Satkirin ..i knew this would end here...guys understand one thing ..this is a lesson for all of us ..today all of us are trying to keep Satkirin pleased as she is a white convert .at every step she has a pre determined argument of judging the Bani of the Gurus from the feminist point ..best of luck to her no issues ..

    But ask this question to yourselves had you tolerated this if she was a convert from a Hindu Family ? Until now one of you must have hurled abuses ..baahmanvaadi ..rss agent ..etc.

    The efforts what the Panth altogether puts to keep a white neo sikh happy had you put for prachaar in the society today the Khalsa would have been more than 20% of the population.

The way i look at the Charitars and have said that before on the forum too i believe ...the Khalsa was no traditional army...there were potters washermen brewers and people from all walks of life ..they were not experienced with the art of warfare and had no idea how they would be fooled to be killed.

    the Mughals are known to use deceit ..if i remember long back i had heard about vishkanya ..vish is poison and kanya is girl..it is said that there use to be units of such women who were used against the enemy..anyone having intercourse with her would die ..i dont know if it was instant or after a certain duration of hours or days .

    So what i feel is Maharaj has provided knowledge in the Bani of Charitaropakhyan in order to alert men..as to how dangerously an innocent looking woman ..the weaker gender that they were considered could do .

    Satkirin please understand it is not to demean women..you might want to argue that why was not anything composed to alert women..but we need to go to the facts that almost everyone of the Khalsa unit was a man ..exceptions like Mai Bhago were there but you could count them on your fingers.

    This is my personal opinion ..and may not be bereft of mistakes ..so bhula chuka muaaf karni ..

  3. I never said anything about homosexuals... What I said was that suggesting that the only men who would marry her would be closet homosexuals, is wrong. That is basically the same as saying that she is ugly, that no man would be attracted to her.  I guess it shows how many Sikhs put physical beauty as being important.  A real Gursikh, would look past the physical looks to see her inner beauty.  I see lots of Singhnis, Amrtidhari women, young and old who also have some facial hair, not near that much, but still they have a visible little mustache.... and they also do not remove it. And they are married.... to Singhs.... who are most definitely interested in other men. I am in no way putting down homosexuals, just the comparison is suggesting that the man who mafrried Harnaam is not interested in women and so married her only because he wishes he was with a man.  That's wrong and whoever said that is basically calling Harnaam ugly.  

    This in no way has anything at all to do with the fact that she is a bit of an attention seeker.... which I already knew.  

    ​My friend can we talk at actuals ? It may sound rude but the reality is ..normally no men would physically be interested in women with beards ..you are talking on the philosophical plane..there are are examples of men marrying acid attack victims too..it is not that the guy has some long standing affair with her ..all respect to Harnaam and her husband ..the homosexual angle is a possibility we are discussing ..its not for fun..what is there to laugh about it ..

  4. Satkirin can we talk about real world ? Would you knowingly marry a man who cross dresses ? Who puts on make up like a female and waxes his body?

    Someone gets attracted when he/she finds the personality interesting . The manly look harnaam carries would obviously attract homosexuals ...99.99% of men wouldnt be attracted to her . By saying it is uncalled for you yourself mean that you do not see homosexuals as equal.

  6. I am a monna/sehajdhari and am strongly against caste hierarchy....i have high regards for dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar...i am more comfortable with my dalit brothers than others from the so called higher castes ..i cant figure out what difference does it make in my perspective towards caste whether i am monna or a singh.

    I have seen more castieist attitude amongst Singhss who talk big ...will give respect to a khan than to a mazhbi.

    In Guru Maharaj's times you find references to Bihar Assam Gujarat Rajasthan Sindh Afghanistan Karnataka Maharashtra Uttar Pradesh  Kashmir Odisha...

    In modern times when there is so much connectivity we are struggling to overcome influences.

    I feel Singh Sabha movement Punjabised the Panth ..what was loosely connected with its diversities is now expected to follow a uniform whitewashed order.

    This is one good reason what makes me visit Takhat Hazoor Sahib time and again, ..we see tribal Lambada, Sikalgar , Wadari, Banjara and Bijnori presence there.

    I have noticed newly married Banjara sehajdhari couples coming there to do matha teko .

    The Hazooris accept them with their differences as long as they dont do any kurehits in the asthaan premises .

I feel what she is doing is to curb her own feeling about how she looks ..and to let all hte world know about her as you all have said. i dont know what you guys would connect to...but the Punjabi women were generally known for the beauty and i do not think that it must have been common to see bearded women otherwise this would have been specially noted by foreign historians that there are bearded ladies of the Sikh faith.

    I dont wish to condemn ..as long as she is happy with her looks its okay.

I was wondering if we can have joint simran sessions maybe fortnightly or monthly which if successful can get weekly too...we have N30 bhaa ji , Sat bhaa ji and some others who are experienced...we can decide on how much time each one can give..this will benefit all of us ..help us become true shishyas...Please share your thoughts on this ..

  10. This has vaishnav bhagti shades...here Baba ji is giving respect to the Guru Granth Sahib ji as a live person..exactly the same way Pushti Margi vaishnavism does their worship. Please dont take this as criticism from my end ...i may not have inclination however i would not comment when there is a Mahapursh saying.

  11. I just fail to understand as to why are we thinking suicidal. Our 4 takhats and 5va takhat chalda vaheer cannot be uprooted and taken to a new homeland.

    Please understand grassroot level issues, Sikhs in a minority failed to perform . ..in majority they will just murder each other ..this new homeland you dream of cannot assimilate Dakhhani , Bijnori, Assamese or other non punjabi Sikhs .  The Jatt is after Bhappas ...mainland punjabis just dont understand other Sikhs . The Nihang and taksali cant tolerate each other and they both again cant tolerate the akj and vice a versa.

    I have roots in the northwest but was brought up in Maharashtra so consider myself Dakkhani...and i know how difficult it is to assimilate back into the northwestern identity.
