biraadar ..good you reminded me , i called up and inquired, they havent heard of someone doing Sampat Paath of SGDGS ji Maharaaj.

I am not an expert on this subject however what i feel veera is if you do abhyas of the bani you will understand the feeling from inside. I have spoken to Nihang singhs who do nariyal chatka during the yudh description when the dait are slayed by Chandi and on completion too. Some offer saheedi deg in the beginning when the ardas is to be done. I myself havent been too attached to 'offerings' and rituals when i am doing the paath alone. As you do abhyas you could get the feeling inside regarding what you would want to do is. I do not see anything on a  lesser 'level' if i am not doing certain things .

Also i dont come from a family which has been too religious nor have the opportunity of being present in the paath  with the Puratan mat singhs . I used to visit Hazur sahib on Dussehra and witnessed the bhog ceremony of the Dasam paath done during Navraate in individual houses there.

Organized religion and its problems, now since the evangelists are working with full force the VHP will also get active . This is all a political agenda , most of those involved are said to be of the AKJ. Geelani has been siding with them and they will give a bad name to the community. If they can side with people who raped murdered and threatened , who did what Aurangzeb did i am not willing to call them Sikhs.
