  1. I am not claiming that Europe and North America did not treat women badly too by a LONG shot!  They did!  But we were  not talking about Europe or North America.  The Gurus weren't here, they were in India.

So then better stick to Sikhi and stop poking your nose in what doesn't concern you ..! You claim or don't claim what your white race did with women ..children...innocent harmless human beings .

shameless white rogues have destroyed entire populations ..have some remorse ..you belong to such a race who has done sins beyond imagination so dont EVER give anyone names ...

Yes there were no women in the Panj pyaare ..yes there are limitations to sewa..yes there are stray cases of wife beating ...BUT ...they still arent as bad as the treatment to women in the land from where your forefathers claim their origin ..before raising any fingers have some shame ..you belong to the most cunningest race which treated ENTIRE HUMAN RACE badly...you dont even have the right to point fingers at other humans

You owe an apology to the Mayans , to the Latin America ..to the Philippines ..to the Africans....To Goa in India..to hell with your liberal feminism ...trust me ..your race will pay it back ..they will pay with their blood ...there are more than a hundred thousand of those cunning jihadis entering Europe ..they will avenge all the tears and agony of the human race whom you oppressed, raped and murdered all these generations .

  2. Satkirin , for all the shit you throw at Hinduism and Puratan maryada of India here is something which your own white rogue race committed due to which today you exist in Canada:

    http://canadiangenocide.nativeweb.org/intro2.html

    The highlights :

1857: The Gradual Civilization Act is passed by the Legislature of Upper Canada, permanently disenfranchising all Indian and Metis peoples, and placing them in a separate, inferior legal category than citizens.

1874: The Indian Act is passed in Canada’s Parliament, incorporating the inferior social status of native people into its language and provisions. Aboriginals are henceforth imprisoned on reserve lands and are legal wards of the state.

1884: Legislation is passed in Ottawa creating a system of state-funded, church administered Indian Residential Schools.

1905: Over one hundred residential schools are in existence across Canada, 60% of them run by the Roman Catholics.

1907: Dr. Peter Bryce, Medical Inspector for the Department of Indian Affairs, tours the residential schools of western Canada and British Columbia and writes a scathing report on the "criminal" health conditions there. Bryce reports that native children are being deliberately infected with diseases like tuberculosis, and are left to die untreated, as a regular practice. He cites an average death rate of 40% in the residential schools.

You Guys killed children and innocent people , rape murder , land grabbing ...THIS IS YOUR DNA ... full of crime.

Dont Preach us here what we need to do about our maryada  ..see the way your clan  wiped off an entire race ...SHAME !!!

  3.

the Gurus taught us to speak against ritualistic practices that are wrong. In this case being exclusionary and elitism.  The gurus saw all humans as equal.  Traditions which put some on a pedestal over others are wrong.  The gurus own examples are proof of this or else women would still be killing themselves on their husbands funeral pyre.

ALL Maryadas are man made... The closest we have to actual words from Guru Gobind Singh Ji are his 52 hukams and even some people doubt that. So no Maryadas should take precedent over what Gurbani instructs because that IS direct words from our Gurus (and others). You can hold man made Maryadas and traditions over SGGSJ but I never will.  If something seems to disagree with Gurbani then it can't be correct.

Please come out of this mindset of seeing India as some snake charmer country. Women killing themselves on their husband's pyre were in a few states/provinces initially started when the Mughals and afghans attacked and to save the honor the women folk did Sati.

If you claim that this was stopped during Guru Maharaj's time why then did Maharaja Ranjitsingh's wives commit Sati ?

Maryada is man made and just as you want to white wash maryada into one single rule book is never possible .

Japji Sahib says 'Andar Hukume Sabh ko Baahar Hukum no Koe' The command is from inside, then how will you take maryada as?

Akaal Ustat sahib bani, Guru Maharaj says Sabh Karam Fokat Jaan Sabh Dharam Nehfil Maan Bin Ayk Naam Adhar Sabh Karam Bharam Veechar consider all actions (rituals) useless consider all Religion as fruitless , without the support of the One Naam everything else is like a illusion.

So where does maryada fit here then ? where do your feminist ideas fit here ? No..nothing ..naught ..No man ..No woman ..no truth no false ...Just NAAM !

    AkaaaaaaL !

  4. There are 2 types of people in the Sangat , one who actually experience and others who might not but do display the gestures out of complex ..what i personally feel is it is better to dive inside gradually and experience what you personally feel. If you feel to go there and enjoy the experience it is good you can gradually be unaffected to things happening around and just concentrate on the 'Naad' .

  5. Most are Punjabi descendent, though maybe some are indiginous Kashmiri.  Even for those who are Punjabi background, many their families have been there for generations, so the younger generation for all intents and purposes are kashmiri since they were born and raised there.  In Srinagar there is a huge population and another rge population of Sikhs in Baramulla.  In Leh being a small town, not that many but still there are some, and two Gurdwaras I know of, Pathar Sahib and Datun Sahib (where a tree that Guru Nanak Dev Ji himself planted still grows there). I have photos of there as well.

I was lucky last year as I got to follow the same route (silk route) that Guru Nanak Dev Ji followed on part of his travels.  Over Khardung La to Nubra Valley, and also the Chang La pass to Pangong Tso Lake where he also visited on border of China / Ladakh.

Surnames like Raina , Mattoo , Hukku are of kashmiri origin..there are many of them ...

i have been on this route and to the Gurdwaras too back in 2008

  6. Anyone feel strong bolts of energy building internally after some time during meditation? It's like these energy balls want to shoot out of the body. Very intense feeling. Sometimes they are so strong they lead to sudden involuntary movements.

i dont know if i were to term it meditative but after Dasam paath ...i feel the energy flow ..very high ..when i clench my fists i feel to do yudh ..the nose the mouth the center forehead ..they all seem to have that flow ..and then just feel to recite Akaal Akaal Akaal...

  7.

The key to this is in the second line which you have posted and gives the context for the first line. In fact, it's actually an incomplete sentence in the first line....

Those mortals who consume marijuana, fish, and wine (speaking of useless rituals); no matter what pilgrimages, fasts and rituals (the qualifier referring to the previous line) they follow, they will all go to hell (obviously not literal hell, as all that exists is the ONE, but Hell for Sikhs is to be separated from God, so it's saying these things won't help you to become One with God.)

In other words, the Gurus admonished blind rituals and taught that they were useless in our pursuit of merging with Waheguru.  There were many ritualistic practices involving mind alerting substances like marijuana (bhang), opium, and wine (alcohol) - and yes even fish in India...  It is the useless ritual which is being scorned in the above...it's saying all these fake blind useless rituals will get you nowhere.

    Example of a Ritual Fish:
    417104606_124b3fc255.jpg

We can see further down in the same shabad that it was no the act of eating fish or meat which is being scorned but the ritualistic behaviour... when it's stated that the Brahmins may be the Gurus of the physical world, but they still 'rot and die' in the useless complexities of the rituals in which they partook, but still no closer to God:

    ਕਬੀਰ ਬਾਮਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਜਗਤ ਕਾ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
Kabīr bāman gurū hai jagaṯ kā bẖagṯan kā gur nāhi.
Kabeer, the Brahmin may be the guru of the world, but he is not the Guru of the devotees.
    ਅਰਝਿ ਉਰਝਿ ਕੈ ਪਚਿ ਮੂਆ ਚਾਰਉ ਬੇਦਹੁ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੨੩੭॥
Arajẖ urajẖ kai pacẖ mū▫ā cẖāra▫o beḏahu māhi. ||237||
He rots and dies in the perplexities of the four Vedas. ||237||

And finally again in the same shabad, Kabeer qualifes it all by saying that God is not foind through useless rituals etc. because God is within everyone and everything... in every grain of sand, and states there is no difference between himself and God:

    ਸੁਨੁ ਸਖੀ ਪੀਅ ਮਹਿ ਜੀਉ ਬਸੈ ਜੀਅ ਮਹਿ ਬਸੈ ਕਿ ਪੀਉ ॥ सुनु सखी पीअ महि जीउ बसै जीअ महि बसै कि पीउ ॥ Sun sakẖī pī▫a mėh jī▫o basai jī▫a mėh basai kė pī▫o. Listen, O my companions: my soul dwells in my Beloved, and my Beloved dwells in my soul.
    ਜੀਉ ਪੀਉ ਬੂਝਉ ਨਹੀ ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਜੀਉ ਕਿ ਪੀਉ ॥੨੩੬॥ जीउ पीउ बूझउ नही घट महि जीउ कि पीउ ॥२३६॥ Jī▫o pī▫o būjẖa▫o nahī gẖat mėh jī▫o kė pī▫o. ||236|| I realize that there is no difference between my soul and my Beloved; I cannot tell whether my soul or my Beloved dwells in my heart. ||236||

    ਹਰਿ ਹੈ ਖਾਂਡੁ ਰੇਤੁ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਖਰੀ ਹਾਥੀ ਚੁਨੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
Har hai kẖāʼnd reṯ mėh bikẖrī hāthī cẖunī na jā▫e.
The Lord is like sugar, scattered in the sand; the elephant cannot pick it up.  (permeates everything)

    ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਗੁਰਿ ਭਲੀ ਬੁਝਾਈ ਕੀਟੀ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਖਾਇ ॥੨੩੮॥
Kahi Kabīr gur bẖalī bujẖā▫ī kītī ho▫e kai kẖā▫e. ||238||
Says Kabeer, the Guru has given me this sublime understanding: become an ant, and feed on it. ||238||

So we can easily see this shabad is not saying anything about the act of eating meat or fish for sustenence.  It's speaking about useless rituals / pilgrimages / fasts etc as a means to find God, saying all these methods are fruitless when God is in everything and even yourself.  Don't worry about outward shows (rituals), instead focus within your own self, where God is merged like sugar in the sand... immerse yourself in the creation and God by realizing that God is everywhere.  The elephant can't see it because he is separate from the sand... instead if we become like the ant and immerse ourselves within the sand then we will realize we are surrounded by Waheguru.

What problem do you see in that fish ? what tells you its a ritual fish ? this is sent during marriage and don't poke your nose in someone's culture if you don't understand anything. What doesn't apply to you doesn't mean it is bad

  8. I had a discussion with a Kathakaar of SriDasam Granth Sahib a year or 2 ago and asked him as to why were the puratan granths translated and he told him that the Mughals had been destroying the taksaals and it was quite possible that all of this would be totally lost so since India was always inspired by these granths and their content Guru Maharaj had them recomposed in a way .

  9. This is not intended to spark another debate that we will only disagree on forever anyway...

    1. I got married... to the best Singh on the planet, who fully supports equality of everyone.

    2. I took Amrit.

    3. Though Panj Pyaras were five males that day, the Gurdwara where I took it, has had a woman do this seva before.  Further to this, the five addressed the women who took Amrit that day.  They said there is absolutely NO limitations placed on women in Sikhi.  They directly stated "Women who attain this level can just as easily be in the same place we are"  Even better, they then made a direct challenge to the women present with this statement "We want to see at least some of you Singhnis who are here today, be in the same place we are and do seva as Panj Pyaras someday!"  As if my day was not already awesome, THAT WAS ICING ON THE CAKE THAT MADE IT SPECTACULAR!

    4. They also clarified some things:  You do NOT have to be vegetarian. It's your choice if you are (I am) but if you choose to eat meat, it can not be killed the Muslim way.  They also stated that piercings are not allowed because of the association to slavery in the past, however all other jewelry is perfectly fine. Makeup is also not prohibited.  Understanding this, I still don't wear makeup vast majority of the time anyway as I think it looks fake... except once in awhile if I have a blemish I will cover it up with some makeup.

    5.  During our Anand Karaj, we did a few things that challenged the status quo... I only had one friend and her husband present as my family could not make it.  My friend (a female) handed the palla.. A few Singhs went to object and tried to get her husband to do it, but my husband stopped them and said he wanted my friend to do it.  So thats how it happend! This was my husbands idea btw.  Though I did follow in the lavans... I would not have known enough to guage anyway when to stop as there is no screen there with translations.  For me the lavans themselves are not one leading and one following... they are both moving as one unit around Guru Ji.  It's a circle... and a circle anyway has no beginning or end, so there is no front or back.  if he moved further around who would he find in front of him?? And besides, I had more control over his movements, than he did of mine, since I controlled the slack in the palla and could make him move slower or faster based on how much slack I let get in it.  So when Singhs spout that lavans having the male in front is to denote the male's authority that she is supposed to be subject to... I laugh.  I had control over his movements, he didn't have control over mine lol.  To me it's more like a horse and chariot rider... where the male is the horse, pulling the chariot rider to the destination, but the chariot rider is the one who was in control LOL.  (I know some of you will be upset at my analogy, and try to turn it back into male 'leading' female 'following' in order to prove some point of husbands having authority or higher status over their wives but I really don't care.)

    6. My husband suggested I should stop coming here... as certain mindsets will never change and it's so not worth it to stress over opinions of others.

GUYS ..GUYS...ARGUMENTS LATER ...LETS CONGRATULATE THE GIRL...CONGRATULATIONS SATKIRIN ..Good to hear to from you and that this great thing happening in your life..!!!!!!! Vadhaiyaan hi Vadhaiyaan....!!!!!

  10. New thing I''m trying: (well old thing really)

Boiled milk with soaked cus-cus and almonds, a few pistas, a walnut or two, some sugar free syrup and ghee (blended in smoothie maker before boiling).

Dont take this everyday ..it wont do good and cus cus or poppy seeds will also cause constipation.

  11. I think more and more Sikhs are waking up to the reality of how the community was militarily manipulated during colonialism. These days I think only a few very sycophantic and opportunist jat types really push that boat.

In regards to the above, I think Hindus are infinitely less prepared or acknowledging possible trouble here than Sikhs.

I agree with you bhha ji ..there are small groups amongst Hindus who can be said to be tyar bar tyar for the trouble .

  12. We must be vigilant (learn all kinds of rajniti) veer so people don't advantage of us and start taking over but at the same time our core action should be defined by gurmat advait sidhant.. we must ensure we don't loose our core gurmat advait sidhant values - eka dristi, sam dristhi, ikankar, ek jot, sarab jot/manas ki jaat sabhe ek painchanbo. I beleive there were lot more greater fanatic islamist threat during our Guru's time than its now which is mitigated by gov't services/intel etc. If our Guru's despite so many attrocities against our guru ghar by fanatic Islamist never gave up eka/sam dristhi - one universal light humantarian egalitarian vision for all people from all races, religion then we should and must also follow foot steps of our Guru's sahiban/ gurmat advait sidhant. This is difference between middle path (khalsa panth) neither right or left compare to other dharams during guru's time and current time who easily fall into hands of right or left/proxy war agenda

Bhha ji i agree ..we at not stance will be part of this proxy war ..let the goras take the shit they have been building...but the thing is there is a huge diaspora of Sikhs and Hindus who will face the consequences too. I am now telling you what my heart says . I feel the gora is boosting the pride of the Sikhs since a few years to be ready to use them as fodder against sulleh. They are the worst cowards and are creeping into Sikh, Nepali, Rajput diaspora and conferring them with recognition for their contribution and in fact they have allowed them to keep traditional weapons.

For the diaspora the situation will be like between the devil and the deep sea. If they stop their internal crab fights and sit together as people of the same origin only then they can create awareness and be prepared to face what is going to come.

  13. I am happy ..its good to see UK getting occupied by islamists..they came to India as merchants and their nemesis is coming in the form of refugees ..the Big Ben will soon have loudspeakers fitted for the azaan..Allahuuuu Akbar Allaaahhhhhhh ...they have wiped off so many cultures and theirs shall be wiped off too..

  14. Pappi and Dalsingh veers ..what i do is i put on katha while sleeping ..and stable speakers like Giani Maskeen ji and Giani Inderjeet singh ji Raqbe waale and Giani Thakur singh ji mostly. No high pitch kathakaars who excite you ..choose the katha which is like based on deep thoughts ..mool mantar katha or anything similiar.

  15. climbing stairs will drain your energy. It is not a good way to loose weight. reduce your diet and do plenty of walking.meal replacement shakes are also good way to control hunger

Meal replacement will also become your diet and then you would want to go for another replacement . I am taking normal diet ..avoiding fried food..fats etc. as it is i am not too fond of fried stuff..
