Dasam Granth critic. When I was young I had the bad fortune of reading his book about Dasam Granth it was due to reading this man's book(and other missionary literature) that I also started to deny Dasam Granth when I was a teenager. But after reading Harbanse Singh's book, he totally convinced me that Dasam Granth is Dasam Guru's Bani. But unlike the Kala Afghanists, who deny ALL of Dasam Granth as being the krit of Guru Gobind Singh Jee, Dr Jaggi was against some Banis like Charitro Pakhyaan, Hakayataan. He did consider Jaap Sahib, Akal Ustat, Svaiyaa to be Gurbani.

  2. do you believe that the other dals were afraid to tackle poohla in a face-off?

I think that not just Nihangs, but everyone was afraid to tackle him face to face. Otherwise, I doubt 40 of his well armed gang would have been able to stop 5 well armed Singhs who would go on a suicidal mission to kill him. But the Panth could not produce these 5 Singhs. What those 2 guys did in jail is something praiseworthy. They should be rewarded by all Dharmic, Nihang, SGPC, Panthic, Sant etc Jathabandis in my opinion because those two guys did something non of us was prepared to do.

  3. It can't be the same - 'Amen' means 'so be it'. Just because two words sound the same doesn't make them similar.

I agree. Sometimes these western orientalist scholars deliberately or out of ignorance misinterpret eastern concepts to suit their work. Unfortunately the same has happened to people applying similar methods to Sikh traditions.

  4. The people behind this dumb ass video are none other than the missionary people who write in the Naastik website called Sikh Marg www.sikhmarg.com

Writers on that site especially a man named Gurcharan Singh Jeonwala who lives in Brampton Canada are the biggest chelle of Ghagha/Kala Afghana. These people need to be countered with a video. If they can nit pick writing and photos of Sant Mahapursh, then why don't we do the same to them?

  5. Yeah, this is not payback. This is murder. They need to attack politicians who are bihind it all, not the civilians.

I remember a few years ago when the terrorists attacked the parliament in Delhi. No one in India felt bad about it because if the terrorists had succeeded, then the corrupt and evil Indian politicians would have died. No one would have mourned for them

  6. All they are doing is just posting photos and nitpicking on how they look like and other stuff like that. Nothing intellectual about the video Only pure admin cut stuff. Ghagha and his gang of fools are real bastards.

These people are getting alot of support from these Khalistani uncles in the west because they all suffer from HIndu Phobia. Real admin cut all of them!

  7. dekhani sikhs is derogatory isnt it

No Bhaaji. I would never insult them. Traditionally Dakhan means south from Maharashtra down to Kanya Kumari and even Sri Lanka. Although in contemporary times Maharashtra is no longer considered "South" but more in the same region as middle India.

The Sikhs of Hazur Sahib who are native to that land are traditionally called Dakhani Sikhs means South Indian Sikhs. While there are many Punjabi Sikhs who have now settled down Bombay and Poona for the last 60 yrs, but they are not considered Dakhani.

  8. jsingh96 is right. Amongst Sikhs of various groups, we are not that different. Compared to other Dharms around the world we have more in common amongst each other as Sikhs. Amongst Christians they have had religious wars between Catholics-Orthodox and Catholics vs Protestents. The Muslims are still having this war between Sunni and Shia. Even the peace loving Buddhists have fought Dharmic wars with each other like the famous war in Tibet long ago between the Yellow hats and Red hats factions with the Yellows ultimately gaining victory after much bloodshed. I have not heard of Sikhs ever killing each other over religious issues. Political issues yes, but not Dharmic issues.

  9. I just saw it last month. I don't beleive it, all these far out conspiracy theories. Although the bit about the world banking does seem true to me(to some extent), but the whole part of Jesus and 9/11, I don't buy it.

I have to admit though, it's a very well made movie. It surely deserves an award.
