  1. I know of gatka masters who do jhatka in gupat ! :) ..they talk loud but cannot even face the world and say ..yes we do jhatka ..

Jagat tamasha hai ji ...Na hum channgge na bura koi....

@jaikara I agree, you see Singh's carrying shingars who have never hunted and what is ironic is that they profess of Sikhs being vegetarians...if they read certain chapters from sri gur panth parkash would they calapse in shock? For example Singh's surving on fish as it is written in an episode. Moreover Singhs look the part but I would put it to you that most sehjdhari Sikhs who trim their beard or moneh would give these posers a walloping! They do not know how to weild these weapons they carry, its all for show. Also it must be said there are too many posers. Poser panth..coined a new name.

  2. I second that. Let Nidar do his business , it is business after all...the others who have problems with him are concerned because he is gaining market .

I do not entirely agree to his views however it was him who brought recognition to the Nihangsingh identity and today dressing up in bana has become fashion. The chaand tora who had ever aware about it ..now every sikh knows whosoever browses the web.

We have every right to disagree ..but in a proper manner ..so much of anger if used against grooming ..the world would shit in their pants ..be positive..views can be different every jathhebandi has something to say.

Seems like singhs enjoy niggers, muslims (grooming) others of different race taking their daughters while we sit back and hurl lame accusations at each other. To gurvindersingh whoever you really are..have you read sri gur panth parkash? You are like the Singh's who loved fighting each other and who let the mughals run from battle when you could have destroyed their forces. Wake up and smell the coffee. Our panth has more important things rather than being hell bent on defaming Nidar Singh's name. At least he is reminding us that Singh's do have a backbone and are able to fight....

  3. We need to 'accept' the transition of the Panth i.e. from a Sant marag to Sant Sipaahi..this balance is only achieved if Aad Baani and Dasam baani are followed.

Aad Bani has a collection of banis of Sants like Kabir Sahib who's baani had bairaag rass...

After persecution of the Guru Sahibaan the Panth started to militarize from the times of Guru HargobindSahib ji Maharaj .

The Dasve Paatsah ji gave a formal military form to the Panth and made it the Khalsa..tyaar bar tyaar .

Persecution had reached its limits and the Khalsa could not live securely..,they lived in jungles and were Chakarvarti...A military order

who was using survival skills was no more the bairaag sant ..he was armed to the core..and ready to fight back .

Every ban imposed by the Mughals was challenged. The Jhatka maryada was one of them, the Sanatan ancient method of decapitating the animal at one blow was stopped and this issue became like a maryada that a Khalsa will eat meat only which is slaughtered by Jhatka.

2.) What would Guru Sahibaans do if the animal suffered i.e. a warrior has brought an animal down with an arrow and the latter is suffering. What would the Guru's recommend?

Answer : The animal is most cases is shot at those parts of the body which are said to give instant death. This is basic rule of any hunter sikh or otherwise...muslims are an exception because they prefer to halal the animal.

3.) Essentially, why did the Gurus' hunt?

To invoke Bir Rass ..to train the fauj to get used to the sight of blood and kill for food too.

4.) What types of animals is the Khalsa not allowed to hunt/consume?

There is not written code..it is understood that beef is not permitted..in Uggardanti baani Maharaj mentions cow protection..

5.) What were the Gurus' views on excessive hunting?
Guru HarGobind Sahib hunted and after the formation of Khalsa it was part of the activities.Excessive hunting is never permitted and traditional hunters know the rules...females are not hunting ..young ones too in many cases ..

6.) Why is Halal forbidden to the Khalsa?

Halal was imposed in India by the Mughals ..they strongly objected to Jhatka ..in rebellion Guruji revived the ancient tradtion and made this a rule which was unsaid..since in ancient India there was no halal..and it ws understood the animal is decapitated at one blow.

I was wondering whether you can assist me with the following queries in relation to Guru Sahibaans' hunting:

1.) How do we justify the Gurus' hunting in light of Shabads in Gurbani which are deemed to be pro-vegetarian and against killing? i.e. (1103) You kill living beings, and call it a righteous action. Tell me, brother, what would you call an unrighteous action? You call yourself the most excellent sage; then who would you call a butcher?

(1128) One who contemplates the essence of reality remains awake and aware. He kills his self-conceit, and does not kill anyone else.

(1375) Kabir, they oppress living beings and kill them, and call it proper. When the Lord calls for their account, what will their condition be? Kabir, it is tyranny to use force; the Lord shall call you to account. When your account is called for, your face and mouth shall be struck.

2.) What would Guru Sahibaans do if the animal suffered i.e. a warrior has brought an animal down with an arrow and the latter is suffering. What would the Guru's recommend?

3.) Essentially, why did the Gurus' hunt?

4.) What types of animals is the Khalsa not allowed to hunt/consume?

5.) What were the Gurus' views on excessive hunting?

6.) Why is Halal forbidden to the Khalsa?

Thank you very much and I look forward to your response.

  4. Akaal hi Akaal hi Akaal hi Akaaaaluhhhhhhhhhh...

Jab Eh Gaye Bipran Ki Reet, Mein Na Karoon In Ki Parteet"

In this shabad Guru Ji holds Khalsa comparable to himself. Once khalsa goes on the path of Biparan then Khalsa will be no more Guru's Khalsa. Here is the asnwer to the questions

Then my question to guru gobind Singh ji if he is still physically alive is where were you when your Khalsa was getting butchered? Where we're you when the Khalsa was at its lowest point? Where we're you when our mothers and sisters were being raped? We're you hiding? What happened to all your big talk that you would die for your Khalsa? What happened to khalsa mero roop hai khaas? I don't need a guru who just stand by and watched his Khalsa get destroyed.

In Sri gur partap suraj Granth mahan kavi Bhai santhokh Singh writes that at the battle of chamkuar guru Ji was begging for shahidi but the Singh never allowed guru Ji to be shaheed. My guru gobind Singh Ji sache patshah panth de vale sahib e kamal Shahe shehan shah kalghidar patshah maharaj ji would never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever leave his Khalsa. Khalsa mero roop hai khas. My guru would have died for the Khalsa. My guru is true and righteous.

GAJJ KE JAKAARA GAJAAVE NIHAAL HO JAAVE FATEH PAAVE KALGIDHAR DE MANN NU BHAAVAYYYYY SOOOO NIHAAAAAALLLL

  5. let me give this a try ..we have more knowledgeable people who can always correct me .

What Santji means that the Aatma dev is consists of the 5 elements of nature (Panch tattva)

Mitti Kutsath Subhaav hai - This i feel he might mean rooted ..the earth (mitti) is the inert element

Pani Sarbaatam Subhaav hai - Sarv-Aatam (of all souls ) which i feel he means is the common element in all souls

Agni Prakaas subhaav hai - Prakaas is light m which i feel he might mean Enlightenment.

Hawaa Chetan Subhaav hai - Hawa or Air flows and is not stable, Chetan means which has life and moves which i feel he means the Soul influenced is not stable (Jadd - in Hindi)

Akaash Puran Subhaav hai - Not getting this

Agian'ch hoiyaa bhul chukka muaaf karni ji ..

  6. Satbachan ji ..this man i know has a malicious mindset .. i have interacted with him personally years back ..and i know what he intends to do very well. He is in Canada and can influence young gore who would see turbaned Sikhs as taliban.

Whosoever says or induces others to think so, that Satguru Sachay Patshah Nanak Dev Maharaj was a muslim, has to be really dull in his mind....

Even a stone wolud be better than that person, as it does not say any such nonsense .....

To say, Baba Nanak was a muslim, is like someone trying to say that spring and winter are the same....and we all know that is not true, while spring(Gurmat) gives coolness and flowers as virtues(humility and purity)...

The winter(manmukhta, moorakhta) only freezes the water ....

So does it, in that way freeze any common sense left in the brains of the stupid moorakhs.....

With each passing day, we do not get enough from these types of moorakhs ....and they go to the universities to teach Sikhee?

These are the real yam doots, spreading anti gurmat among the jeevas in this already heavy and dark Kaliyug ....

Do not listen these people, if anything is to be written and stamped in our hearts and minds, and passed on to the future generations, is at least the Mool Mantra as a solid base of foundation, to preserve the purity of Gurmat, rest all will take place in due time with His Hukum:

    Ik Onkar

    Satnam

    Karta Purakh

    Nirbhav Nirvair

    Akal Moorat

    Ajoonee

    Saibhang

    Guarparasd Jap.

    Sat Sree Akal.

  7. Absolutely and i am a Sehajdhari ..i am first generation Sehajdhari ..hope that i become a sampooran Singh tyar bar tyaar ..if you have interacted with families from around Himachal , Jammu and from the Punjab that is now in Pakistan ..that is the eastern side i believe there are many families who have marriages with Sikh customs and follow only the Gurughar..they have been sehajdhari since generations.

There were Sehajdharis in the Gurus time too.I came across this post on SPN

    http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/hard-talk/6231-sehajdhari-khalsa-print.html

Nearly 3 years after Baisakhi of 1699 Guru ji wrote letters (hukamnamas to some sahejdhari Sikhs - non amritdhari) on 6 February 1702 signed (characteristic authentic Nissan of tenth Guruji) by Guruji. The following is the text of one of these written to Sikhs presumably in Patna as the letter is preserved there.

"Ek Oankar Satguru ji. Siri Guru ji di agaya hai Bhai Mihar Chand Karam Chand, Guru rakhega. Guru japna janam saurega. Tusi mera Khalsa ho. Ik sau ik 101) rupiah haathi di phurmais hukam dekhde he sitabee hundee karai bhejni. Ar hor jo kichh Guru ke namit ka hovai so apai lai avna. Hathiar banh ke avgu so nihal hogu. Us di ghaal thai pavagu Guru naal rahgu. Guru ke navit ka hovai so horus kise no nahee dena ar masand, masandiay naal naahee milna, nahee mannanna, Jo sikh mile so mail laina. Vadheek dikkat naahee karni. Mera hukam hai sangat. Sammat 1758 miti Fago 10, satran Ath 8."

    This is its translation.

Ek Oankar Satguru ji. This is the command of Siri Guru ji (for) Bhai Mihar Chand and Karam Chand Guru shall protect you. Remember and recite Guru your life shall become worthwhile. YOU ARE MY KHALSA. Your name has been proposed for arranging 101 Rupees for (procuring) an elephant. On seeing this command immediately send a draft, and anything else offered in the name of the Guru, you should bring with you. Those of you who will come adorning weapons shall be blessed, their efforts shall bear fruit and their loyalty to Guru shall be upheld. Anything offered in the name of Guru is not to be handed over to anyone else. And you should not socialise with a Masand or a Masand follower nor honour them. Any sikh who intends to join (sangat) should be admitted, you should not create too much hinderance. This is my command to the Sangat. Sammat(the Indian Bikrami calendar) 1758 Date Fago(Faggan the last month of the Indian year) 10 (Western calendar 6 February 1702) Lines eight 8.

I recall vividly that Bhai Chattar Singh explained in one of his kathas the term Shejdhari as being someone one who comes from another faith but also believes in the Guru ghar. I will see if I can dig the recording out. Example he gave was Sain Mian Mir.

Yes the common definition for a Shejdhari is someone who is not Amritdhari.

  8. Sikhs are in both forms Keshdhari and Sehadhari in the physical form ...a true Khalsa Sikh is the one who is keshdhari amritdhari ...what is your purpose ? You want to show that you are not Hindu or that you are Sikh?

First of all be clear that Sikhism is not some opposition to Hinduism...if you are Sikh ..its not that because you dont want to be Hindu and you become Sikh...its because you accept the 10 Guru Sahibaan and the Hazraa hazur Dhan Dhan Guru Granth Sahib ji as your Guru .

It is because you accept Akaal Purakh Parmeswar as your Supreme Guru and as One and Only God Omnipresent .

The physical form you do not have but have you tried to be a Sikh inside ? Bani simran sewa...a combination .

So rather than proving what you are ..just try to be one inside ..i know its tough..we are on the same path veera..we have to keep trying so that we atleast step on the right path .

right but i am nat a keshdhari but i try my best to be a sikh but many of my friend calledme hindu but i don't follow hinduism my father my grandfather were sikh but my mother and my grandmother are hindu and in my famly there is very much hindu influence but idon't follow these things . so i want to know i am sikh or not and how do i convence my friends that i am a sikh

  9. I am based in India ..if you can tell me what the postage charges would be great.Thank you for this sewa.

Beautifully written (highly detailed in terms of arth and knowledge/roots of words etc) by the highly intelligent Giani Rajinder Singh Gill (student of Prof Sahib Singh).

I have acquired a limited number of Hardbacks from Baba Ji and have told them I will share them amongst sangat.

Anyone interested, please PM. I only ask for postage to be covered - otherwise any sangat is welcome to collect from me in South London.

    Thanks.

  10. I think it depends on how you take it ...what is okay to your heart . Ceremonies i believe are for the public , its like making them witness to your unification ritual. I feel its better if you meditate within and find the answer . You are in a non indian country with a different set of cultural ideals. It would not be good to get judged .

Dharam is for man ..man is not for Dharam. Andar hukume sabko baahar hukum na koi...

  11. Maalko kyun krodh aa rehya hai ...siddhi gal hai yaar..aisa tarah hi kuj nahi saabat ho sakda ..

    Jaikara shut up!

Dalsingh those shenanigans are promoted by these groups. Kashi House.

My point is simple, they said and I have heard with my own ears that they do not make profit from sales but they take wages. That is profit. If you cannot see my point that they are a lying thief then God help you.

This money is being used to promote the shenanigans in Nidar Singh Akhara and by Kashi House.
