  1. I suggest people get a hold of a book called PARASARAPRASNA by Dr Kapur Singh. Its amazing (hey dudes whats up.) I recommend all singhs who are insecure about being called hindu, and those singhs who think sikhi is part of the hindu fold, read this book!
  2. Well i eat like a horse..drink like a camel..and take steroids..and i train almost every day- whether its running or weights. Dont follow this routine singhs, this is just me! Moderate schmoderate! I beleive in 100% or nothing at all. And guru hargobinds singhs use to train in wrestling and weights, so it cant be that bad!
  3. I have alot of views directed at individuals, but im going to stay quiet as to keep the peace. But before people start accusing people of being khalistani at just the mention of opertation bluestar, theyneed to do some further reading or keep their gobs shut.
  4. Its a risk your gonna have to take. To be honest, it could happen to anyone. But with the help of your guru, when u take amrit, you shall keep to it, and taking amrit shall only make u stronger. People do make mistakes, and if u do make a mistake, then seek forgiveness from the panj pyarai at the gurudwara.
  5. Urmmmmmm big up all the singh bodybuilders out there!!!
  6. So in ur eyes kulpreet singh, do u feel that isa, moses, mohammed, etc were saints and not gurus?
  7. After reading this i think sikhs shouldnt feel insecure when they are described as hindus. Hinduism - Introduction Hinduism is the name given to a family of religions and cultures that began and still flourish in India. Like other Eastern religions, it doesn't fit comfortably into the same box as Western religions like Christianity. Hindus do not separate religion from other aspects of life. For Hindus in India, Hinduism is an inextricable part of their existence, a complete approach to life that involves social class, earning a living, family, politics, diet, etc., in addition to the things Westerners view as religious. The word "Hindu" comes from the name of the river Indus, which flows 1800 miles from Tibet through Kashmir and Pakistan to the sea. Originally the name referred to people living in a particular region of the world, regardless of their faith; so in the 18th century someone could quite sensibly be described as a "Hindu Muslim". There are 750 million Hindus in the world, and most of them live in India. In the UK there are 400,000 Hindus, 160,000 of whom are active in their faith. Hinduism includes a very wide range of beliefs and practices, so there aren't many things that are common to all Hindu groups. However they all have a "family resemblance" to each other. Hinduism has no founder, no creed, and no single source of authority. The things most often common to Hindus are a belief in a single Divinity or supreme God that is present in everything, belief in other gods who are aspects of that supreme God, belief that the soul repeatedly goes through a cycle of being born into a body, dying, and rebirth, belief in Karma, a force that determines the quality of each life, depending on how well one behaved in a past life. Most Hindus worship at home and have a shrine there. Hindu temples are the focus of religious life, but there is not a strong tradition of corporate congregational worship. Hinduism has not had a significant tradition of seeking to convert people, although some modern Hindu sects now do seek converts

  11. p.s only clean shaven people apply please
  12. Totally agree with neos post. Speaking during kirtan (gods praise) is damn right wrong and againts gurus jis wishes. We SHOULD take it in our hands to express this to the sangat (nicely.) Infact theres piles of things that need to change with the gurudwara; lets just hope our generation do a better job of running them!
  13. P.S i think the kesh is more than identity, personally. Just like a kirpan or sword is more than a peice of metal for protection; its so much more deeper.
  14. Singh (u know who u are, come on this discussion man, lets give our brothers some inspiration to get pumped and oiled up!)
  15. The way i see it is like this. If u wish to be a traditional khalsa, like the singhs back in the day, then of course dasam granth bani and adi granth bani should be placed with the same sentiment. Prior to the brits coming into punjab, dasam granth was bani..them willy wonkas only took it away from our daily practise because its what gave singhs bir raas, and hence is the sole reason we were outstanding in military skills. If ur more of a saintly bundha, then theres no need to go there..but i think u should. After all, we are saint SOLDIERS (n that!)
  16. niranjan singh has a beatiful voice man..snif snif
